The Krupp Team did a wonderful job - all the way from the estimate process through the clean-up of their materials at the end of the move. I would highly recommend them to anyone making a small or major move! We had a couple of specialty items that Krupp does not typically handle, but they made all of the arrangements for those two items to be moved by local professionals who do specialize in those items. DO NOT USE KRUPP MOVING. Using this company was the worst financial decision we have ever made. First off, they no-showed on our moving day after calling the night before to confirm everything. They then showed up 2 hours late to the rescheduled moving date the next day, which was our last day of possession. During the move broke my nicest TV, gashed our Kitchen table, and marked up our nice living room furniture, all while putting 2 holes in our walls in the new house. They then sent a claims person to the house to assess damage, and after being told we would get the TV and table replaced and the couches professionally cleaned, they came up with a claim of $168 along with an NDA. The workers were smoking weed on the job around our newborn and they used profane language the entire day around my wife. They only brought one dolly, and "forgot" their packaging tape and toolbox, so they used my tools and tape for our move, but still charged us for the extra hours needed to make the move. Probably 50% of the boxes were in the wrong location in the house, with a stack of 6 upstairs master bedroom and master closet boxes in the basement. Our patio furniture was scattered in the grass in the back yard, and several boxes labelled "fragile" with arrows pointing to the top of the box were upside down or laying on their side. The company is standing firm on their $168 claim offer and invited me to write all the reviews I want and to share my experience. They stole $680 dollars off of a credit card that they had on file! They are straight up thieves!! There was never an authorization to use this card. The amount that I owed them was being disputed at the time, and they illegally used a credit card on file to make this charge. That is a felony. read more

Hunter, Mark, Devonte, and Ryan all worked hard and made sure to keep our house clean. They were very kind and professional. I want to say a few good things I liked about Krupps. They showed up 930 and tried to bill me for 830. I understand maybe breakfast stops are expensive. No problem. I paid for 4 people but one couldn't make it for another hour. Traffic is bad. The holes they knocked in walls and ceiling light knocked out needed replacement anyway. Gives me a chance to hire someone needing a job. I like that. The house wood floors I moved into just needs a slight 20,000 dollar replacement says contractor. Sounds good. I'm glad those bed rails was dropped. And that pesty dolly scratches are good also. Did I forget the wall holes there also. More too like. Let's not forget quote was half what it cost. Maybe it was because of those breaks every trip to truck. People do get tired fast. I understand. They used a 26 ft truck, the same size movers moved same furniture before but the same amount of furniture wouldn't fit on their truck. Are 26 ft trucks shorter now. But no problem I just got to hire another mover to move items. He did unpack and take his blankets. I liked paying twice. At least I got to unpack a lot of my furniture that was left with blankets still on. No problem their office says I can pay for the blankets. Keeps getting better. And of course the contract. All that fine print I was told I didn't read. All those phone logs they sent me saying I didn't give them 24 hour notice. I did finally unpack my magnifying glass and that was good. I did go buy larger reading glasses I obviously needed. At finally I appreciate the NO calls from company owners seeing if all was good. Don't you just hate spam calls. DO NOT USE. I recently used this company and was extremely disappointed. They were 2 hours late to the appointment. They went to the wrong location, they are also very unprofessional. For the inconvenience I was offered 50 percent off of the move, when we got to the end, i was informed they can only do 10 percent off and not anything bigger. I then talked to the boss named "Billy" Billy was very rude on the phone and informed me the most he can do is 10 percent. You guys really shouldn't misrepresent your company and offer things you can complete. If I were you I would never use this company. Find another moving company and don't use this one. I tried to send an email to the company and I kept getting a delivery failure message in return. I don't know where to start. I booked with them due to both a personal recommendation and Google reviews-they weren't the lowest quote I received. I was given an hourly estimate so I was anxious to get it going and was well prepared. The crew of 3 showed up about 50 mins later than I was told. I had to load from my house and a storage shed. My son and I had cleared out everything except a few pieces of furniture. The guys were chatting in the back of the truck, and kept using my bathroom over and over. When we were loaded up and ready to go to the storage shed, the crew leader asked me to unlock the house to use the bathroom one more time. I did, and when I went back in to lock back up that's when I smelled it-they were using weed while on duty and driving a vehicle. I know it's now legal in Ohio but I don't want movers under the influence and on my dime none the less. It got so much worse as the day went on. They intentionally left 5 pallets in my storage shed that I had to make a 2 hr 45 min drive back to load and dump, they punctured a hole in my Simmons mattress and broke a drawer on my oak desk. They said they couldn't get my sectional sofa up the stairs although my landlord had a baby grand piano up there previously so now my sofa is sitting in my garage (they placed it fabric side on the ground.) I have to hire additional help to move it upstairs. I spent the entire move relocating boxes marked for basement that they placed upstairs and kitchen boxes downstairs for example. They placed several pieces in the wrong rooms and scratched my landlords flooring that they just had refinished. This was the most careless and reckless moving crew I have ever used. My friend that referred Krupp was absolutely floored as she's used them twice with no issues. It was clear these guys don't care about anything except getting wasted. It could have been much worse had they crashed or hurt someone. PLEASE, please do not hire Krupp moving for your move-you will be so sorry!! read more

