Been a long time since in my hometown. Umm Krigets is now on opposite side of if the highway. Wha? Haha this is my Kroger venue for getting fresh flowers for Louisville Memorial Gardens Cemetery for parents and relatives. Must get scissors and a jug of water yer, too. Aok. Beautiful flower selection.

I wish I may, I wish I might Catch oatmeal on sale tonight! It's technically not night time, and my oatmeal wasn't on sale (crossing my fingers for the next visit) but there are other things! I went to this location for their Starbucks and strolled to the oatmeal section as an afterthought. This Kroger location is clean, well-stocked, and has plenty of items on sale regularly. I especially like that for some sales if you get multiples of a specific number, you get even more off per item. That's how I've gotten boxes of $3.79 oatmeal for $1.79 each in the past! I'll keep checking in for that oatmeal sale, but until then- there's always Starbucks.

I came in here looking for a gift for my best good friend Jessica, who is a psychic medium. I wanted to get her a ghost or spirit of her own. Not a poltergeist or banshee, but something friendly - like Casper. They don't sell ghosts and looked at me like I was an idiot when I asked. They do sell a small variety of wines, liquor, and beer. They even have a small variety - and I do mean small - variety of local products (beyond the obvious bourbons. This store is located right next to the new Kroger here on Dixie Highway and will meet most of your liver-killing needs. If you're a basic muggle for sure but maybe not for people who have wider alcohol needs.

This is my friendly neighborhood Kroger. It feels like a chore going to this grocery store. It's most convenient for me to stop in on my way home from work, but it's the same for everyone else, so I always tend to go during peek hours. There is plenty of parking at this location, but getting in and out of the parking lot can prove to be a bit of a challenge. Early mornings and late night shopping doesn't quite have the same challenges. The store is nice and large, so it rarely feels over crowded. At times, the produce area is slim pickings. And can be frustrating when your looking for something specific and common, but there is absolutely none, like my quest for Kale about a week ago. The store has a nice gourmet cheese section. It has a deli, fresh sushi bar, starbucks, bakery, fresh seafood counter, and butcher section. This location is unique because It sales clothes also. And surprisingly, I have found some cute and comfy options there. I feel like Krogers is a very expensive grocery store. Definitely need to take advantage of the digital coupons and sales to not feel the pain in your wallet as much at check out. Going in without a plan can leave a big hole in your wallet. The employees have always been very friendly, and it's like you get to know them, since you see them every time you go to the store.

This store is super impressive! The selection they have is so beyond what you would normally expect from a Kroger or any grocery store for that fact. This is a wonderful addition to the south end area. I usually would have to drive to the east end to find even half of the items they are carrying at the new marketplace Kroger. Expect to stay at least an hour or longer on your first visit, there is so much to see and to cover the entire store will take some time. They have a sushi bar and a small area to eat at store. Was so pleased to see Boar's Head deli meat. There are so many options. They have a cheese bar with so many different varieties of cheese. They have a under $5 bucket, this allows you to taste test new varieties before you buy a large piece. Prices of cheese were very reasonable. They also have an olive bar, with lots of options of olives and other items. Super excited to try all the different olives! They have a bread bar with an option to taste test before you buy. The selection and taste was impressive for a Kroger store. They also have a bread slicer, which is a great option, and super easy to use. Produce and meat counter have fresh and multiple options. This store also sells clothing, shoes, toys, and baby items. The prices were reasonable as well, this was surprising. Overall this store is a great solution for any consumer especially those south end residents. They could have added a few more cashiers to help reduce the wait at checkout. Self checkout had little to no wait.its hard to not fill your cart here, so self check out was not an option for me today. I will make the drive up Dixie to buy some new favorites and to have access to many speciality items I struggle to find near by home. See picture of the store, I have added.

My lunch for the day....the greens are good but a little on the spicy side. Price is very good for a lunch during the week!

Lines are always insanely long. Always out of stock of key items. Parking is a mess.

I love this store! I can't shop at any other store around me now because they just feel small and dingy compared to this one.

At Webb's you can get your dry goods, but otherwise it's a very pleasant departure from that model. First and foremost, there is the deli counter in back and the lunch patio. They serve both breakfast sandwiches as well as deli sandwiches. If you pick up your breakfast or lunch to-go, they make everything to order and it's always very quick. Deli smoked sausage sandwich? $2. Country fried steak sandwich? $3. Biscuits 69 cents. Hot wings, beans, chili, mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, cornbread. Want a can of beer with your lunch? That's $1. Webb's is also reasonably stocked with decent produce, which is great since there is no supermarket in Phoenix Hill. So if you want to pick up a couple of tomatoes or onions or bell peppers, you generally can count on getting them here. Webb's received a federal grant to provide equipment and support to carrying healthy items as part of the city's "Healthy in a Hurry" program, and this is the result. (The last time I looked in the produce section, they did have a bunch of girl scout cookies stuffed in there as well, but hey, you need to wash down that lettuce with something, no?)

For TWO DOLLARS (yes kids, not a typo) you can get yourself lunch. You will want to pony up an extra dollar though, for cheese (50 cents) and "dressing" i.e. lettuce, tomato, mayo, etc (50 cents). Still, even with chips and a drink, that's a five buck lunch. And where can you get that kind of a deal anymore?? I got a turkey sandwich, with american cheese, lettuce, tomato, and mustard on wheat bread. And I'll tell ya, its nothing sophisticated but it was pretty darn good. I would definitely come back - they had fried chicken and fried cod that looked delicious! Oh one other thing - Webb's does accept credit cards, but you need to have at least a ten dollar purchase, otherwise they add 25 cents onto your bill. Maybe you care about that, maybe not. Just thought I would put it out there.

I was concerned the ads might be a bit and switch, but there was plenty of product available. I snared quite a few bargains. And I grilled one of the porterhouse steaks tonight and the quality of the beef was excellent. As for the rest of the store, inventory is limited. Some empty shelves, limited selection, and most items are roughly 50¢ to 1$ more than a chain store. The locals have to pay for the convenience. I found it frustrating that many items weren't clearly priced. Particularly in produce. Also, OTG has its own off street parking lot for convenience. Is this an every day shopper? No. But sale prices provide a great reason to shop.

You know that scene from The Simpsons where Grandpa Simpson walks into a brothel, sees his grandson Bart, turns around and walks back out of the door? I kind of wanted to do one of those numbers upon entering Olde Towne Grocery. But I persisted, because I do love checking out local grocery stores when I'm visiting a new area. This one looked like it could have been so much better, but instead it was sad. Empty grocery shelves just give off a depressing feeling, you know? That said, the items that were on the shelves were arranged neatly, so there's that. There was very little produce, and what was there was just the hardy stuff that lasts a long time, like potatoes and onions. The meat counter did not look like it was in commission anymore. I guess a sparse grocery store in a neighborhood is better than no grocery store, right?
