GIFT CARD SCAMS. This is my regular store and I like the products and people but they have a serious gift card scam going on there. Picked up a $100 amazon gift card and when my nephew opened it, middle section of claim code was scratched off. Went to Kroger, they knew about the scam and "were taking precautions to make sure it stops happening". But, they said it is an Amazon problem. Amazon said it is a Kroger problem and that the card was already redeemed when it was sold to me. In the end, Kroger knew they have an issue, but only the customer loses out so they didn't seem concerned. Two emails to corporate went unanswered. read more

Loosing a star for new fake bread counter. How can a bread counter be fake? You ask? Bread that is not fresh, often frozen, and transported from somewhere else. Feel the bread. The dense consistency and non crispy crust. I've given this feedback for four years. If you want fresh bread in the area Publix or, now, Costco. Love the new seasonal area. It's really opened out the right side of the store. Bakery. Loose some tables. You look like a house that inherited furniture from relatives and never threw any of it away. This is my closest food store. Some might say I have no choice but to shop here. Let's say, I drive farther, more and more often. read more

I will consistently search out Kroger's every place we go and this one is no exception to the rule when I visit my friends up in Marietta. We always swing through this Kroger, which is conveniently located on Dallas Highway to scoop up snacks and beer. Service wises we have never had an issue. I have never done a full round of shopping in this store, but on the several occasions I have stopped by the cashiers and floor staff seem to be friendly and helpful when needed. I live by the South Cobb Kroger and one thing that I will say is that this location does seem to be well stocked in comparison. There are a lot less empty shelfs and slots at this location, so I guess if I ever get in a pinch I could make the trek here to scoop up all my groceries. This Kroger also features the gas station, which is great as well as I only get my gas from Kroger spots now...even though I only save that 3 cents, it is still a savings! Overall, this is a solid Kroger that I have no issues with and will certainly be back to when needed! read more

Kroger at 3600 Dallas Highway continues to disappoint, Good produce is almost impossible to find. Went to their grand reopening today and the produce section was stocked TODAY. Horrible service at self check out. Asked 5 times for help. Two staff members overseeing the self check out were completely involved in a personal conversation. Used the check out with the conveyer belt. Employees standing around and no one stepped over to help bag my items. Only one employee asked if I needed help finding anything (girl sweeping the floor) with so much management around today and with it being a Grand Re-Opening you would have expected better customer service. Based on many months of shopping here I will not willingly return to this store. I will take my business elsewhere, even if I have to driver farther, like to Publix! read more

Can we get the correct price? This location seems to have a problem with having the correct price at the register. Several times I have gone in here and the prices on the shelf didn't match the prices at the register. One time, they tried to overcharge me my $14.00 on two items that were on special. Then, they didn't add up another item at all. After going back and forth several times on the prices and showing them a picture of the correct price, I walked out. read more

I ordered grocery pick up online and the process is pretty smooth. I did have to wait 10 minutes but other than that the person who brought out my groceries was pleasant and loaded my trunk with the groceries. Can definitely say grocery pick up in a huge convenience and for no extra fees. read more

This is one of the cleanest Kroger stores I have actually taken notice of in a long time. I guess because every thing seemed to sparkle. The floor shined; the glass shined...every thing! Maybe it was the lighting. The only thing that was a little annoying was the parking lot due to not that many shared spaces with all that's happening in nearby stores. Well, there was one more thing that kinda got on my nerves too...it was the organization of the food sections. You have a few refrigerated items near the bakery that were non bakery items, but then another area with more refrigerated items, but you had to go back to the first section of refrigerated items if you needed some vegan products, but then there was yet another section of refrigerated non dairy milk, but the non dairy yogurt was someplace else. What a cluster cluck! Since you manipulated my mind with this foolishness...Your score is one less than stellar award. read more

I think the Kroger stores are making a come back. I'd given up on Kroger for a long time. I decided to go inside of this one this weekend. Immediately I noticed the shiny floor and the well organized produce. Therefore, I proceeded to walk through the store. I didn't smell any bad odors and the poultry looked pretty good. I picked up some fresh salmon and I was on my way. The cashiers weren't especially friendly, but know one was rude. They just seemed focused on their job. read more