I should have known..... After a lot of follow-up in the "sales" process, once contracts were signed, Krupps was difficult to get hold of, there were no direct contacts and calls would be forwarded, until messages would be left and follow up was usually required to get questions answered. The move began with a brief flurry of activity, but the packing crew left early, and left with things incomplete - drawers half packed, etc. Was surprised by how little was being done ahead of loading, but was given assurances all would get done. Because of the poor organization in packing, the loading crew was over-burdened and packing became a disorganized mess - things were stuffed everywhere. The crew was frustrated and agitated and late. At the new house they turfed the lawn drove the truck into a curb - damaging a tire and abandoning the truck overnight. Many things were scratched and damaged. And they presented a bill for about 1.5 times the original estimate - expecting to be paid for all of their inefficiencies and mismanagement of the move. And insurance - an impossible hurdle to ever expect a payout for any of the resultant damage. Move as fast as you can in another direction. . read more

One of the movers damaged the drywall in our stairwell and dented both my washer and my dryer. I was surprised to see their dollies were not wrapped and they did not use straps to secure our furniture. When I notified the crew leader of the damage to the stairwell and appliances, he said he would notify his boss of the damage. However, after waiting three days and not hearing from the company, I called to file a complaint. I was told that the Columbus manager would have to handle the claim and that the main office (Northeast Ohio) could not do so. Well, it has been two weeks and still no contact from the Columbus office. There were a couple of other minor issues but the lack of response from management is by far the most disappointing. krupp is the worst moving company that I have ever hired. Multiple damages and careless workers, from the owner to the workers as well as their ancillary staff. They said everything right to get the contract and then that's when it all went downhill. They promised to wrap all of our furniture and provide a box for our TV for our long distance out of state move, however on the moving day they did not provide any of the services after we gave the deposit. This was a long distance move from Ohio to Florida. Multiple pieces of expensive furniture and other items were damaged, and we are still currently dealing with the insurance company through them. They also damage the wall of our expensive home. They even try to upsell us on moving blankets midway through the move. When they arrived to Florida the owner was very clear that he demanded full payment before finishing the move. At the end of the move, they were supposed to move certain things to a storage unit and certain things into an apartment however the owner decided that he was done for the day at around 2 PM and I had to move heavy coffee tables and boxes by my own transportation in the rain later on that evening, after a long days work. This move by the way cost me about $10,000. I would never recommend this company to anyone. Be very careful with the Google reviews. Its very obvious that companies like these hire people to post positive reviews, however scroll to the negative reviews as well as yelp and you will see how bad of a company this is. AVOID read more

