I think maybe they have more seats/tables? The pick up area is tiny though Service - why a 3. I've been here twice now. Each time, getting our drinks took forever. At the BuHi location, I got my drink within 5 to 7 mins. Even with a huge rush. This location gives you a buzzer. The buzzer goes off when your drinks are done. The last time I went, my tables' drinks were all done but sitting by the machines. We didn't get them till after we all got up and asked "where are our drinks?" - about 15 to 20 mins later. Kind of weird they didn't buzz us. Hmm. Just glad we decided to go up to the machine folks. They serve food here! Haven't tried any but will one day. Bubbles here are solid. Teas are always super strong and toppings are usually pretty fresh, and I like that they have loyalty points for free drinks! My favorite bubble tea place in Georgia to date! The service is slow, but the drinks make up for it. I have tried the Kung Fu Milk Tea, Oolong Milk Tea, and the Taro Milk Green Tea - all with light ice, 50% sugar, and tapioca. My favorite has to be the Taro Milk Green Tea (recommended by many Yelp reviews). All of them are great though. I never left disappointed: the perfect level of sweetness (50% for me, but many enjoy it at the default) and the best tapioca ever! Honestly, the tapioca won me over. I have no idea what they do with their tapioca, but half of them are black and half are yellow-y? And the yellow-y ones are bomb! There are some people who don't enjoy it, because it has a slightly herbal taste, but I think it's the right level of softness, sweetness, and flavor. Overall, great milk tea and tapioca. If the tapioca wasn't so good, I would probably bump them down a star for the super long wait though. read more

This is one of my favorite bubble tea places to go to near the pleasant hill strip. I normally get the oolong milk tea with tapioca and aloe Vera. Another drink I would highly recommend is the Taro milk tea with tapioca, you can't go wrong with this. The atmosphere is very calm and pleasant. I'm super stoked that we finally have Kung Fu tea branch in pleasant hill, but I'm not sure if I'll come here again for a nice outing with a few friends and here's why: SERVICE: Some of you may know that Kung Fu Tea has their membership app where you can download on your phone and gets $4 credit. If you share you're promo code and your friend uses it, you get $2 credit added to your account. However, there seems to be some flaws with this app 1.) when you insert your credit card info, it automatically takes $25 out of your bank account and puts it in the Kung Fu app. Uhm why? 2.) If you hypothetically have $10 left on your app and your order is $15, you can't combine using all the money you have on the app and outside cash or credit card payment.--this essentially makes it less convenient, in my opinion. This app seems awesome if you're a loyal customer but for me, I'll skip it unless they make some changes to how their app works. However, the staff was apologetic about this app mishap and our drinks were made and delivered quickly. So, their in-store service was good, but their app not so much. INTERIOR DECOR: My initial reaction was that this place is super quaint, cute, and almost romantic. I love the wooden tables and chairs and the lights on the side of the wall leading to the restroom. It creates a very calm and laid back atmosphere. However, this location NEEDS to install sound proof equipments. When this place gets over 10 sit in customers, don't expect to hear what your friend who Sits directly in front of you is saying. It gets so loud and there's nothing to ease out the sound. I stayed there for an hour and left with a raspy voice and a headache from all the noise. And mind you, I'm normally very loud already. This is a problem, and I hope the management will find solutions to this problem. Overall, I love Kung Fu tea because it allows the customers to customize the ice and sugar content of each drink and I'll come here again. But, this location is not a place to get work done or a meet up location for a nice chat when they are busy. I just recently learned about this location of Kung Fu Tea and it's what I look forward to every time after I have my KBBQ feast somewhere else on Pleasant Hill Road. I personally love milk teas and I get the Green Milk Tea, Oolong Milk Tea, or just the Kung Fu Milk Tea (black tea). I've also tried their Taro Milk Tea and it has a unique taste compared to other taro milk tea's I've had. If you're lactose intolerant or looking for a non-milk option, the Green Tea is strong and has an amazing green tea taste. Coming from Taiwanese decent, I am super particular about the quality of my boba. I can definitely say that KFT has great boba. I also think it's cute that they recently changed their boba to be both white & black colors. It's just the right texture & chewiness. Although the store is small & the parking lot can be cramped, I highly recommend trying this place out. It's totally worth the wait. ... My reasoning for the lower star rating is the customer service here and blatant selective friendliness I experienced here. The only reason I stopped in here was because I happened to be in the area and love the Doraville location. There was a group in front of me ordering in which the gentlemen at the counter was nice and chatty with. Then I stepped next and I am not sure what happened but the attitude completely shifted. I approached with a smile and friendliness and was met with a blank stare and no type of greeting. What did I do to this man?! I was tempted to say something right then and there. Honestly, I should have walked away and not even ordered but I was already at the counter and people were behind me so I did not want to be "that girl". hmm for the first location of "kung fu tea" (buhi location), I gave it a 2-star which translates to "meh, I've had better" according to yelp's rating scale. this location is no diff. pleasant hill is just another twin of buhi when it comes to asian snack spots and bubble tea joints. so now that pleasant hill has all these bubble tea shops popping up and competing with one another, the question is.. WHY WOULD YOU WANNA PAY MORE FOR THE SAME STUFF? I tried the Oolong milk tea and really enjoyed it. It's sweet and tangy at the same time and the boba is a really great consistency- not hard and not too soft. I also tried my boyfriend's piña colada slushy and was pleasantly surprised. It was really sweet and tasty, with a really smooth texture. There's a lot of seating available but it does get really busy. I think the tea here is sweeter than other places I've tried, so I consider it more of a dessert than anything. Came here Sunday evening and wasn't packed at all, unless you count the people sitting down which I don't! Service was friendly, though I couldn't understand the cashier. Ordered large taro milk tea with grass jelly to go and waited about 10 min. I've yet to find a good place that serves quality grass jelly besides Snow Mountain until this place. The peach green tea is probably one of the best green tea's I've had from a Duluth cafe so far. Can't say anything for the tapioca or the milk tea here. I love how the chicken nugget seasoning is self-serve, got to make it super spicy and just a tiny salty. Nuggets are cooked well, and they give a lot more fried basil in the box (v important) than Sweet Hut and other places. My boyfriend got the matcha milk and it was REALLY flavorful and thick(not in a bad way), but a little too sweet for my liking(they can't adjust the sweetness for this drink). We also got chicken nuggets and friend mushrooms. Both were yummy. I think I saw a sign saying that they had free wifi, but I personally don't think this place has a good study environment. Then I saw that my drink was ready, but I had to wait for 3 other orders in front of me to be called. Don't worry. I won't be back. I have been a regular customer for many months. When I get busy, or have an animal in the car I call in my drink ahead of time. However, last week I called in my order and showed up right when I told them I would. There was a line almost out the door. When I approached the counter & told them I had called in my drink they told me to go to the end of the line. When I explained I called in ahead, the young man told me I had to wait. I had a dog in the car & it was hot. So I told them I didn't have time to wait, that was why I called in ahead. He said it didn't matter. So I left. They have lost me as a client. You don't treat any customer that way - especially with lots of people watching. Woohoo! Kung fu tea is open in Duluth! It's right by honey pig and orange coffee. I'm so glad they opened closer to my house. The original Kung fu tea is on Buford hwy. it was further for me. I tried here for the first time with my boyfriend when I was dropping him off at the airport. They definitely have unique and different kinds of bubble tea. Not your usual kind. And I would have to say hands down they make the best bubble tea out of everywhere else in my opinion. Although it is little more pricier than the other bubble tea places. But I do think you get what you pay for. It is kind of small so I wouldn't study here. But try their bubble tea :) read more
