I said solely because, although the decor and furniture were appealing in their own ways, the ambience at the time of our first visit was more like that of a funeral home than of a vibrant, happening tea shop. Boba Bliss in Caldwell, I found it to be a charming little boba shop, conveniently located next to…read moreCalandra's. The interior is well-decorated, with a decent amount of seating and tables, offering a comfortable space for both small groups and individuals to relax and enjoy their drinks. The menu is extensive, featuring a wide variety of flavors, which made choosing a bit of a fun challenge. I decided to try a few different drinks: the Matcha Bubble Tea, Taro Bubble Tea, and Strawberry Mango Bubble Tea. I also ordered the Strawberry Banana Crepes with Nutella. The Taro Bubble Tea was a standout, packed with flavor and loaded with fresh boba. It had the perfect balance of creaminess and sweetness without being overly sugary, which I appreciated. The Matcha Bubble Tea was also delicious, with a pronounced matcha flavor that felt authentic rather than artificial. However, it was a bit grainy. If it had been smoother, it would have been an exceptional drink, but the real matcha taste still made it worthwhile. The Strawberry Mango Bubble Tea was another enjoyable choice. Although the flavor was more obviously artificial compared to the other two, it was still light and refreshing, without being overly sweet like many bubble teas from larger chains such as Kung Fu Tea. The sweetness levels across all the drinks were perfect, allowing the flavors to shine without being masked by too much sugar. To accompany the bubble teas, I ordered the Strawberry Banana Crepes with Nutella, which was a great choice. The crepe was generously filled with Nutella, whipped cream, fresh strawberries, and bananas. It was a hit, especially with my girlfriend, who really enjoyed the dessert. Service was good, and the prices were reasonable, making it a solid option for a casual treat. The only minor issue I encountered was with the straws. They weren't quite big enough to easily suck up the larger boba pearls, especially in the matcha bubble tea. This could pose a slight choking hazard, as I had to really work to get the boba through the straw. Thankfully, this wasn't an issue with the taro or strawberry mango bubble teas, but it's something they should address. Overall, Boba Bliss is a great spot for anyone craving delicious bubble tea, crepes, or waffles. I highly recommend it for its tasty drinks, satisfying desserts, and pleasant atmosphere.

My friends and I ordered their toter tots, crispy chicken and chocolate bubble waffles with milk tea ice cream to share and I ordered their jasmine tea with cheese foam. Our order was ready a lot quicker than I had expected. The taiwanese crispy chicken was crispy, juicy and tender as they used chicken thighs for it. It was also well seasoned and tasted authentic. The tater tots were also perfectly fried as it was super crispy and they were sprinkled with the same seasoning as the chicken. The bubble waffle was the biggest surprise for me as I have never found a place that does it right (texture wise). This is the place! The waffle was crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside and the batter wasn't too floury as I have often found in other places. But that could also be because we ordered chocolate flavor so I should try their original next time. My only complaint is it didn't have enough chocolate taste for me. The milk tea ice cream, although wasn't the best I've had but it's decent and you can still taste the tea. My jasmine tea with cheese foam was fragrant and the cheese foam complimented the tea well and didn't make it overly filling. Overall, I really enjoyed everything I've ordered here and it's perfect for a mid day or late night snack and drink. I came in with my sister around 7pm and there was no wait. The staff were attentive and super efficient which surprised me since the shop only opened up recently. I met the owner and she's real accommodating and friendly...exceptionally so even though my sister accidentally spilt one of our 4 drinks all over the floor. We helped clean it up but my goodness did we feel bad about staining the tiles. Onto the drinks, they are definitely up to par with other franchise branches; we got two oolong milk teas, winter melon milk green tea (which is my all-time favorite), and peach green tea. I recommend 50% sugar because the large serving will taste too sweet after a while. Seating area is somewhat sparse as it is not a large area. However, I can still see myself bringing my laptop to sneak in some quick work. It's made to be a quick grab and go, and many customers did just that. read more
