I've shopped at this store consistently since it opened and used to have a great experience. Since COVID, that has changed significantly. I shop weekly, like clockwork, and the store is routinely out of basic items. The natural and vegan section, which once had a solid selection, is now almost always empty. I'm often unable to find even one item I regularly purchase. Even staples like bread are frequently out of stock first thing in the morning. This is not an occasional issue -- it is constant. At this point, I don't understand how a grocery store can so consistently fail to stock basic products. read more

Absolutely abysmal customer service and insane store policies. Just went there today for some groceries and cigarettes. Mind you, since I spend $200 - $300 twice a week here and need cigarettes each time, I'm usually forced to use the self-check out with the conveyer belt nearby to the cigarette section. So, I stand in line for close to 10 minutes. Then I wait another 5 minutes for the attendant to find the right brand. After I've already begun checking out (15 minutes to scan and bag,) she then informs me that there's a new policy that all cigarette purchases must be made through the customer service/western union area. What?! Why?! What in God's green earth is wrong with you people? Have you lost your ever loving minds? Let me get this straight: I have to shop, stand in line, wait for someone to find something, check myself out, bag myself up, pay....then go do most of it all over again? You want me to wait in line TWICE? For one product? Literally, this is the only product you're doing this for! You don't do it for groceries, you don't do it for drugs or medications...nothing but cigarettes. Why? What's the point in the cigarette section? Why have it next to registers? Is customer service/Western Union going to start checking out my hundreds of dollars worth of groceries? No, of course not. This new policy exists solely to inconvenience the customer. Your employees say it's to prevent theft. I thought that was the purpose of putting the cigarettes behind a wall...and two huge checkout kiosks...and requiring an employee to retrieve them. Let me tell you, if this is to be the policy going forward, I'll be taking my business to Publix. I'm not going to stand in line, wait for someone to find something, check myself out, bag my own groceries and then be told to go do it all over again...all the while being given crappy attitude by employees for wasting their valuable time with helping me with the basic task of checking out. BTW it took another ten minutes to get through buying the cigarettes. So, forty minutes just to go through checkout. Add this onto the fact that they haven't had my brand for close to six months. Sometimes I'm lucky enough that they have the individual packs but last time the "new policy" was to charge for the individual pack prices rather than carton price even if you buy the number of packs that come in a carton (raising the price nearly $20...thereby punishing the customer because they can't keep something stock.) While the store is in a convenient location to me, and is 'generally' clean and stocked. Their customer service and store policies are making it too much of a PITA to shop there. read more

This is my go to store! I can't catch all the great deals and price from Kroger. I love getting mostly everything from here. The only thing that's unnecessarily expensive would be the ground beef. read more

This probably doesn't mean much to Kroger, but the time you are open is important to those of us with compromised immune systems. This is the one place I know I can shop late without too many people being in the store. Your hours say close at 11 pm. I along with about 15 others showed up about 10:45pm. The doors were closed (locked). This was such an inconvenience. This is not the the time to let the community make different choices for groceries!! Slightly annoyed with this location disregarding the fact that the customer service is lacking but why does it take 15 mins for me to get a drink if I'm the only one in line that ordered one drink? ? Its too many people to be behind the counter for them to move that slow. in terms of customer service this Kroger severely lacks it. The morning customer service manager and cashiers are not very happy people. Even the quality of the bakery products differ than the Kroger in Fairview Road. I never go to grocery stores. Everything is overpriced and the processed food, high fructose corn syrup and GMO's give me the creeps. But I can't always go to the Farmers Market so... This Kroger like most is large and brightly lit. It's cheaper than Publix (even though the subs aren't as good) and they have a decent selection of organic items (the milk and canned beans in particular). There's a gas station and a Kroger Plus card for extra savings. They've revamped it so you can't find anything. The canned veggies and the canned fruit are on different aisles. The canned tomatoes have a separate VIP section etc. They have long lines but self-checkout helps. At night they lock one entrance which is awkward when you walk up to the locked door.. The cashiers are friendly. So why the two stars? I'm glad you asked! I have nightmares about plastic. The thought of water bottles and plastic bags still being around 100 years after my death is mortifying. So I was delighted to learn that Kroger (and Publix but not Walmart ) uses paper bags. But no-one told the cashiers. So every time I shop I have to ask for a paper bag, convince them that they have paper bags and show them where the paper bags are (behind the registers under the plastic bags.) After the 100th time, I talked to a manager. The same 'too cool for school' manager who'd just asked if I needed help and then sent me out of the way to the wrong aisle to find an item... "Mr. Manager" I said, "your cashiers always say Kroger doesn't have paper bags or that they've run out. They certainly don't know where they're kept." He said, "We don't have any." Yes, you do. "Did you see any? Then we probably ran out." They did in fact have them and they didn't run out. He's the worst. My other issue is with the customer service dept. I'm always returning stuff and I never have my receipt cause I don't feel like looking for it. Normally, they put the refund on a Kroger gift card which I spend immediately. Well this particular manager said "I'll do it this time but next time you need to bring your receipt." I asked, "Since when?" She answered smugly, "It's a new policy. We have a lot theft..." Whaaaat? I gave her the business! "What's the policy? Why is this the only store with the policy? Where is the policy? Don't you have cameras? I understand no refunds but I can't even get a Kroger gift card anymore?" She just gave me a blank stare... and eventually put my refund on a gift card. That's not Kroger's policy FYI. And between the dirty floors, the fake return policy and the paper bag situation, I get my milk and beans elsewhere. read more

