It was to my great surprise, when I found out about this great burger restaurant, tucked away in the Northside suburbs of Brisbane. I did a take away order, and the lineup and the stacks of hungry patrons waiting for their meal was enormous. This means that they are either heavily understaffed, or their food is awesome! Luckily it was the latter. The counter staff took my order, and told me it was a 30 minute wait (which turned out to be pretty accurate). We ordered a Getta Boss burger (beef brisket, bacon, cheese, pickle, jalapeños and special bbq sauce), Getta Pulled Pork (pulled pork and coleslaw with bbq sauce) and a serve of chips. The burgers were big. Big enough that we didn't really need the chips (which were huge too). They were quite tasty, and very filling. I will definitely be back again, that's for sure. The chips were so large, that I would definitely recommend 1 serve between 2-3 people, if you are all ordering a burger. I have rated this a 4 star meal. It is not the best burger I have ever had, but it was far from the worst. I would rate this burger as better than grilled, and burger urge. But probably not as good as da burger. read more

I bought a beef burger with the lot minus cheese and it was very nice, however the following day I bought a vegan burger on an oat bun which gave me food poisoning. I only eat red meat once per week so went the vegan burger way. I don't know if it was because I suffer IBS or if it was food poisoning but I won't be having a vegan option again. I'm now sceptical about trying a chicken burger as most fast food chicken doesn't agree with me. I may have more beef burgers in the future. read more

The menu is not extensive but if you like beef burgers, brisket and bacon you are all set! Warning: the burgers are huge! I can eat a lot but I can't finish their standard burgers so have taken to ordering a Jr Getta Burger. This is rurally out of character for me as I never order beef burgers, usually chicken, but the beef patty was juicy and perfectly cooked. We got Getta Filthy Fries too which are fries smothered in brisket, bacon, pulled meat, cheese and selected sauces. Definitely a dish to share. Sometimes you have to wait for food and it's okay because it's worth it, other times you wait a little too long and your interest wanes and you really wish you'd gone elsewhere. This place borders on the later. It's not the food, it's great and yummy and very American. This is one place you are not really allowed to play with your burger , you buy the item from the board and that's it, no options . My problem here is the way the store is run, telephone orders are given priority over the people waiting in the store itself. You stand there half way through your order to be stuck on on hold until the phone order is taken, then that order is processed then it's your turn ( the phone order jumped ahead of you) Okay, so that's good if you do a phone order right? No, while you are standing there you hear people who come in for the phone order told it could be another 35 minutes. What's happening ? How long am I to wait if the phone orders are waiting with me ? Turns out very few people get a quick grab and run ( order by phone and come in a little later) I suppose you can time it or get to know the staff to get a better time. Try the dirty fries but be aware a bypass may be in your future ! read more

My boyfriend and I eat Getta Burger way too regularly. If we aren't trying new specials we always get The Getta Burger and The Getta Lot, as well as a fries (yes we eat it all ourselves). They almost always fill the fries to a mountain rather than just the top of the holder - this generosity is a sure fire way to a burger lovers heart. For the price and quality of food that we receive 90% of the time, the wait for our burgers aren't much of a sacrifice. Understandably, if you are wanting Getta Burger at a peak dinner time or on weekends and are impatient, definitely phone order because waits can get lengthy, but it is so worth it! read more

Great burgers and food. Bit of a mix between Grilld but with an american twist and more value for money. I have tried most of the menu and am impressed with the quality and taste of all their items. I do enjoy a good burger and in my opinion Getta Burger isn't quite as good as it looks. Don't get me wrong the burgers are rather nice but just lack in flavour, the fact that they have a random burger of the week is great though cause it gives you something different to try every week but all in all the burgers are just missing something and the fries are not very nice at all very salty and dry, I will keep trying more burgers of the week and hope that they improve as I have been their 5 times now and the price is good the service is great it's just the flavour and taste that is stopping me from giving it 4 stars but as I said I hope that it improves read more

The flies !!!!! Actually didn't get to eat due to the guy working the counter found the incoming calls more important than the customers in front of him. Ate here before when they first opened and was great. Waited for 5 minutes as we watched the guy on the phone and attacked by flies, national geographic third world country flies. Amazing burgers with the popularity to maybe take a while to get your order done in the busy periods but that's fine, people are like moths to the shining light of big American flavours. Can not recommend enough. Food heaven at my back door at last. read more

Getta Burger is one the best burger joints I have been to since Grill'd. They have a weekly burger special which is always exciting and different and usually quite nice. They also have a nice range of regular burgers that are also quite pleasant. The one at Bridgeman doesn't sell apple pie milkshakes :( read more
