The customer service has always been good tho. They just have a lot of employees who don't care or aren't paying attention. They have always made things right but I as a handicapped person have been exhausted having to go back and forth to the store because they can't use common sense. I love having a grocery store so close to me I can walk or bike. But I can't do the Kroger thing anymore. The produce section is often understocked. Milk products are hard to find. But the worst part of the experience is the self serve checkout which often has less half the machines working at one time. I realize there is more competition in the area (Publix, Lidl, Aldi, Fresh Market, TJ, etc) but if Kroger isn't going to try to win on price or the in store experience, then there is no reason for me to keep coming, despite being the most convenient location. read more

No way to eat lunch here, even though they have a sit-down area. No utensils, no napkins, no microwave. I ended up eating cold meatloaf with my fingers. The Starbucks inside also has no food. This store is good for groceries, but eat somewhere else first. read more

Wow, I was surprised to see such a low rating here! I guess if you don't have a lot of reviews that can happen though, huh? This is our go to Kroger. The parking lot is very inconvenient, but most of the time it's not overly crowded and has what we need. It seems to be a decently popular one, as there have been several run ins where the whole produce section is picked over. Layouts a little awkward, but overall it gets the job done and checks the mark for your grocery store. I've seen a few employees not wearing masks at times but just by the grocery carts/outside and never near food or anything. read more

The deli department is amazing. I love their program where they take my order and I can finish my shopping. It helps me in the long run from having to wait. My only problem is one employee in Starbucks and in bakery. I tend to avoid getting anything from those departments when I see them. This is one of my favorite stores to shop at. read more

The delicatessen department is terrible. Rude and slow. I'm sure everyone reading this can attest. We've complained before but nothing changes. Someone said that it's a separate entity from Kroger and their management doesn't control. Not sure if that's true but something has to change. Do not use clicklist here. They constantly put the wrong stuff in my order. Today I was supposed to pick up my groceries between 5pm and 6pm. They called me at 4:40 to tell me my groceries wouldn't be ready until after 6pm. I got to Kroger a little after 6pm and there were no clicklist parking spots. I finally got a parking spot 20 minutes later and didn't get my groceries until 6:40. Of course they were out of half of the things I ordered. They told me they would deduct the clicklist charge due to it not being ready when scheduled but they never took it off. There is a problem of some kind every time I come here. This is my go to grocery store because it's next to my kids school. Unfortunately every single week I get home and realize that an item that was tagged on sale did not ring up at the sale price. It wouldn't be a big deal every once in awhile, but I'm a mom on a budget and it happens literally every single week. Why are there never enough registers open? Even baggers would help move things along.

A chain grocery store that I normally do my groceries at and I just wanted to make a review about this particular store because I was really unsatisfied with its status compared to the other Kroger's I've been to. First, stockage of products is poor in my opinion. If you walk through the aisles, you'd see a lot of empty spaces where products have yet to be stocked. I've been to this location three times before I decided to post my review to make sure I wasn't wrong or maybe I was there just at a bad timing, but a lot of products seem to be out of stock often. Second, the nuts & seed dispenser seems to be hardly kept in check. Labels are out often, most times I would just fill my bag and memorize the code to give to the cashier. Third, just like Walmart, this place has a lot of check out stations, but only 3-4 would be open at most even when there's a lot of customers. I personally don't find that efficient and no one really likes to wait in a long line. Everything else seems to be fine. Parking was never an issue & cleanliness seemed better than the average super market. read more

Lobster tails were mushy like mashed potato. I called and explained to the meat department what we encountered.They sent me to customer service who kept me on hold for over 10 mins after I explained to them. Now, Casey the "assistant manager" gets on the phone and is straight up ghetto yelling in my ear from the moment I said hello, no apologies, coming at me hard like I'm lying asking me to bring them back! They were thrown away at the 4th of July cookout! Who keeps rancid seafood to carry back to the store after you've prepped and cooked for 8 people?? You apologize to.your guests and throw it away. She acted like i was crazy because I cooked them all! Most unprofessional encounter I've had in a very long time. Thankfully Publix will be opening soon and I can take my money elsewhere. read more