Despite this location struggling from the woes of being in an urban area, the staff still tries to present their very best! For the most part, they carry most products that I need for home and my catering gigs! I feel like I know everyone in there as most have been apart of the flat shoals family for as long as I've been apart of the neighborhood or longer! Kudos to them! read more

I typically shop at Kroger when I cant find the items I want at Publix or the Farmers Market. I also enjoy shopping at Krogers when I'm redeeming Free Friday coupon. I prefer to shop at this location in the night time when its not so crowded. At that time their usually restocking items that were purchased earlier in the day. The main reason I don't enjoy shopping here is due to the trash people leave in the parking lot. The sad thing about it is the trash is left by adults who should know better. Its like Krogers have to hire a full-time employee just to monitor/clean the trash in the parking lot. read more

My first time at this Kroger and it was clean, as well as, GREAT customer service at SCO. Employees packing out can be a little nicer when a customer ask for directions. Made me feel like I was bothering them. Other than that, great shopping experience. read more

I went inside this location to go to money services and obtain a money order. I arrive to another lady standing there waiting to be serviced as well. She informed me she had been waiting a good 10 minutes. We start walking around to see if someone would at least address us since we were both standing there. No one did. After a 5 minute walk around looking for a worker, I located someone walking around that worked in the meat department. He informed me that they're closed due to staff shortage and he doesn't know if or when they'll open up. This is ridiculous, it's mid day 3:53pm when I arrived. I understand staff shortage but manage your staff you do have better. On the way to another Kroger now, hope that location is open. read more

I really dislike this store, so why do I keep coming, like everyone else convenience. Last night I ran in for a few small things to hold over until the weekend, and ahead of me in line is a gentleman with no mask, I look in the line next to ma and again, a lady with no mask. The gentleman was engaged in a lengthy and loud conversation about football with other shoppers standing in line. No employee seemed bothered or challenged him, not even the front line supervisor. I don't know why it bothered me, but we are in a pandemic...are masks optional at Kroger's or just at this location. Ms Mercy if that's her name.. the woman pharmacist is extremely rude. One night she rushed to close the pharmacy and just turned the lights off without closing so no one would walk up because she was in rush to check herself out. She also tells you you need to call other pharmacies yourself to transfer prescriptions. That's definitely her job not the patients. Furthermore this store always has rotten produce and old cold cuts that last maybe 2 days in your fridge. I avoid this store as much as possible. read more

This staff at this location is the most rude people I've ever encountered. They don't even know their own policies. I came here with my temporary ID to buy tobacco products with no problems until today. I was denied even though I had multiple IDs to back my temporary ID. Reading is fundamental but it's clear this staff does not do that I'm not sure why these people work at a job that don't want to thoroughly do. They so dumb because I went to their gas station in the parking lot and bought the damn products with mo problem. Just bad customer service all around. Shop at Publix instead. read more

I passed 3 Starbucks on my way home. Purposely stopped at my neighborhood Kroger which has a Starbucks inside. I ordered 3 drinks and was told that they couldn't make them. No coconut milk, no almond milk no soy milk to make my lattes. No lemonade (syrup, I think) to make my wellness tea. Very disappointing. These are basic inventory. I only gave one star because that's all I couldn't just post. Contrary to the posted hours of 24/7...they are NOT. They only have the hours posted on ONE door which is the OUTER most door. I walked up to the door, saw no signage but saw a door open on the other side so I walked around. The employee saw me...instead of him saying "ma'am aren't open"...he lets me get to the other door, look me in my face, locks the door and walks off....mind you it's 34 degrees outside and this is how you treat customers!! I love this Kroger. It's neat, clean, and organized! It's a big Kroger that offers everything you need. Subs, Hot food, cakes, groceries, balloons etc... you know your typical Kroger. I've never seen a long line yet and the customer service is great. I will be visiting often! Parking can get a little out of hand when it's after work hours or Saturday, but it's open 24 hours go anytime! read more

This a very dependable and friendly Kroger. When all of the other stores within a 5 to 10 mile radius were closed during 2011 snowstorm, this Kroger opened its doors for the community. They will always have my business. Kudos to this staff. read more

This Kroger is the worst and my girlfriend warned me several times to never shop here again. But it's 5 minutes away so I go out of convenience. However, it's so not worth it.