Wow! ...ever heard of the "WOW" factor? Well I have and Tues I experienced just that! Now I've just viewed some not so favorable reviews and cannot speak on anyone else's experiences but possibly this store has made vast improvements from those times? This was my first time in this location and immediately I noticed differences from other Kroger stores I frequent, specifically the Mableton location. Now that is my neighborhood store and I like it there but wish ours was like this Dallas location. For a brief moment I thought "I must be in Publix"? No pun intended..... As soon as I parked, stepped outta my truck and into the parking lot, I noticed the difference. I love those mini carts and this location had plenty neatly lined up both in and outside. The staff were very friendly and engaging, the store was immaculate, every thing was in its proper place, no trash anyway visible, the deli was neat, all staff were properly dressed neatly, they smiled and inquired if you needed help?!?!? This was GREAT! I thought, what is this, whats happening?!?!? So as I proceeded about the store ( I usually have a plan but this time only a unfinished list), so here I am aimlessly floating about the store when I happen upon Ron! Yes RON! He is the meat/seafood manager and this is the true WOW factor meat counter from HEAVEN! I was completely astonished! I stared, I glared and I purchased!!!! Ron was out there simply being humble and polite, doing his job, but to me, I had to start a conversation and so....... we did! I passed many compliments and took photos. How meticulous Ron is, every type of meat in its proper place, manicured, price stamped, I just wanted to pull up a gas range and start cooking! I truly was amazed, one would think I'd never been to a supermarket in my life....LOL. Oh but I've shopped many a store and many a Kroger but none like Dallas Hwy location! Stop in, see Ron, see Ron's meat counter arrangements, AND speak with the manager, he too was very nice and so was the young lady (pregnant:-) at the self checkout. I am sure they were delighted to hear the compliments I passed along and they were deserved. Sometimes folks still work hard and are proud as they should be and sometimes its nice when a patron or customer stops to note and speak out positively, it can go a long way to say something pleasant and mean it! I shop here still strictly for the convenience and price. I try to go when it's not busy due to an extremely rude bagging employee. My conscience has never allowed me to make a formal complaint regarding this employee because she seems to have special needs. Perhaps being rude and unkind is the manifestation of specific condition. I have seen her downright mean to several people on different visits. I'm shocked that management hasn't placed her in a more successful position within the store. Customers shouldn't have to be belittled or harassed like I've witnessed and been a part of. Will I continue to shop here, yes, however, I certainly dread it like the plague. read more

This is my second favorite Kroger here in Georgia. (My favorite one is the one on S Cobb Dr and Concord Rd.) This Kroger is further away but I stop here sometimes when I have to go to Kennesaw or The Avenues at West Cobb. It's very well laid out and the employees are super nice. Clean supermarket and the produce is always fresh compared to other Kroger supermarket I've shopped at. Some of the Manager Special's are spot on, I like those deals :) read more

No complaints. I shop here probably 3-4 times a week. Everyone is friendly and management is extra nice and helpful.

the store is very close to my house however I rarely go there because there are two other grocery stores that are much nicer that I would rather shop. this store is super old and needs a facelift desperately. All of the baskets are gross and crushed out and barely roll and the employees there are somewhat like zombies. I don't recommend going there at all if you can avoid it. read more

