Eggs and potatoes
Raúl R.

Driving up from Cleveland to Detroit I stopped here to have breakfast. I was just going have pancakes but ended up getting steak and eggs and potatoes. The food was decent. My favorite were the pancakes. Coffee was my least favorite. I did get lots of food for $25. Service was good. Looks like it's run by a family. Good peoples. Definitely a good and friendly place for breakfast

OMG... First of all, who put my auntie in the kitchen. LOL. Stacey said it must be good because she don't eat eggs. She waxed them eggs! Grits was on point!!! My pancakes? I'm verklempt. They put powdered sugar on them (wiping eyes). I could say more. But I got the itis now and am temporarily stuck on stupid. This place... we'll definitely be back to try lunch. Angie...WE'LL BE BACK!

YUM! Quick stop in Toledo and we found this on our way out of town. Our server was Jeni and she was so friendly and took great care of us. The place was PACKED and everyone was working hard, which is a nice change of pace compared to most places these days. The food took a little while - however Jeni made us aware of that when she took our order. Our drinks were refilled and the wait wasn't bad at all. The food was FANTASTIC. Mom had a little burger that had a grilled bun and was cooked exactly how she wanted it. Sis had the veggie omelette and it was MASSIVE! Tons of veggies. She was slightly put off by the amount of butter on her toast - but I thought it was perfect. I had the KT bene which was a corned beef hash eggs Benedict. The eggs were poached perfection. Everything about the experience was lovely and if you are local or passing through, it's well worth the stop!

Uuuuge omelette, quite tasty. A bit over-cheesed for me but hard to say that's a negative. Fruit bowl was fresh and toast was warm. Great parking lot for fellow truck peeps. Very nice people, clearly a local fave. The best part was the sensible pricing. Under $10 for breakfast is a home run. Had to wave for coffee refill but overall a winner.

Sometimes you just want a quick, hearty meal without overpaying for "ambience." KT's delivers great food at a great price with great service, period! This place under-promises and over-delivers. Everyone here is friendly and genuine. I ordered breakfast and the entire plate was cooked to perfection and tasted just the way I had hoped it would. Eat here, you won't be disappointed. Special thanks to Amanda for the fantastic service.

This place has probably changed ownership 20 times in the past 50 years. It's location could be considered ideal for a restaurant, but since it's so close to the heart of Toledo shopping many cars just whiz on by and head for the chains up Monroe street. That's a shame if you ask me. Little neighborhood diners like this are key to community. All sorts of different folks sitting around, chatting with their servers, catching up on local politics and enjoying delicious diner food. After driving by a million times, we stopped in today for some sunday brunch. It should be noted that they close at two, and we arrived at 1:30 greeted with smiles and great rock-n-roll playing in the background. The sassy, very sociable server was also the owner. Her husband back in the kitchen frying up the eggs, and her daughter cleaning up tables. This is a real mom-n-pop affair. Just like we like it. The menu looked worrisome. No graphic designers were employed in the making of this document. The offerings we're expected, and classic. That said, the food we ordered was good. My wife got a breakfast sandwich on a croissant. Croissants aren't typically offered at diners, and if they are it's usually an up-charge. She requested extra crispy bacon and it was perfectly cooked. My mexican omelette was great. Wonderfully greasy with cheddar cheese and chorizo. I subbed the potatoes for grits, and the grits were GOOD. Grits! They have grits! I know it's a small thing, but I love grits. When we asked for hot sauce, she asked "what kind?" and offered up several varieties. More toledo restaurants should take note. Being treated like a regular on a first visit promises we're going to become regulars. Yes, the place is a little dingy and hole-the-the-wally, but for me that ads to the charm. No frills, just decent food and friendly service.

French onion soup. Delicious!

The menu has a wide range of options to choose from We got the ham & greyere omelette and added spinach which was one of the best omelettes I've had. The combo was a perfect mix of cheese with the saltiness and flavor of the ham. We also got the avocado toast with the basted egg which was very fresh. They used some very fresh avocados, it seems they used the whole avocado cause we surely weren't lacking. The biscuits and gravy were extremely good. The biscuits had a slight crunch and were freshly made. The turkey gravy was flavorful and light The drinks are premade but also very well done. Slightly on the sweeter side but still well done The restaurant was packed with a 15-20 min wait but there's a community table that we sat at and we were seated immediately, fun hack for couples. Only one other person sat at the table with us so it was like we had to it ourselves, though we wouldn't mind chatting to random strangers. We love this place and will be back