Parked by lot is very congested all the time. This location seems to have associates that don't like people! Very unfriendly staff, which comes from management. The managers in this store will walk past you without saying anything. Customer service desk only staffs it with the rudest. Always empty shelves as well. read more

The only positive thing about the Belgrade Kroger location is that it's convenient. I've been treated rudely by the deli staff for the last time. Actually this is one of my favorite Kroger stores since they remodeled. The remodel is similar to the larger marketplace versions without he toys and furniture etc. I chose this as my weekly Grocery store above other Kroger and martins locations nearby. read more

I love this Kroger! The staff is super nice, and always ask if I need help, or how I'm doing. I recently couldn't find tahini - a kind gentleman helped me find it and even though he didn't know where exactly it was, he still walked with me through all the suspected aisles until we found it. One opportunity for improvement: seems like this store can run low on produce on busy days which is really just a grocery store standard issue, but other than that, store is clean, bright, and employees are so friendly. I've complained about the foul mouth stockman before. I really didn't hear much bad language a month or two after complaining. Now it's foul mouths as usual. Most of the employees are so rude it's amazing. The clientele is not any better. While attempting to shop at least 3-4 times you will be forced to step aside so that employees refusing to walk around customers may pass. For all the northern folks who have moved here this type of behavior from employees of a business is completely unacceptable so that you know. Try Wegman's or Publix if you are interested in what good service is all about. read more

We love Kroger, and have a healthy lunch at one of the Krogers every day, as our route permits. The Huguenot store is a little unique in that customer satisfaction doesn't seem to be a priority. Unlike every other store in the Richmond area, they won't let you purchase your salad at the Starbucks, which is right beside the salad bar. The salad bar was really late in getting set up. It just doesn't seem to be a very well managed facility. read more

When Martins shut down, this Kroger became overcrowded and grossly under-stocked. At the same time, they decided to convert a big chunk of parking space for selling gasoline. Parking can be impossible at peek times. If you want to buy name brand groceries you like, good luck. As an example, I have tried to buy Hunts brand canned tomato products. Hunts items are scarcely stocked and spread out to frustrate the shopper. Meanwhile Kroger brands are displayed prominently. Steamfresh vegetable selections have similarly been cut back in favor of house brands, and on and on. The reward for hunting through the confusing aisles in search of food is to arrive at long checkout lines. I try to shop at the Midlothian Turnpike Kroger when I can because it is much better stocked, but still crams house brands down your throat. I'm planning to shift to Food Lion and Wegmans, and REALLY wish Ukrops would come back! read more

This is specific to the meat department. I usually go there in the mornings and they have the most grumpiest person working there. He is lazy, sees you standing there and ignores you. This is more of a review of the pharmacy at this store. I've never really felt one way or another about a pharmacy - just have the doc call i nthe script and go pick it up... never pay much attention - but the people at this pharmacy are just beyond outstanding! They remember me when I come, the seem like the geuinely care about me and my family. They want to make sure that I know about the meds I'm getting - they go out of their way to help me if for some reason they don't have what I need. THEY ARE AWSOME! read more

The saga of Richmond's worst Kroger continues. This time Erica at customer service accused me of excessive returns and saying we don't have a policy of "trial and error". Granted, I did not get a receipt, I rarely do especially when self checkout allows you to decline a receipt and since I use my Kroger card, I can find all my purchases on the app. The Kroger page online doesn't explicitly say you need a receipt for a return but I'll go along and take a gift card for a return of your store brand item. As far as the accusation of excessive returns, feel free to look at my Kroger card to see how many returns I have done, 1 total, this one. The Kroger brand laundry detergent doesn't work in my machine when Tide and all the others do. I cited the quality guarantee on the bottle and said I'm fine with a gift card to make my final Kroger purchase. She needs some remedial training to not be accusatory of people with legitimate returns. I get not accepting a return when something is empty, passed expiration etc. But when I barely used something and did make a valiant effort for the product to work, give me the benefit of the doubt and don't treat me like a shoplifter. read more