Worst movers ever. Scratched walls carrying furniture downstairs. Never covered furniture so we had broken glass in hutch, and scratched desk tops. Explained to guy that we had a steep driveway and needed two 24' trucks. He sent a 24 and 26' truck that could not make it up driveway. They wouldn't send trucks next day as scheduled so we had to rent a Uhaul and move ourselves. Worst part was 1,000 in cash was missing after the move. Two door frames scratched up and wooden stairs gouged at the old house. we were shocked upon opening our boxes at the new house at how poorly things were packed. A lot of broken items due to improper packing. We found two broken items hidden in our trash can. A box of tools we purchased for our son for a Christmas gift that was new in the box was empty when we removed it from the box they packed. Two pieces of furniture were scratched in the move. Going through the damage claim is a nightmare with a rude lady who keeps asking for things to be sent differently and never accepts it although you do exactly what she asks. I was told not to call or email because I have to wait 6 months for her to process my claim. I just want to fix or replace all the things they damaged......I should mention that we put in $1600 claim because of how poorly we were packed!!! Movers damaged and mishandled our items during move. Extremely careless and unprofessional. Overheard workers taking about being hungover from the night before, during one of their many breaks. Found that we had multiple items damaged, including large dent in fridge, expensive dryer making noise and not working correctly. Worst of all, hand-made furniture that was gouged by movers who set items on concrete. Witnessed boxes dropped on road and personal items laying in driveway. Stacked heaving boxed on light boxes, smashing the contents. Most boxes were upside down. Found management to be unresponsive and unconcerned to damage claim. Had to call multiple times to get a response. Out of state claim adjuster grossly under-estimated value of damaged items then used stall and frustration tactics in hopes we would drop or settle low. We even purchased the extra insurance, which apparently does nothing except give them more reasons to not make things right. Also pulled out the legal jargon instead of doing the right thing and correcting their mistakes. Put all that on top of the hefty bill that we paid four movers to take their sweet time all day because they had too much to drink the night before. Stay away from this company if you value your belongings. Incredibly disappointed and let down. read more

Krupp Moving & Storage was our worst nightmare. So many of our belongings were damaged, we gave up recording our losses. Thinking of using Krupp? Don't; I highly recommend finding an alternative moving company. I never leave poor reviews, but I feel that other prospective clients need to be aware of the lack of communication and customer service on Krupp's end, resulting in expenses above and beyond the given quote and an extremely unhappy client. I'll preface by saying that I started getting estimates two months before my move. I spoke with several different moving companies, as well as several different Krupp employees- who earned my trust, so I scheduled my move with them. Horrible decision. Upon the movers arriving, I was informed that they would be unable to move my treadmill unless I took it apart myself, that there would be a 3% service fee for using a credit card, and that they would be unable to move my gas dryer because "they don't touch the gas." I ended up having to disassemble my treadmill, go to the bank to withdraw cash to avoid the fee, and disconnect my gas line from my dryer. Moving is stressful enough, let alone having to do some of the work yourself when you paid someone else to do it. I received no written or oral communication regarding needing to disassemble my treadmill or needing to buy a cap for my gas line. Not to mention, that should have been communicated beforehand so that I could have purchased it and been prepared, not had it sprung on me in move day (Apparently, this is a frequent occurrence from what the movers told me). So it comes to the final bill- I was quoted an estimate of $575 to $625. I understand it was a ballpark price; however, I paid $700- nowhere near the amount I was quoted. I was also not made aware of the fact that there are service charges, including fueling fees and hourly rates based upon the number of movers. I was charged $110 an hour for a two-person crew when the website clearly states $89 for a two-person team. Krupp moving needs to either have some form of written or oral communication to ensure all pertinent information is provided to the client. They also need to make sure their employees express all relevant information to the customer. I was never offered a contract, or outline (written nor verbal) of "what to expect" or expenses I would incur until moving day... that is unacceptable and extremely unprofessional. Not to mention-- the movers broke my couch leg and dinged up my headboard, even after asking the employee on the phone a week before, if I needed to wrap my furniture for protection, and she replied, "no." The entire situation put a terrible taste in my mouth; I will never do business with Krupp again. I will be sure to express my dissatisfaction with my realtor so that she can advise other sellers/buyers to use a different moving company. read more