I was told they don't take reservations but that we could sign in to the waitlist. When we got in there was nobody under our group's name.. not sure if we didn't do it right but was a little confused by that. Either way, we were able to get a table right away, a nice booth in the back at that. It's kid friendly too which is always a plus. There is so much deliciousness on the menu it's great! There is something for everyone and all of it tastes great. I will say the chickichanga I had was a bit spicy but still really good. Also, you have to try the different drinks they have! I got the kale tonic and caramel crunch coffee, both AMAZING! Although if you're lactose intolerant I'd ask for dairy free milk and if you're not into sweet stuff this is probably not for you. I was a little disappointed in the waitress. She was super kind and personable but I felt like she didn't ask enough questions, like when I asked for the coffee she never asked what milk I wanted (I should've clarified but still). I also felt like she didn't show herself enough. It wasn't terribly busy so I felt she could've done better. Otherwise, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This truly a wonderful experience for all ages and varying tastes. A tremendous and welcome change we've come to endure from other dining experiences. Here the customer is THE primary focus from the moment you walk in til you walk out the door - BRAVO!! The food, had the Mayberry Mega where you pick your 6 omelette ingredients. Normally a crap shoot in most diners but here it was a home run. The ham and sausage were nice size chunks, juicy, and full of flavor. Spinach, onions, and tomatoes were fresh and perfect sizes and good quantities for the dish. That leaves the cheese my one "ding" would have preferred shredded cheese vs sliced cheese because of flavor and texture - but it didn't take away from a wonderfully prepared omelette made and severed with genuine care. Potatoes were frozen BUT they were prepared exceptionally well for dinner dare they were soft and cooked with a nice crisp. It was a superb surprise and a very welcome one. The coffee was fresh and hot and the standard "acidic" coffees you'd find in most diners anywhere, but overall inviting enough to have a few cups for a discerning coffee "snob" like me. Place was PACKED so all tables and booth were full, but they have a nice counter service with plenty of seating and space to move and eat and be very comfortable for your meal. What's fascinating is the incredible teamwork and collective desire to ensure your time, experience, and meal are spent enjoying your company and food not staring at your watch wondering about time. The entire restaurant was seated, served, and cleared with clean tables within the time I had to get and consume my own breakfast. So if you see a packed house on your arrival and don't desire that counter seat fear not - in this home environment your wait will be short and your day will lose no valuable time - well worth some minimal patience - you'll be glad you did. Your greeted as soon as you walk in by one or more of the extremely hardworking waitresses with a smile - your also sent off with a "Thank you. have a Good Day" by one more waitresses as you leave - both excellent touch of service class enhancing customer experience. I've never seen a more well-run diner or any restaurant from the waitresses to the cooks to the dishwashers the teamwork, attention to details, customer satisfaction, and to the incredible cleanliness of the restaurant despite the constant flow of customers - I've never seen a restaurant so clean and kept so clean the out the day. So what are you waiting for come to Mayberry where a warm greeting, clean home, exceptional food are calling YOUR name today...I'm returning perhaps I'll see you there....Bon Appetite!!

The egg white veggie wrap was nicely portioned without being over the top; a little mustard and hot sauce was required to complete the profile, but that's fine. The veggie omelette was good, with a big portion of hash browns and a decent quantity of veggies in the omelette. Hot sauce and mustard were also our friend here, but that works for me. The staff were very friendly and attentive, even beyond what we would have expected. All told, this was an excellent experience if you're looking for a fast paced diner breakfast.

But it was, to me, kind of bland, as were the tomatoes and even the onion. Not bad, but when mild mayonnaise dominates the sandwich, it ain't my thing. But I'm a hot sauce enjoyer. To each their own. The fries were a bit better, lightly crisp flour-covered things, but again: kind of unexciting without ketchup. They were fine. The store's decor was mostly mom-n-pop nice, attractive and probably comfortable (I did takeout). The carpet was worn and maybe a bit grimy. I'm thinking that's because of the breakfast and lunch crowd the restaurant attracts, many of whom have been working hard at jobs that get their shoes dirty. No points off for that. Service was friendly and efficient. Prices were good, and the portion they served me was just right for a hungry driver. Parking was easy and the store was easy to find and get to. Overall: fine. Not for me, but I can see why it gets four stars overall.
