Black Sugar Cream Cake with pearls
    Courtney Y.

I came here solely for the boba cake as I saw pictures online of it. On the menu, it's called "Black Sugar Cream Cake." The cake itself was very mild and nice which I guess it's understandable as the flavor of the pearls made the dessert delicious. I love sweet and chewy pearls so I enjoyed my dish! More so, the place is very big and spacious, large enough to for people to have study groups for sure. The only downside of the cake was the price. I personally felt like it was too expensive for about $8 a piece for a small slice.

This place definitely nails the aesthetics and luxury. - Dim romantic atmosphere, perfect for date nights. - Variety of items - drinks, cream cakes, cheesecakes, crepe cakes, shaved ice (but not that many choices for each category) - Service is friendly (note we were the only table there at the time) - Prices are decent, but a little high given the portion. My drink was extremely small, the smallest I've ever seen. It took quite a long time to come and had a thin layer of pearls. Cakes are around $6-10 and drinks are around $5-6 (pearls are an extra $0.88). I don't think I will come back because this cafe is a little out of the way for me. It's definitely worth trying for the experience (Givenchy forks, Aesop hand soap, washroom diffuser, and metal business cards).

Interior not that big, but for a dessert place it's not too small, with some trendy interior. . Was pretty lively and busy on a random weeknight, but maybe because holiday period where students are out of school, but we snagged an open table before the place got full. Order at the counter and they'll call your number to get the food. Waited for 5 mins for our order. We got the red bean bingsoo. Pretty substantial serving of shaved ice with red bean, shaved almond, raisin, and other toppings. I like that the toppings weren't super sweet, but they also give a small cup of condensed milk to up the sweetness. Portion is definitely for sharing unless you want to eat dessert for a meal.

The shaved milk ice itself wasn't very saturated or creamy, and there was a lot of cocoa powder, which made it taste kind of dry overall. I didn't leave feeling super satisfied. That said, the service was great! The staff was really friendly and honest -- when I asked about the mango bingsoo, the person helping us let me know the mangos weren't ripe yet and might taste a bit tart, which I appreciated. Also, there's plenty of seating, so it's a nice place to hang out and chat without feeling rushed.

Makes it a great choice to finish off an evening with friends or to bring home. Their flavours are great and they add in new ones regularly! My favourite is the hotteok, highly recommend. Getting a 5 pack is totally worth it. They reheat well in the air fryer and makes for a good snack at home. Can get loud and busy on weekends, so takeout is better then!

Well I took the fish shaped waffle off the soft serve and ate the sorbet with a spoon then took a bite out of my waffle fish! Apparently after watching everyone else around me, you're supposed to just bite the waffle while it sits atop the soft serve. Oh well I guess I'll have to come back and try it that way next time! The soft serve is very light and the flavours are delicate. The waffle is really yummy with a soft chew. It's a busy and popular spot filled with teens and twenty somethings. The lineup moves pretty quickly but seats are often taken. Tables don't get wiped down often as staff are busy making cones but you can always ask them to wipe it down for you. Great dessert place for something light and refreshing.

This place is well known for its mille crepe cakes, and we can see why. The cake was light, soft, and beautifully layered with what looked like 30+ thin layers. They offer 15+ flavours, including durian, mango, matcha, pistachio, and tiramisu, so there are plenty of options. We liked that the cake was not too sweet, which made it easy to enjoy. It felt like a perfect dessert for a celebration with friends or family. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The service is a bit slow, but we think it is worth the wait since everything is freshly prepared. Overall, we had a lovely experience and would order again for another special occasion. We tried both the matcha and pistachio crepe cake and I found the pistachio to have a nicer flavor. Someone had the durian slush and they loved it. If you love durian, it's a must try as it packed a strong smell! The mango fruit was fresh but there were annoying fruit flies buzzing around. Another had the mango with taro mochi ice dessert. The mochi was delicious. Overall we found the prices to on the higher end. Ambiance: 4/5 - nice clean place with plenty of seating. It looked new. It was nice to see some of their cakes in the window but the selection was limited. There was seating available without a time limit. Service: 4/5 - you choose your seat and a server comes over to take your order. You pay when you leave. Note: they only accept credit card payments over $20 otherwise it's cash. Luckily a friend paid on my behalf. Parking: paid parking is available out front.