We had a horrible experience with Krupp moving. They sent inexperienced movers. They had surveyed our house previously but then showed up on moving day with a truck that was too small. Our furniture was not wrapped appropriately. They charged us for the supplies to wrap furniture and then never used it. They did not wrap the mattresses which resulted in all the mattresses arriving filthy. We had to take 2 televisions in our own vehicle because the movers were concerned about damaging them since they did not adequately assess the size of truck needed and there was not enough room. Upon arrival, the lead mover even told us how appalled he was by the lack of appropriate packing. He said that they did not pack the truck in preparation for an interstate move. He said that the mover had never led a group of movers before and clearly did not have the ability to manage the team. He spoke with the owner of the company expressing his concerns about how the truck was packed and the extensive damage to our items. The picture of the truck clearly shows that items were simply thrown in the truck and not carefully stacked to prevent movement and damage. They did not put down runners in the house and did not wrap banisters. Once we noticed that they were damaging our floors, we asked them to put down padding. Every piece of furniture that we own now has damage. We have previously moved cross country before and did not have any damage to any of our furniture. I had a curio cabinet from my grandmother that is completely destroyed. Sentimental items are impossible to replace, but it was the complete lack of care and regard that is the most upsetting. And it has now been 6 months and they have not even arranged for repair despite all of my efforts to contact them. We have spoken to the owner who was unwilling to compensate us in any way. I would not recommend that you use this company. I like to support local businesses which is part of why we chose Krupp but we should have chosen a different company. read more

Matt and Markus moved us from Wooster to Cape May, NJ on June 29-30, 2017. It just couldn't have gone more smoothly! Specifically, they arrived on time, had our Wooster home loaded in a couple of hours (a lot faster than I thought it would take), and drove 9 hours to our NJ home. As is unavoidable, they got caught in Philadelphia traffic and construction delays but called me to let me know they were running late and gave me an accurate ETA. When they arrived, they listened carefully to where things should be placed and efficiently and carefully moved everything in. They put together our bed and table and neatly stacked boxes in our garage, as requested, even leaving aisles so that everything was accessible. In short, they did a perfect job. Nothing was broken. I couldn't have been happier. And the price was exactly as Tim estimated in advance - no hidden or added cost. I recommend this group 100%. I would absolutely use them again. read more

Our family was making a big move to another state and when looking for a moving company we wanted someone to pack our house, move us and then unpack. We have three kids and two dogs so we were really wanting to not do much with the packing and unpacking. On the first day, which was packing everything was okay, but loading day was not good (lack of help, not having enough space for our stuff and therefore stuff that needed to be on the truck) and the experience from there on was not a good one. Packing was poorly done and sloppy. Boxes were not marked with what was in them, they were short staffed and took A LOT longer than planned when loading and unloading. We had to help them pack because it was taking so long and unpacking, that was another issue. They sent TWO guys to unpack a 3-4 bedroom house, took almost 10 hours. We were also under the impression they were to help unpack and once everything was off the truck their boss told them to leave. While moving two of our largest Televisions were broken and one of the main moving moving told us that someone would be out the next day to cut us a check for the cost of the TV's and that their boss was sending people to help us unpack the next day, later we were informed all of that was false information. When unpacking we asked the guys to move all the heavy stuff into our home and leave the lighter stuff in the garage, I just had surgery and couldn't help my husband with the heavy stuff. They did the exact opposite and now all of our heavy stuff is in the garage and we have no way to get it inside because it's just my husband. I mentioned I had just had surgery and on packing day I left my pain medication on the bathroom counter next to my toothbrush which I asked them not to touch, that night I couldn't find my medication and I mentioned it to the "head mover" and he said during unloading/ unpacking he would go through every box and find it, (funny because they weren't supposed to unpack according to them). I just had surgery I was in need of my medication and after unpacking i still have not found my medication and I cannot get anymore because what they prescribed i should still have some. We are left with two broken tv's, all of our furniture in our garage and i do not have my pain medication that I need for post op pain. We have tried to talk with th the owner and he keeps saying they can't do anything and really seems not to care. If doing a big move I would most definitely look elsewhere, this has been the worst moving experience, hands down. read more

