I also appreciate that he gave me a full credit for what I had spent on the class to be able to try them again with another class. I am very pleased with this solution, and can only add that I suggest they prioritize training their customer service team to be more solutions oriented in the future, and to avoid simply not responding to their customers. This solution is what I was hoping for the whole time, just had to wait two months to get it. ------------------------- This service is a joke. You are better off booking with the venue hosting the cooking classes directly. I had purchased this class as a Christmas present for my partner and I. I chose an "Exciting Spanish Meal" after reviewing all of the options available. CozyMeal confirmed details numerous times before the class. When we arrived, we weren't cooking the meal that I had booked, it was actually a French meal (all of the components I had already cooked myself numerous times so this wasn't much of a class for me). I let the chef know we had signed up for a different class and he said it must be a glitch with the CozyMeal system, as that venue had the French class booked that night for months prior. I contacted CozyMeal customer service the next day and they said they were escalating my issue, whatever that means. I was shuffled around between three different customer service members, all saying they were waiting for an update. I didn't hear back for two weeks so I inquired again if there were any updates, they said they were still waiting. I contacted twice more for follow up after that, one a week after, one three weeks after, and still to this day have not received another email or any communication or "updates" from CozyMeal. My class was January 12th and it is now March 27th and I have not received any further communication from them. These classes are not cheap, I spent $89 per person for a class I did not sign up for, that was of no value to me at all. That is why I said book with the venue directly instead of CozyMeal, at least you will have peace of mind of where your money is getting spent, and won't get ignored by customer service after spending $180 on a class you have no idea if you will actually get to take.

I had very brief encounters with him but his demeanor towards me seemed very rude. Asked him very simple questions but made me seem like I was asking him dumb questions. Second, the menu was not good. As someone who has been to a lot of Thai restaurants, this might have been for people who are not very familiar with authentic Thai food. I knew the class was over when the instructor told us to soak the rice paper into water for 30-45 seconds (I understand it was not warm water and we used tap water) Still, anyone who has actually has made spring rolls before knows that is way too long. Pad see ew was atrocious. Only used oyster sauce and tamari as sauces... don't really see the point of coming to a cooking class when your cabinet has better selection of spices/sauces. Chicken Khao Soi was decent. Paying 120 dollars for this class was a big mistake. I don't quite understand how they could charge this much knowing that the ingredients they used were fairly affordable. Honestly wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Allison was very sweet. The place was very cute. Only 2 positives.

One thing I didn't expect was its long 2.5 hrs. I wish they offered charcuterie or something that you can order to Nosh on. We made chocolate chip cookies first that we made spiders on. Next we made Royal Icing that was a bit tough to make and stiff. After we made cookie cut outs and baked. My only gripe is I wish they maybe did more of a soft icing and some toppings like sprinkles because the royal icing was hard to do any type of nice decoration on. Overall we left with a ton of cookies made and 2 big rolls of sugar cookie dough and chocolate chip cookie dough to Take home. I wish they offered more kids classes. I checked Nov and Dec and nothing showed.

My husband and I came here on a Saturday afternoon to grab some old fashioneds at the bar - we were the only patrons there so service was very quick. Chatted a bunch with the bartender who was very personable. Our drinks were perfectly made and overall, we had a really lovely time. The space was well designed, open and had a nice feel. The water was fruit infused which was a nice touch. As mentioned, we'll absolutely be coming back for a cooking class, but probably for another drink, too!

Two people per station they prep all the ingredients and it's really beginner friendly without any culinary background. Cook St is really brave on the variety of options on world cuisines. Check their calendar they offer French, Mediterranean, Asian, knife skills, and professional programs. My favorite recipe was the 'Khao Soi' a Chin Haw dish influenced by Yunnan Chinese. You can find it at northern Thai restaurants they sell it off menu, it tastes similar to a 'Tom Kha' soup. I'm already looking at the calendar for the next class. Who knew Sur la Table offered cooking classes?!?!…read more This was a super fun experience and way less intimidating than I originally imagined. Very non cook friendly, haha. The class lasts about 2.5 hours and includes your meal, of course, at the end. I would have loved to enjoy our steak dinner with a glass of red wine, but this location (and maybe them all) don't have a liquor license, so this was a miss for me. But, that said, I do get why the lot would forgo the license. There was some cooking magic, which speeds things up and helps bypass some of the tedious parts of some recipes. If you're wanting to cook everything from beginning to end, this may not be your best option. But, if you're wanting to get a real sense of how to cook / bake differ t things with a fun atmosphere to boot, this is for you!

Someone else who was waiting let us know that they don't open the doors till 10. Once they did open, we spent 15 minutes browsing the retail area waiting for the class to start. Once we got inside the classroom, we were directed to the coat rack and then to the sink to wash up and put on our aprons. Chef Laurie was our instructor and she did a great job of demonstrating and helping everyone. It was a full class of 16 and when I mentioned to her that I felt we were being rushed, she let me know that it's much better with less students. I really feel like they should cap the class at a smaller number to ensure everyone feels they aren't so rushed. We worked in groups of 4 so my daughter and I were paired with another couple - who we really clicked with. All of our ingredients were pre-measured on trays for each of the 3 pastries that we made. We made our Bomboloni dough but didn't use it because it takes too long to rise so we used pre-made dough and Laurie would use the dough we made for something else. Working in a group of 4 actually helped us finish everything more quickly because while someone was doing one thing, the others were doing something else. I did feel like I didn't get to do much though - I would have liked to actually do all the steps. Then we made our Tiramisu and it was taken away to be refrigerated. Laurie had a helper who did all the washing up of our bowls, tools, and mixer pieces so they were ready for the next item, and that was a big help. Next we made our cannoli shells and while those were frying, we made the filling. Then we cut out our Bomboloni dough and fried and filled that. The pastries came out pretty good but because we were so rushed we weren't able to make an even number to split between the groups. The class ended before noon which seemed very short. I enjoyed the class but I think this could have been a much better experience if they had actually given us the 120 minutes or capped the class at less people.
