Seems to be preoccupied with her face and lips. The other girl seems very sweet and accommodating and has answered all of my questions on alternative options. The ambience is very nice. They often times get the orders wrong-I had a banana allergy and told them DO NOT PUT BANANAS IN and they put banana in it. Please check your order before leaving. Pretty nice local juicery. It's a tiny establishment with just 3 high-top bar stools at a small bar. I visited this spot while waiting for check-in time for an AirBnB. I sat there for 30 minutes while I waited and had a phytofuel juice. It was pretty tasty, but I didn't taste any ginger in my (celery, cucumber, ginger, granny apple, lake, lemon, savoy spinach, and Swiss chard) drink. I just focused on the other fresh flavors. I took a star off because of the playoff to go containers and plastic straws, but otherwise, the service was great. The small space was really hot, considering it was an overcast cool day, and the front door was wide open. The bar area was also crazy sticky... the 4 stars are more like a generous 3.5. I usually come here for my beets juice. Recently , I was extremely sick and went there for a fresh orange juice and apple mix . The young lady (the cashier ) who I never saw there before advised that they don't make fresh OJ . How? when the menu states you can create your own juice and oranges is one of the fruits listed. Moreover you are a fresh juice bar and you can't make an OJ mixture or just fresh OJ. I did get three ginger shots as the nearest juice store was out of my walking distance as I was not feeling my best . The young lady was very dismissive and customer service sucked . So I frequently go to break Juicery, and when they are good --they are really good. The past few times I've gone have been a different story. I ordered online using their app. I got notice that half of my ordered was cancelled, I called a couple of times no answer. Turns out they didn't have the ingredient for a smoothie-- peanut butter. However they made the açaí bowl (another item that requires peanut butter) it was by far the worst açaí bowl I've ever had. It was missing fruit and other ingredients. It was basically ice and açaí. This was my first time at this establishment and I was sadly disappointed. First off a verbal fight broke out between the manager and a customer which delayed my order. I must say the manager handled it well because he never cussed or yelled back at the customer. My and my friend went for a jog and came here and ordered the "cool down" and it was the perfect way to cool down ;) they are open for business and you must wear a mask . We waited outside and they were friendly enough to bring the juices out to us when they were ready. I can't wait to try an açaí bowl next time I am down there after a jog. I live in Harlem and I was searching for another smoothie place to try out in the area . The store is super cute and beautiful but the smoothies & bowls if you would call it that isn't great . I ordered 2 Acai Bowls , that actually came in cups . All the toppings were stuck on the cover and the Acai tasted more like a smoothie very frothy and watery . I also got the "Fat Burner" and when I took a sip it literally tasted like watery warm chocolate milk . I asked the lady can she add more ice or something because you could clear see it was watery . She added some and when I got it it was still the same , how can a smoothie be WARM . I just took everything and left . I drink a smoothie once a day every single day and this was by far the worst experience . An ok place for a healthy lunch option in the area. I've only tried their main acai bowl. It feels a bit overpriced at nearly $15. I understand that fruit prices have increased, but I don't think they're truly even serving fresh fruit. The strawberries/bananas especially always taste a little bit frozen. The acai isn't always blended well (ice chunks), but the seeds/peanut butter is always tasty to mix with it. The employees are always super friendly, but they seem a bit understaffed around meal times. Both times I went there were delivery people and customers in rush hours vs one employee who has to rush to blend/make everything. I deducted a star for decor. I get the vibe they're going for, but there's a lot that needs to be repainted. There's also a lot of, well, junk just piled on the little bar area that I think is supposed to be an option for standing-eating. I've worked service jobs so I know it can be hard to clean areas, but the main front seems like it hasn't had a good scrub in a while. I don't know whether or not the cups are environmentally friendly--If they're not, then they're just poor quality cups that leak a lot. I still want to support local businesses though, so if I'm craving acai and I'm in the area, I'll choose this spot. read more

This place needs work. The chocolate peanut bowl tastes like a giant bowl of peanut butter and not in a good way. When I called to complain, the staffer admitted that the ingredients listed on their website aren't what they actually use in the store. Been coming here daily to get a Reboot for my 30 day fast. All the juices have been GREAT until yesterday 4/20/21. Ordered a 20oz Reboot. He handed me a 16oz. I told him it was 16oz and he denied it. So I showed him and he had to believe me (the cup sizes are on the counter). He came back and handed me another 16oz. Kept insisting it was 20oz so I showed him again because THE CUPS ARE ON THE COUNTER. He took back the drink. He indicated my 20 oz was ready - except I didn't hear the juicer making any new juice. Ok I thought.... maybe there was extra. I took my juice - NO RECEIPT (I asked three times for a receipt and he seemed to be stumped about the question and this was NOT an online order.) About 6 