One of my favorite breakfast spots in Framingham! This place falls second to Frescafe, however my girlfriend prefers the eggs benny here, so I visit the two fairly often. The service is usually good (mostly older women) who treat you like their grandkids. They never seem to remember when I ask for extra maple syrup, so I'll deduct a star for that and the food quality. Love, love this place! No frills, old school, just plain good! It is a tiny whole in the wall, but what they do, they do real well. Great breakfast spot on the weekend, but good to go early as they do fill up quick and there are only about a dozen tables. If you love blintzes, they sweet and delicious. Great knishes. The New England yellow oval meat filled kind. Brings me back to my childhood family holiday dinners. Had a very tasty bowl of Matzoh Ball soup. Best place to go with kids! Hands down! They have good basic food at reasonable prices and often have coupons too. The waitresses are nice and the food comes out really quickly. I swear they must expedite the food for tables with kids which is wise as kids are quieter and in and out faster and they get happy repeat customers. I walk into Kugels deli on a Sunday morning after a fun night with my friends expecting a good meal and a good time. Unfortunately I only received one of those things. The waitress started it off my throwing my utensils in front of me. Not placing, but throwing. To be quite frank it seemed like me and this lady have some serious beef. After that first encounter I was like okay I'll give her another chance. Then my friend felt scrutinized for showing up with a Dunkin' Donuts coffee which he had to pour into a styrofoam cup which is awful for the environment. Kugels lack of straw is clearly saving the turtles but not saving my health. The food was alright which is probably saving this mediocre place of dining but the service was certainly more on the butt side. If you go in there just expect to be hit in the face with tension and the aroma of beef stroganoff. All in all pretty ass experience. Kugels has been schnitzeled! read more

We heard good things/reviews so my bf and I were looking forward to trying a new deli. Big letdown: first, our waitress Vera from Mel's Diner, wrote our order down word for word in what we figured was a diligent manner. My order showed up correctly but my bf's was all messed up. Then, since they feature corned beef sandwiches and other kosher style stuff on the menu, I assumed the hash would be homemade. It definitely wasn't since I asked and it was confirmed by Vera. The roasted potatoes were hard and at least a couple days old. My bf wants me to add that the lox omelet was made from belly lox, not his fav altho some people might be ok with that. I had been by this place a thousand times, but never stopped in to eat. I stopped in here to grab some lunch for the Pats playoff game. The corned beef sandwich was terrific and the pieces of chicken within the chicken noodle soup were huge. I finished my wife's chicken salad sandwich as well. Good food for the money. I've relocated and have been dying for a great sub shop or deli. Someone mentioned this place. I had great hopes when I noticed that the place was packed. I ordered some latkes and a hot pastrami sandwich - HALF a hot pastrami as the waitress told me that the sandwiches were fully loaded with meat. I ordered the latkes as soon as I sat down hoping to have them as an appetizer, but they did not show up until after my sandwich. The latkes were a little too thick and not crispy enough for my liking. The hot pastrami sandwich was definitely not "fully loaded" (I am used to the sandwiches that you can't fit in your mouth because they are so thick - this was not one of those). The meat was also very obviously not freshly sliced either. It tasted more like store bought, packaged meat. I wouldn't expect this from any place trying to pass as a jewish deli... Been there, tried that, not expecting a return. read more

"Friendly, Homey, Comfortable, and Very Affordable" I had the lox platter. It is quite large, and with decent quality lox (smoked salmon). Two people could easily share this plate, and for $9. it can't be beat. My wife ordered corned beef hash and eggs, and found the hash too salty. She sent it back, and without a comment it was taken off the bill. It is not the prettiest or most up to date deli you will find, but it serves its purpose very well. Real homefries (as opposed to places who just deep fry theirs; or those who add garlic)... Hollandaise had good flavor too. A fantastic find! My friend and I were roaming around after a stressful morning and saw this plaza. I'm glad we stopped. I thought it'd be a simple sandwich place but it was so much more. The menu is outstanding. I ordered the beef barley soup- delicious and my friend ordered the liver and onions (great if you like liver!). They also had poutine on the menu! Yum! It's so rare to see that offered in my area. The chef even came out to talk to us about the dish since he's just introduced it to the menu. He even gave us some info on where to purchase cheese curds for our own recipe. We heard others ordering 'kugel noodles' so we decided to try it and got a fruit batch to take home with us. Amazing. Seriously. So delicious. It's like a pudding but so much more. I can't wait to go back to Kugel's and try more of their delicious and very reasonably priced food. Go here often for breakfast on a Sunday morning. While it is not a fancy place we find the service to be good and the portions are very large. We like salami and eggs and they give you a very large portion including a bagel. Prices are very fair. I would recommend if you are looking for a good sandwich or breakfast. read more

I eat here frequently. Not because the food is particularly good. But, there isn't any choice for "Jewish" oriented food on this side of town. If you want quality go to Zaftigs in Natick. Kugel's is a mess, I don't know what the story is with the TVS, you can't really hear them anyway. I think the owner does what he likes for himself - not for the customer. The salmon spread always has way too much garlic. I've complained a few times and the waitress has told me so have others. It's an older clientele that generally wouldn't appreciate this. The owner makes it himself and apparently it fits his poor taste (as evidenced by the decor). The place uses lower quality meats and the seating is poorly setup. The service varies according to volume and can be very poor or very good, the management never enters the dining area or helps when it gets busy, supervises the staff or seems to care! read more

Excellent deli with a major flaw. They fill their cream cheese with onions. I spent 10 minutes removing the onions.

Very shocked today, I ordered a omlet and the vegetables were not even cut. I got chunks of vegetables instead. My toast was burnt. Was not given receipt.I never called to complain but threw out their food instead. I thinking im going somewhere else next time. read more