I go to this grocery store twice a week and we average $1,000 a month on groceries for our family. There are a few exceptional employees at this location but as a whole this store makes me depressed every time I go there. It kind of strange as a good customer and a person with a pleasant friendly personality the poor attitude of some of the associates IN PARTICULARLY TIM IN FROZEN FOODS has me leaving the store kind of feeling bad like I was done wrong... This is got to be the rudest most passive aggressive employee I have ever came across as a customer to store representative. Pretends to ignore me when I ask questions I stand in front of him with a smile, he looks at me POINTS AT HIS EARBUDS IN HIS EARS and turns his back to me?? Kroger is okay but it depends on which Kroger you shop at and it is according to the socio-economics of that community on how fresh their food is... For example, in Buckhead Georgia the food is much fresher, everything than in Decatur Georgia? I eat only nuts, fruits and vegetables... I spent $175.00 and I bought a few other items which were fine. However, half of my fruits, and vegetables were rotten once I peeled them. For example, my red potatoes were rotten after I cut them in half and a few times my onions were soggy stinking rotten, squishy. My fruit is rotten... I would estimate 75% of my nuts are completely rotten, garbage. I am very disappointed . I bought Brazil, Walnut, Hazel, Pecan, Peanut and Pistachio nuts in their shells. I spent about $50 or more on nuts alone... I am livid and searching for Trader Joes or Wholefoods. Peradventure people do not buy regularly the type of food that I eat? It made me so sad because I do not have a lot of money to waste. S I guess I will kick some cans...life goes on. I am going to take a few items back but my patience is short so thinking about counting it as a loss! I noticed the same trend with other super markets... This location and the one on MacLand had mold on their Smoke Turkey. I told the meat guy and he was nonchalant about it. How weird is that? YOU have frickin mold on your smoke meat and you pretty much brushed it off. Maybe he was hoping that it would be purchased. Also, Kroger has way too many "Manager Specials" in their meat department. This Kroger has gone down hill in the past year with produce and fish which at times borders on spoiled. Cheese selection not as good as it use to be and the younger cashiers need more training. I feel silly for writing a review about Kroger but after having the second most unpleasant experience there I had to say something. Back in the seafood department there is an older man that wear's glasses with no hair named Patrick and because of him I will not be shopping there any more. Both times I've had to deal with him he has had the WORST attitude with me. The first occasion I asked for old bay to be put on my steamed crab legs (which I've never had any problems before with this at any Kroger) then spent 45 minutes steaming them almost to the point there was no crab meat left to eat while "joking" with me that "we only had 30 more minutes to go" here tonight on my second occasion again the old bay was an issue when I asked but he then clarified he could put it in after the steamer. I said that's fine and it only took 25 minutes to steam this time. (While it should only take 15) and he gave me back my food with a whole tub of old bay poured on it. It was just a very unpleasant experience both times and I wouldn't want someone like this working face to face with customers for my business. read more

This Kroger store has gone down hill and may not survive the competition of a new sprouts store, 2 Walmarts within 3 miles, a Whole Foods, and multiple publix stores. They remodeled it a couple of years ago, they did a great job, they had enthusiastic employees, and it was my go to store. For some reason, maybe the managment team, ( I have personally spoken with the HR person Terry Gathaway and if that's any indication of the quality it is definitely a managment issue. One of my friends worked there and she quit because of managment, my daughter worked there and she quit because of managment. In fact she quit because she thought it was wrong to go to work with the stomach flu, but the store HR manager didn't and insisted she come in or to bring a dr excuse. I don't know about you but i don't want someone with the flu ringing up my groceries. When I called the HR manager to confirm her direction, she talked over me, called my daughter a liar and hung up on me. Then she told me I hung up on her and that everything my daughter said was news to her. I asked to speak with the manager she told me he couldn't talk because he was in the register. I asked for a return call, she took my number but I never received that phone call. They seem to have rediculous employee turnover at this store. The shelves are neve stocked appropriately, and the people working there do not seem happy. I will be taking my business somewhere else from now on. I have a family of 5, I spend (should be past tense because they lost me) more than 200 a week at this store, and they blew me off. Thank goodness I have a choice in my area. read more

After the renovation of this particular Kroger I had high hopes it would be the kind of store I enjoy shopping at. it was, for a short period of time. My main complaint about this store (and I have several) is the disgusting smell in the back at the meat/seafood departments. It smells like rotting meat and week old fish. Its so sickening I have to leave the area. Their cleanliness leaves an awful lot to be desired. I only go there in an emergency situation and then try not to even enter the rear of the store. These cleanliness issues could be resolved very easily with better management. I also feel they need help at the registers getting the customers checked out in a timely manner instead of the "self checkout" lanes which are incredibly frustrating. There is never anyone available to help you get your groceries to your car either. Its so annoying to shop at this Kroger that I will go way out of my way to shop elsewhere even though this is the closest store to my home. They really need new management and a very serious deep cleaning. A meat and seafood department that stinks the way that one does will soon have the health department checking for the safety of customers. The one positive thing I can add to this review is that they usually DO have a nice selection of organic vegetables. read more

This Kroger is about 25 minutes from my house but I prefer to make the drive to this store instead of the 2 within 5 minutes of my house. The store is clean and well stocked. Produce is great. They have a large organic produce and natural foods section, much larger and better quality than other Krogers I've been to. Also much larger section of natural meats and gourmet specialty products. read more