blocks away I took my first sip and it was something other than a Reboot. No carrot taste and it seemed to be fermented. I took a few more sips and stopped to tweet to BREAKJUICERY that this guy was seriously off. By the time I got home I had sipped about an inch but stomach was rumbling and that was..... well the indication today was going to have to be a stay at home one. Turns out Dude put Pineapple - I'm allergic - in my Reboot. WTF? I'M ALLERGIC. Can't say based on this I can recommend this place to anyone. I have lived in Harlem my entire life and was pleasantly surprised to see this juice spot open. I was feeling a bit under the weather today and decided to get a boost of vitamin C, via a juice and acai bowl. While the establishment was clean and the staff pleasant, spending 40+ min in a store for 2 items was not. When I walked in there were only 3 ppl ahead of me. One had already placed their order and was waiting. That medium sized smoothie took approximately 6+ minutes then the other person ordered. I didnt realize the time passing because i was on the phone, but was shocked to note that 16 minutes had passed and the 2nd person had yet to recieve their one smoothie. Each person only ordered ONE item. At about 22 minutes in, the 3rd person ordered her bowl, that came around the 30 min mark. My order took a bit over 10 minutes. For those wondering why I stayed, i honestly dont know, under normal circumstances I would have walked out at 10min. I guess our social contract to be polite even in uncomfortable situations wins again. Blame it on my fevered body that didnt want to go out in the rain. Luckily I had sent a text as soon as I entered and when I walked out I noticed about 45min had passed. I dont know about you, but in NYC, or in any business really, that's way too long of a wait when the 3ppl in front of you ordered one item each. As far as taste, the ingredients were not balanced in the juice. Ginger should be used sparingly, and it was a bit much, and the acai bowl was ok, no real flavor. So a 3 star deduction. I'll give them another try and update accordingly (probably not if the experience is worse). But I think I rather go to my local deli for my juice fix. On another note, it saddens me that other ppl have replied negatively in their reviews to some of the other reviewers. I went on a Sunday and received excellent service from Janel that day who was so very kind and pleasant. There was a bit of a wait for the acai bowl, but it was delicious and very filling. I had previously read the reviews and kept note of the long wait times, so it wasn't a problem for me. I wouldn't try this for lunch on limited time, but it was well worth the 20 minute wait for me. I LOVE this place! I work nearby at CCNY and like to treat myself to an acai bowl or smoothie once and awhile. Everything I have tried has been fantastic. Yes, if you are unlucky and happen to drop in when there is a rush, you may have to wait awhile. I am so happy this place is here! A solid option for great smoothies and fresh juices. I will note that on a few occasions over the last couple of months, juice-istas (people taking and making orders) have been unable to figure out how to print receipts when requested and there have been a few hiccups with my fresh oj orders (tasting not so fresh with a strong weird after taste). When I mentioned this, the juice-istas were at a loss for how to troubleshoot (I wondered if the pitcher the squeeze the juice into or the machine itself needs to be purged). This was a very pleasant surprise for me. I had some business to do in the area with the Harlem School of the Arts (which is right around the corner from this beautiful little spot) and someone there recommended I drop in at BreakJuicery. Normally a juice is a juice is a juice, so I wasn't all that thrilled, but they kept insisting. So, I did and I have never been so wrong. I had the "Reboot" (with a little kale thrown in) and it was perfectly mixed. I love ginger, but so many places either don't put in enough or put in way too much. It not only overpowers, but burns. Same with lemon. Too much and it hurts, not enough and it gets lost. Not here! All of the ingredients worked perfectly together (beets!) and the kale fit right in without notice. I got all the benefits and none of the bitter and the staff couldn't have been nicer. I left refreshed and sharp as a tack. Reboot indeed! Owner greeted me and let me take my time deciding and even gave some suggestions. I absolutely LOVE the green tropical bowl! So refreshing and delicious! They clearly make all of their bowls with such care and dedication, and you can tell the owner has been in the restaurant industry for some time, as he really does a great job making sure you're satisfied and right at home. They have plenty of outlets below the window seats to charge your phone, and FREE WIFI. No... just no... I ordered a green juice, (which I had ordered before and it was good the time I ordered it) but the second time, the owner added beets to it, even thought the juice does not call for beets, and so I was a very confused to receive a "green juice" that was red, not green... I told the owner that the last time I got that same juice, it was green not red. He said that "the grapefruit he used was really red".... No grapefruit is going to turn a whole juice with green vegetables in it RED. I tried the juice and as I suspected, it had an overwhelming beet flavor. It's suspicious that he put beets in a juice that didn't call for beets, and even worse that he lied straight to my face, as if I wouldn't TASTE the strong beet flavor in my juice. Extremely disappointed and unacceptable, I could've been allergic or have a sensitivity to beets??? Also these juices are like 10$ each, TRUST ME when I say it's not worth it.