This location is apparently under construction. Some of the areas that appear to be complete are awkwardly laid out and have narrow aisles for shoppers to navigate. The selection of foods seem to be similar to the other Kroger locations I have shopped. Some of the patrons seems a bit pretentious and a few of the employees seemed to lack knowledge about the store and where things were located. I happened to try this location because I had stopped at the shopping center to visit another store. I prefer to continue soliciting the Hicks Road location I have visited regularly for the past year. read more

I will say that I typically go to Kroger... one of their two stores on each end of my neighborhood. This one, however, is undergoing a huge transformation right now. If you can get over the dust on some of the aisles of food, and the hunt for what you are looking for sounds fun for the sake of your extra gas rewards points, you are probably good to go. If you are looking for the quick stop-in and out that we used to have before it was expanded you might need to prepare yourself for change. I will say the staff is always great. And I appreciate the new sit down cafe area with free WIFI. But my real challenge is the new layout and their handling of the Nature Foods section. I used to able to rely on all the aisles of Natural Foods in the same section of the store. Now my wholefood choices are spread out all over the place and I find it disappointing. Aside from it not being convenient, I think putting natural/organic foods options next to the ones that shouldn't be allowed to be on the shelves at all is terrible and ruins my shopping experience. read more

Shelves are empty (what, no seasoned bread crumbs, Goya black beans, low salt soy sauce--empty spaces for all and then some). This day was Thursday. The deli staff, loquacious and polite, are slow mo specialists as are the few laboring on the checkout. A most frustrating and no longer repeatable experience. I have been a faithful customer of this pharmacy since the Kroger store first opened at this location about 20 years ago. In the past, not only have the pharmacists, but also the other staff members, treated me with courtesy and professionalism. The previous staff employees use to remember me by name and notify me promptly if there was a problem filling my prescription. Over the past year, there has been a significant decrease in service and professionalism! I never wait until I am out of my prescriptions before reordering, but rather give the pharmacy 3-7 day notice. About a year ago, I called and left a message for a prescription refill, but never received a follow call from them. When I had a 1-day supply left, I recontacted Kroger pharmacy only to learn that they didn't fill the prescription. They said that the doctor's office failed to respond to their electronic request. They failed to notify me and alert me to the problem. I contacted my doctor's office and the problem was handled immediately. About a month ago, I ordered a Probiotic for IBS, that can only be ordered through a Pharmacy although it is not a prescription. After a considerable wait in line, I was finally told by a staff member that they could order it; they had been ordering it for about 6 months and notifying me when it arrived. I was told it would take 3 days to fill. One week later when I was out of my prescription, I returned to ask why they didn't notify me. I was told, not only did they NOT have the medication, but that they don't notify customers if it isn't a prescriptions. After an unpleasant conversation, I left and called the pharmacist directly. She did not apologize, but said they would get it for me by the next day. Recently, I had an even more unpleasant experience with a different pharmacy staff member. On both occasions, and many more, the wait wasn't because there were people in line ahead of me; the wait was due to either indifference to the customer or short staffing. There has never been an apology for the wait. In fact, while I stood there for about 10 minutes, neither the pharmacist or staff member acknowledged my presence while they were both having jovial conversations on the phones. When I did receive service, despite holding greeting cards in my hand, the staff member completed the financial transaction for the prescription only. When asked to pay for the additional few items at the register, he gave me a condescending look and told me no. I asked if he had ever done this before, because I had never had a problem in the past; he told me I had more than two items. Keep in mind, there were NO customers behind me at the time! I told him it was the least he could do since he kept me waiting so long. His attitude and my response deteriorated further and he threw my items and left. The pharmacist came over and tried to make sense of what he had and had not rung up and completed my purchase. I transferred all my prescriptions to Rite Aid on Polo Parkway and have nothing but friendly and professional help in both the store and at the pharmacy! And yes, they recognize me and treat as a loyal customer. I have always had prompt and friendly service at Rite Aid, and my biggest regret is that I didn't transfer my business to them earlier.
