K's Cutting Edge Salon - Cute, layered, frame face haircut. - Hair Salons Near Me - Kyle, Texas

This salon has NEVER failed me! They work with my timing and always try to fit me in even when I'm scheduling me last minute. The stylists and staff clearly LOVE what they do and always make the space lively, fun, and enjoyable. I've gotten cuts, color, and styles from here and I always leave overjoyed and my wallet leaves not hurting. Brittany is my girl and I absolutely adore her and being in her chair! She always works so hard to give me what I'm asking for and never hesitates to ask others for their opinions to make sure I leave with something amazing! I literally refuse to move just because I love this salon so much. 10000000000/10 recommend, K's and Brittany break the scale. read more

I have held off for many years from going to a salon due to a horrible experience I had. I found this salon online. I needed my hair taken care of, so I took the chance. This was the absolute best choice for a salon. I met with Joselyn, and from the beginning, she walked me through everything. I have fragile, thin, and curly hair. She stated she was going to do a dry cut. I was so scared to have another disaster. When this was all said and done, I have NEVER seen so many curls in my hair. She cut my hair (dry, mind you) in the exact style I wanted. IT WAS THE BEST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Curly-haired girls looking for a hairstylist go to Joselyn, 10/10, A+. Thank you, Joselyn read more

Stevee was absolutely wonderful with my daughter, whom had taken a pair of scissors to her long hair a few days prior. She was patient, kind and explained everything that she was about to do before doing it, giving my daughter (and myself) the reassurance she needed. My daughter walked out feeling like a "Goddess" (her words, not mine!) She blended her hair beautifully and gave her the perfect bangs to frame her face. We are both excited for her next appointment! read more

I told Kellee I was starting a new chapter of my life and I wanted to brighten up my hair by going blonder with more highlights. She definitely met my goal! I feel like I've been vacationing at the beach without worrying about the sun on my skin. I will be moving a little further away from the salon but I will continue to come back to see Kellee and her friendly staff. read more

This salon is incredibly easy to book with and the staff are all really friendly. Bella was my stylist twice now and done a phenomenal job of helping me figure out what would look best on my hair based on my inspiration, explaining the process what will be happening to my hair, and making sure I am comfortable and happy during and after. I'm especially happy about the fact that despite other stylists I've been to before, Bella was able to keep my curls intact, bouncy, and healthy, with no damage whatsoever. The salon is very cute and cozy, in a more comfortable setting than the average salon. Even the prices are very reasonable and affordable. I will continue coming here from now on! read more

I called to schedule an appointment. The receptionist told me that the hairstylist would text me asking for photos of my current hair and to also send what I want. I called the salon again hours later stating that I had not received a text and I wanted to make sure that I still had an appointment and that they had my phone number. The receptionist assured me I had an appointment and I would be contacted. I got the text and sent photos and waited for a response. 45 mins later after I was already driving to the appointment, the hair stylist said she could not give me the haircut I wanted (I completely understood and it was kind of her to tell me) but I was told I no longer had an appointment. I called the salon and they said unless you get a confirmation text and email from squarespace, you don't have an appointment. I was not told this when I initially scheduled the appointment. However, everyone I spoke to was very pleasant and kind, and I understand that miscommunication happens. I appreciate the salon reaching out to me. read more

I hate to have to write this, but I was misled by all the positive reviews on Yelp. Today I became fed up with my dry, dead ends and called in to K's to see if there was any availability. They were able to get me in the same day. I was about 10 minutes early for my appointment, so they seated me in a room with my stylist and the client she was working on. It was awkward to be sitting in the same room like that, but I digress. When it was my turn, I showed my hairstylist pictures on my phone of the style I would like and showed her with my hands how much length I wanted taken off. There seemed to be a language barrier because she asked me what part of my hair I wanted short, and in the picture I showed her, the hair was the same length all around, just with layers. I even showed her more pictures to clarify what I meant. So I'm sitting in her chair and it feels like she has cut too much off, but the way she has me angled in the chair, I can't see the mirror. The whole time she is cutting my hair, I never once saw the mirror. I'm in the chair for about 5 minutes when her next appointment shows up an hour early and sits in the room with us. Still awkward sitting directly across from your stylists next client. All in all, I gave the place two stars, one for getting me in on the same day and one because I think had there not been a language barrier, I might have left with the cut I asked for. I asked for a long, straight bob and what I got was a short, angled bob. It's too short to be fixed at this point. To make matters worse, the haircut cost me $40, and I really don't think it was worth $40 when I did not get what I asked for. I could have had the same haircut from a cheaper place, but I was willing to spend more to make sure I got what I wanted. Very disappointed. read more

After a bad hair experience many years ago I have been nervous about getting my hair done. I was fortunate to find a hairdresser I trusted and have followed her around Austin for the last 15 years. She retired in March and I have been lost. My hair was looking pretty rough and so I decided to try K's Cutting edge. The salon is darling and everyone was so welcoming. I had an appointment with Kellee. She did a fabulous job on my hair. I got highlights and lowlights and a cut and it looks fabulous and was priced just right.
