This bubble tea business Kung Fu Tea is one of my better patronized experience. This location is in Washington Heights, New York, NY on Broadway between 170th and 171th Streets. It is accessible via MTA NYC Transit A train either at 175th Street or 168th Street stations and followed by a brief walk. I purposely chose 175th Street subway station because I verifiably hate 168th Street - A train subway station due to the as its lengthy underground passageway labyrinth of corridors in many blind spot twists, turns and the three (3) large cattle elevators are eternity slow to arrive for access to the street level. In the past I was a victim of a physical assault while making a transfer from the A train to 1 train at 168th Street in this underground passageway labyrinth. Customer service is attentive, friendly and welcoming with accurate order taking and including order fulfillment. Peach Oolong tea, medium $6.00 herbal jelly half sugar 50% more ice My drink was delightfully refreshing as I needed something to conceded a grinding work week to commence a long holiday Labor Day weekend. I actually taste the Oolong tea. My favorite default topping grass jelly (aka herbal jelly) loeng4 fan2 涼粉 is my standard request for $0.75 which was good, but not served chilled. The herbal jelly was blatantly measly paucity for quantity. One word: frugal!! The ice quantity was very paucity in the smallest measurement, amid my request for more ice. Indeed, my drink became room temperature during my long-haul subway ride home. The ice melted entirely during my long-haul subway ride home. Price is reasonable for my drink order. I love this King Fu Tea a lot! This is the only Kung Fu tea that serves poke bowls that you can customized! I found out about this through Seamless and Grubhub back in the day when I used to live here. It's unlimited toppings for 1 fixed price! I always got the 2 meat poke bowls with the raw salmon and spicy salmon. The salmon was always delivered fresh! Very pink and creamy to the touch! They packed it with lots of brown rice too! 3 stars because I only liked the tea and the service. I didn't like the boba, which is kind of the whole point of a boba shop in my opinion. I came here for the first time recently and ordered a lychee black tea with boba. At first sip, I felt something was off: there was popping boba in my drink, not regular boba! Not a big deal, the staff were understanding about this and remade my drink for free, which I very much appreciated. After I got my hands on the correct drink, I regretted it. I wish I just stuck with the first drink with the popping boba, it tasted better than the regular boba LOL. The boba pearls were so hard and not soft and chewy. I disliked them so much that I proceeded to avoid consuming the boba pearls and only drink the tea. Still, boba options are limited in the area so I will probably be back at some point the next time I have a craving. I'll probably try a different topping than regular boba though lol read more

It could have been a little cleaner inside, but for to-go it was fine. The drinks were made quickly and there are a lot of ways to customize your drink like choosing the amount of ice or level of sugar. A large tea (no milk) with bubbles was $5.70 ($6.21 after tax) which is about average for the city. read more

Hi I'm never one to review things. In this case I have no choice but to this. Today I decided to come here to enjoy a wonderful meal with my husband . We decide to eat in the car and while my husband is eating he chews on something that is a little hard to chew on . Guess what it was???? A raw tip used for smoking in his food!!!!!!!!!!!! They recently opened up which may explain the kinks they need to work out. The biggest one is the ordering set up. They have a separate cashier if you're ordering drinks and if you're ordering a poke bowl. If you want one of each...tough luck, you have to wait in line twice, even though the same person is operating both cashiers. I got the preset poke bowl which came with tuna, salmon and shrimp. Although it was expensive ($13) the portion size was generous. The crunchy garlic on top went perfectly with the bowl. I also got an oolong milk tea with bubbles. The boba is soft and chewy. The oolong flavor doesn't come out but this is consistent across all Kung Fu Tea chains. Still a nice treat and I'm glad they've opened up! The opening of this store came with great fanfare because we have all been severely bubble tea-deficient up in Washington heights. It took more than a month from when they opened until they actually have bubble tea. I ordered a poke bowl with the build your own option and a classic milk tea with bubbles. The poke is good, but taste-wise is in the same league as the other poke place in Washington heights. The bubble tea is good and pretty similar to other stores in the Kung fu chain, with chewy bubbles with a hint of honey (my fav out of all the bubble tea chains out there). You can tell that the staffs are new and in training because they took a long time to make the drinks. Because of that, there is a sign that says if you are not satisfied with what you get, they will remake it. I was satisfied with mine, but my friend wasn't and she was able to have another one made to her liking. The store itself is pretty spacious and clean, with a few tables for customers. Overall I am happy that I now don't have to travel downtown for bubble tea, and will definitely come back. read more

2 stars just cause the bubble tea was good. They failed today as I ordered a pokebowl. Order was not correct. As seen in picture says brown rice protein x2. I chose eel and spicy salmon. Okay, I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet. I basically live here- at least 4 or more days a week I'm here in the afternoon getting my boba fix. And I mean, it's cheaper and tastier than Starbucks, so who wouldn't?! The staff here work super hard and are always really friendly. Today is National Boba Day and they were swamped around 3 when I came, but they were still serving everyone in a pretty timely manner and with a smile. Their menu is pretty extensive. We grabbed a menu and markers and just started selecting all the things we wanted! The price for the bowl came out to about $13. The price is pretty standard for poke bowls. The veggies were fresh and adequately crunchy in line with what I've had in a poke bowl in the past. The rice portion was huge. When I finished eating the tuna and veggies I still had at least one cup of rice left. This made for a wasteful meal and one that was certainly not healthy. This place is one of my favorites! I always stop by when I'm in town! They take sanitation and social distancing seriously, and are take out and delivery only. The restaurant provides ample space for waiting for your pickup order. They have so many different options for bubble tea, I can't make just one suggestion... Very bad place. Very idiotic policies. Unpleasant staff. I work for Uber Eats and was picking up order for customer. Wanted to use bathroom badly since was driving from the Bronx and was about to do delivery far. Wanted to use bathroom but an employee ran for me eve inside the bathroom like I'm a bum or alcoholic sort of. They don't even have bathroom for customers too. Imagine you spend money there and wait till it is made and you're not allowed to use bathroom. What if you pregnant woman?? The place opens until 10pm so I just got a poke bowl after getting back being super hungry. My friends said their bowls are good. So I am was having some high hope. I got the one with salmon tuna and shrimp. I mean it is decent but definitely not the best. The bowl looks large so I thought it was a nice portion size. But it is actually just heavy on rice. I really wish they could be more generous about the proteins. In terms of the flavor, it is not impressive either. I got a salmon poke bowl from main campus the other day, which is like 14 bucks. It's slightly expensive but it tasted so good!! And it had large chucks salmon instead of the tiny bits here. It is still nice to have a warm bowl around 9.30pm especially in this area. Therefore I wasted my time and money ordering, driving to pick up, gas, etc. I spoke with the two people on shift at 3pm Monday October 12th, both of whom made it clear that they don't actually offer curbside pickup (even though Seamless explicitly says they do). The last man I spoke with was extremely rude when I asked him to cancel the order. He said " You have to come inside to pick it up otherwise it's not my problem." Then intentionally set the order to "picked up" in the app, knowing full well I never received my order. As there is nowhere to park in the area. In these times when so many are under and unemployed, this level of poor customer service is never tolerable. I Will never order here again and those employees should be reprimanded if not replaced with people more willing to do their jobs. read more

The bubble tea side recently opened up. I got a medium Taro bubble tea the other day & it was a bit on the sweeter side. They also have two registers; one for tea & the other for Poke bowls. I wish they would have one person on each register to make it easier on ordering. The poor girl on the food register was taking orders & passing out teas that like 4 different people were making.
