They open at 7am so are great for when I wake up early and want a nice weekend feed. Prices are reasonable, and the breakfasts are nice and simple. Eggs, bacon, avocado, mushrooms and a slice of toast made up my most recent breakfast. All fresh and well cooked. The mushrooms are great, though I wouldn't be surprised if they're just fried up in some butter. I got this for about $15, probably a bit under. The rest of the menu sits around that price and offers what you would find on most Australian breakfast restaurant menu's. They use their mushrooms and avocado quite eagerly on the menu - which is great for those of us who appreciate it. What they don't have is hash browns, which though my partner and I love them, actually makes our breakfast choice a lot easier. And most likely healthier. Simply Duo seems to be run by a family, though I can't be sure. Whoever you get served by is generally cheerful and friendly. A good local business. The coffee's are nice and go down well with breakfast. The actual shop is long and narrow, and seats around 30 people. There is some outdoor seating just out the front as well. It's warm and inviting, not over decorated, but has a homely feel to it. What I haven't been to yet, and am itching to get to is dinner at Simply Duo. From Wednesdays to Saturdays they open up as a Vietnamese restaurant! The menu isn't huge, but offers a wide variety of dishes, and from all reviews I've heard good things. I think it's a great idea for them to be opening almost as two separate restaurants - at least my interest is piqued!

Chips, that for some reason always seem a little off. Discoloured and soft. But it's fast. And it's food (okay so that's up for debate). Nothing calling me back here. Actually more pushing me away. We were eating with a coeliac, so we ordered gluten free and when we received the pizza in a normal box, she politely explained that it was still gluten free but they were out of boxes, and we were really happy she said something because it would have just added unneeded stress. The pizzas were fantastic! Even for the brand they were noteworthy, the ingredients were fresh and the pizza was hot and tasty. Definitely going back

Perhaps it's the location that hinders its mass appeal. The place is pretty much hidden from the main road and can be glimpsed when driving right past it. Perhaps it's has that stock standard décor of your hole in the wall place take away. All these things aside, the good indication that it doesn't make crap food is that it's still operating. Ive bought burgers and fish and chips from here before and they are all passable.
