We LOVE Krystal Cafe! The food is good and simple diner food---filling and tasty, just the right amount. The service is just incredible. Kelly is the owner, hostess, and main waitress, and I just don't know how she does it all....and SUPER well, too. She's sweet, fast, and always has your coffee cup filled. Personally I love the ambiance of the place. It helps that her political views match ours, and her signs on the outside window are funny. Inside, it's VERY cozy; the people are wonderful; and there's an air of acceptance for all. No politics are discussed. If you're a closed-minded left-winger, you may not be able to get over the window decorations...but that's your problem and loss. read more

We are headed there 8/7-8/11 and this is the only place that we frequent for breakfast (except for Sunday when she takes her well deserved day off). OMG, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE. Open from 5am till 2pm. I haven't been there to try the lunch menu yet. But have been there several times for breakfast. And have never been disappointed. Kelly the owner is just one awesome lady. She does all the waitressing for the whole place and is just on top of it. She treats everyone like she has known you forever. I absolutely love her attitude, personally and politically, for which she is open and unapologetic about; which is another reason I love this place. read more

Fantastic service, fantastic food. The owner is also a proud patriot that loves this country and what it's supposed to stand for, which is a plus. The waitress recommended that I try the cooked roast beef and onions sandwich (it had a name, I forget what she called it) and it hit the spot. Nice place. Good cheeseburgers. Good service one time I was there, second time the waitress was stressed and yelled at people.

Prison-quality food. But what is worse is the customer service; she yells across the restaurant, and not in a fun 1950s diner way, she seems completely put out if you request anything. She expects you to like whatever she throws down. We asked for cream and she literally glared at us, that was our first and our last request. We dined at three other places while staying in Orofino and would recommend any of those before here. read more

I thought since they just did breakfast and lunch the breakfast food would be outstanding but I was wrong. I asked for a large orange juice and I got a little bottle of Tropicana OJ, so much for being thirsty. The western omelet I ordered was ok bit I don't believe it was 3 eggs. the hash browns were cut perfectly into a small oblong shape which seemed odd to me. I did not get the wow factor from this place so I will pass on Krystal's next time I'm in town. read more
