My fiancée and I found out about Kuali via the Entertainment Book and decided to give them a try. We were plesently welcomed and shown to our seat. The place is nothing special for the eyes, we did not see any windows but its clean and there are lots of photos of Malaysia on the walls. The place is quaint and relaxed. It is also BYO and the staff were very friendly and attentive, topping our water whenever the glass was near empty.
We were advised the signature dish is mud crab, which we decided to go with. We had it with their special curry, as this was kindly recommneded and wow, was it special!!! We kept ordering roti bread (also very tasty) to soak it all up and when the sweet succulent crab (1 between 2 people was plenty for us - you decide on the size) was polished off, we finished the curry with our spoons - it was the most amazing curry I have had in a very long time. Visiting this place is worth it for this dish alone.
We have since ordered takeaway and as much as there is nothing wrong with their other dishes, nothing compared to the mud crab, and the curry served with it can only be had with the mud crab. read more