Worst move I have ever experienced. If I could give negative stars I would. First, they were an hour late and then were 2 hours longer than expected. They dismantled a computer desk and could not figure out how to put it back together so I now have the upper portion on my guest bed and cannot move it (so I cannot make the bed let alone use it). They managed to lose the remote control to my adjustable base bed that was actually IN a nightstand drawer, but even if I had it that wouldn't help because they left the power cord at my old house and pushed the bed up so close to the wall that I can't move it. Both of my nightstands are plug-ins but only one has a cord now. My lamps and a lot of my prints were pushed into closets and the doors shut at the old place so they didn't have to move them. A very nice silk tree at my former place was left outside the front door. Thankfully it didn't rain/snow/or was stolen. Many boxes CLEARLY labeled in wrong rooms/wrong floors or left in the garage including wardrobe boxes clearly marked Master Bedroom. They even had the audacity of asking ME to take my big screen TV in MY car! They are not responding but boy did the money clear my account quickly! HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Following the post of my review, Tim reached out to me right away in order to personally speak with me about my mom's bad moving experience. We were able to have a very transparent conversation about the communication gaps on both sides leading to the lack of clear expectations and misunderstanding. He also provided me with solid information regarding the fee structure and what the additional $1,000 covered. Tim was willing to listen to my feedback and did put some of the onus back on his team for not completing the job that day. I offered him the opportunity to tell me what he felt would rectify the situation, and he offered us a fair refund. In June 2022, my wife and I moved from Cleveland, OH to St. Louis, MO. We thought Krupp Moving & Storage being family owned and operated was the correct choice for us. We were not strangers in moving, as this was our 5th relocation with professional movers. It was understood that we would have to go into storage for one week, therefore our personal property was handled several times and the damage was and is still a nightmare. Their trucks that picked up our personal belongings were in terrible condition, old rusty, and wore out. Not a very good first impression and I should have stopped them there. When they delivered our personal belongings they were short handed 2 men and a driver. Therefore unloading could not be completed in one day as promised. After 13 hours of trying to unload our personal belongings they quit and stacked the remaining items in our 2 car garage. It took me calling and calling to get them out there on the following Saturday to complete the move. Again short handed I ended up helping, hurting my back, leg and arm. The move finally got completed 5 days later on Saturday June 18, 2022. We estimate our damage at $27,000, they broke a stone table, smashed our velour furniture, scratched every piece of our cherry office desk, credenza, etc. As of today they have not address our damage claim. They won't return phone calls or emails. We paid extra for insurance for full replacement coverage . I would give zero star if that was an option. read more

Our point of contact was Jon Krupp, and he did a quick, efficient estimate and then ended up being part of the moving team that came on the day of the move. We had a three-member team--Jon, Jared, and Brian A.--and all of them were careful, respectful, quick, and thorough. They started by asking which of the items in the house were the most fragile, and then they packed those items first and took extra care in packing them. At no point was I at all concerned for our furniture or other items; I also wasn't concerned about the house (walls, floors, etc.) as they took great care in moving everything out. They're storing our stuff for us while we look for a house in our next city, and they have made the process as simple and smooth as possible. We had a very poor experience with Krupp moving unfortunately. The crew was 3 hours late putting us behind schedule for an out of state move. I was told when I scheduled the Uhaul load that if we provided the blankets and padding, Krupp movers would pad and plastic wrap furniture after loading to protect it in the moving truck. The crew told me they did not bring any supplies and would not do this. Several pieces of our expensive and antique furniture was damaged in the truck. They also badly damaged a stairnose, two door casings, walls and scuffed and scratched floors moving furniture. We had sold our home so I was up until 2am trying to repair the damage the movers had done as Mo told me they do not repair damage their movers do to a homeowners home. They also left before the two hours were up, before our fridge was loaded and when we still had items needing loaded telling me that because the items weren't on the inventory list, they wouldn't move them. When my move was scheduled, I wasn't told I had to list enough items to fill two hours or I would have done this because we needed two hours of help and that is what I paid for but did not get. Extremely dissatisfied- especially now that I have seen what a professional moving company should be like on our arrival end. Swamp Rabbit Moving arrived on time, stayed until the job was done as part of their quote, and did not add to the damage on a single piece of furniture nor damage our new home in any way. They were also respectful, polite, and very professional. We'll be using them again if needed. read more

Krupp helped us move from Wooster to Medina. The day of the move it was snowing very heavy. I didn't think the move would be able to happen but they assured me they would come out later that morning to get the job done. Two young men showed up & were very pleasant & very helpful. They went right to work & got the job done without any damage to furniture or walls.
