The food her is amazing!! I got the Oxtail pizza. I've been wanting this pizza for a while and it did not disappoint!!!! The Oxtail was seasoned and tender. The pizza had plenty of cheese! Stopped here for lunch with a friend. We ordered the brussels sprouts which were OK. They did have spicy peppers in them. That was not listed on the menu so that was an unexpected twist. The salmon tacos were quite delicious but the chicken birra tacos were subpar and were not extremely flavorful according to my friend. It did take a while for us to get our checks, but I would come back. The service was good. The server was extremely nice, but they also were not busy at all. Random visit to Kulture with my bestie. The idea was to order through DoorDash for pickup but found out that they stop walkout orders after 4pm. We walk-in and greeted by the hostess, super personable and welcoming. We ask for takeout when we were told about the 4pm. With the help of another extremely helpful female bartender. They put us at a table and ordered our food and would bring out to-go plates when our food came out. Win-win! The bartender asked if we wanted a drink and since we would be waiting we grabbed 2 cocktails. Food came out and they mentioned we didn't need to rush out so we ended up staying to eat. There's both indoor and patio seating, we sat on the patio by the windows, which had great natural light. The menu has a lot of roll options to choose from, we tried the steak rolls, which were just okay. Drinks were a bit disappointing. I had the tiki punch and it tasted flat. The highlight of the meal was the oxtail shrimp pasta which absolutely delivered. Rich, flavorful, and easily the best thing we ordered. Definitely worth coming back for. We also had the red velvet cake. It was good, but overpriced for what you get, more like a jumbo cupcake for $15. Service was great. Kulture definitely came out swinging with the fusion menu! My party had a hard time choosing between all of the decadent looking options. While enjoying strawberry Henny cocktails, we settled on some wings, grilled cheese with birria, spicy ramen, and oxtail and seafood Alfredo. As you can see from the pictures, the plates were loaded! Checked out Kulture in NoDa for brunch on Sunday. It's decent. Didn't love it. The Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer was quite tasty and prepared well, but it arrived AFTER we had finished our entrees. Need some kitchen management there. Presentation was nice for all dishes, but my grits were lumpy and the salmon was under seasoned. Companion seemed to enjoy the Jerk Chicken sandwich. The ladies next to me were HIGHLY disappointed with their food. They said there was too much gristle in the oxtails and the nachos appetizer was a bust. Maybe it was an off day. The vibe in the place was nice on a Saturday at 5 p.m. Wait 90 minutes, no digital system just a notebook and name call; and the only reason for the 4-star. I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at Kulture NoDa was so disappointing that I feel obligated to share it. I visited on Juneteenth with a group of coworkers who had all taken the day off to celebrate together. Before arriving, I had even messaged the restaurant to let them know a large party was coming. Their response was, "That's fine come on in we will take good care of u guys. See you soon" Unfortunately, that couldn't have been further from what actually happened. When I arrived, I informed the host that I didn't have a reservation but was expecting a large party and asked what the largest table available would be. She told me they could accommodate up to 12 people and explained that at least half of the party would need to be present before being seated, which was completely understandable. However, throughout the interaction, the host seemed extremely timid, difficult to hear, and lacked the confidence needed to effectively communicate with guests. While waiting for my coworkers, I sat at the bar. Despite there being multiple employees behind the bar, including what appeared to be a manager, I sat there for 5-7 minutes without anyone acknowledging me or offering service. Several employees walked by without even a greeting. The only reason I eventually received service was because a woman who had just clocked in noticed I hadn't been helped and took the initiative to assist me. About 30 minutes later, my coworkers began arriving. Once five of the twelve were present, I checked with the host to see if we could be seated while waiting for the rest of the group. She told me yes and asked for a moment. Shortly afterward, when eight people had arrived, she attempted to seat us at what appeared to be a five-person table. When I questioned where the table for twelve was, she responded that I had told her there were only five people. That was never the case. I had simply provided an update on how many had arrived. I then asked how long it would take for a table of twelve to become available. First, I was told it would be a 45-minute wait because reservations were arriving. Then, almost immediately, I was told it would only be 10 minutes because two tables were getting ready to leave. I watched employees clear and prepare those tables, assuming they were being readied for my group. Instead, the host and a manager in a gray polo seated another party there. What made the situation worse was the complete lack of communication afterward. No one came over to explain what had happened, provide an update, or acknowledge the confusion. The host actively avoided eye contact, and we were left standing there wondering what was going on. At that point, I gathered my coworkers and decided to leave. If I'm going to spend my money somewhere, I want to feel seen, valued, and respected as a customer. Unfortunately, Kulture NoDa failed on all three. What makes this experience especially disappointing is that I was genuinely excited to support a Black-owned business, particularly on Juneteenth a day that holds significant meaning for our community and our history. Instead, my first visit turned into one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had. If you're considering dining here, go in with an open mind and understand that service may be inconsistent or nonexistent. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Kulture NoDa, and unfortunately, I won't be returning. read more

It's so unfortunate that black owned businesses usually are the FIRST to let us down. I visited kulture on Father's Day, which was also my boyfriend's birthday. We arrived at 4pm and were told that they would not start back taking names for the waitlist until 5 pm. I understand restaurants get busy, but to completely stop taking names for an entire hour is crazy. When there are multiple empty tables and people are leaving as well. So much business was lost on that alone. At 4:45 I was talking to someone else waiting on a table who walked up after us and was told that their name was taken for the waitlist... excuse me??? I go inside and speak with "miss jay" who says "yes I remember you, there are 8 parties already on the list". So when exactly did she start adding names to the list because I was told 5 is when the list would resume...? That was a big problem for me. I've worked in the restaurant business for YEARS and know that being organized is essential to run any restaurant. And this place is not. I asked her why others were added to the list and we were told to wait and she stated "it's no big deal everyone will be say within 2 mins of each other" which we were indeed NOT. We finally sit down around 5:30 and order. Every person's food came out at a different time. We were already finished eating and my mother's food hadn't even hit the table.
