Alot of reviews I have read compare Getta Burger to the American burger experience, however i really felt like i was eating a burger from the local fish and chip shop in the early 90's when i was a kid. I had the "Getta" Bun nearly as big as my face, that didn't taste like it was mainly sugar and preservatives. Meat pattie that is actual meat, not offcuts and dripping with fat, just meat. Tomato, pickle, mayo, tomato relish, cheese, oh my lord yum. I literally felt like i was 10 again. Mr had the "Lot", so more of the above with added bacon, mustard and bbq sauce which is made in store. He was pretty happy kid too! The fries are not horrible, but you honestly could give them a miss because all that burger-y goodness is going to get you pretty full.. I was also pleasantly surprised to not get charged through the eyeballs for a can of Dr Pepper (i know Dr Pepper isnt everyones 'cup o tea', they also have root beer!). All in all we will probably be back. Kudos to the staff, there was only 2 of them working and were pretty steady, and we had our hot, fresh food in around 15 mins.

We were looking forward to a good breakfast and ordered the Big Breakfast with avocado added and a couple of coffees. When our breakfast arrived it looked good, but as soon as we touched the eggs they were hard and rubbery and our hearts sank. There's not much worse than overcooked poached eggs. Cutting into the eggs, all 4 were hard boiled with an overwhelming smell and taste of vinegar. If the eggs were just hard we would have still eaten them, but all we could taste was vinegar and the whites were rubbery and inedible. The waitress offered to replace them with fried eggs after talking to the cook. She advised that the cook could only make poached eggs with vinegared water and they couldn't guarantee that the same thing wouldn't happen again. We look forward to soft poached eggs with breakfast every Saturday, so we took the chance that if they were cooked properly they wouldn't taste like vinegar...unfortunately that was a very bad mistake. The eggs were replaced with terribly under-cooked poached eggs with raw whites oozing all over the plate. The thin layer of cooked whites on the outside still tasted only like vinegar so we just ate the yolks. The rest of the breakfast was nice, but we left feeling like the cook had no idea how to poach eggs, or had deliberately under cooked the eggs to the point that they were also inedible. Either way, we wouldn't go back.

The joint is unassuming and casual but the service and the food is beyond delightful. Cheery, helpful and kid-friendly. I was thrilled to see a few toddlers already dining there on a Saturday night. Even more thrilled that they were not at all fussed when we asked for a table change away from the cold draft of our original table. The choice of beers (Green Beacon) excited my husband who'd already spied his top two faves in the fridge. We ordered the bacon and blue for him, cheeseburger for me and buffalo wings to share and our companions also ordered the lamb and tatziki burger. We were all extremely happy with our choices. The cheeseburger is always my go to, when trying a new burger joint and this didn't disappoint me. I observed the melted cheese when my waitress brought the dish and I was salivating. The patty was perfectly cooked, the brioche was light and tasty. My taste buds were doing the samba! Joy of joys! The buffalo wings were flavoursome and absolutely divine! I could honestly devour them in one sitting sans the burger. I didn't notice any hot sauce but you didn't need them. It was just the right amount of heat (not overpowering at all). Brew Master's, I'll definitely be back!

I recommend perching yourself on the bar stools for the best experience. The burgers here each and every time have been perfect. Flavoursome, tender and drrrrrrrrrrrrrroooooool, omg I may have to stop writing this review or risk drowning in my own saliva. And the wings...oh my ....the WINGS! Since my first visit the customer service experience has definately improved with each visit. The food is so good, like any good relationship, those little flaws like space and acoutics don't bother me so much now, in fact they enhance the whole authentic diner experience. Original Review - I do love the food at Hudson's Corner. If I was just rating on the food alone it would definately get 5 stars. I will definately go back...for the food. Unfortunetly though it is not a place where you can go and enjoy a meal with a friend and have a personal conversation as the tables are cramped in and the acoustics promote a loud and buzzy atmosphere. It is only a small place but when it is at capacity it tends to sound like an old man's public bar. So if you are into good food but not a noisy environment - then do yourself a favour and grab some takeway! The food is amazing, from the slow cooked pork belly, to the specialty wings and the amazing fries and onion rings. Plenty of craft and imported beer option to wash your meal down with! The service is adequate, but not anything special, there is probably a bit of room for improvement. You know that thing, where you sense people just love thier jobs. I wasn't feeling it at Hudson's.

We both ordered the Rusty Breakfast which was massive, but I was so disappointed with the barely warmed up bacon. I'm sure that there must be some people that like their bacon like this, barely cooked with no colour and not a hint of crispiness, but I am definitely not one of them and I pushed it aside. This would have been an awesome breakfast with some delicious crispy bacon, and if we were to go back I'd have to ask if they can cook crispy bacon before ordering as it was such a let down compared to the rest of the meal.

Waited about an hour for our two meals (not sure if it was because we moved tables but that wasn't long after we sat on the first ones) Others who arrived after us, had received their foods and even left. When they realised they messed up, the waitress was really nice to offer us free drinks and 20% off. Was really humbled to hear that and it was good they took responsibility and reprimanded it. Fried chicken and waffles was a bit of a disappointment. Chicken was a bit dry, skin didn't have a nice batter and was too oily. Waffles were too bready and over drizzled with the maple syrup. Bacon was nice though. Think it's a great idea to have on the menu but the chicken should be southern battered fried chicken, waffles should be thinner and crunchy and not so much maple syrup. Got our meals discounted so was I happy. Keen to come back and give them another chance till I decide to become a regular. Rooting for you guys!

I was in Australia for 10 days and found this little gem in the airport before my trip back home. I was particularly excited because I don't care for breakfast food (especially eggs, which really creep me out for some reason...). So when I saw that I could have an amazing burger for breakfast I was instantly happy! I ordered the Donald Trump burger. They did have a Mrs. Clinton burger but it was chicken and didn't seem to be as tasty as the Trump burger. Any who, the Trump burger was pulled beef (like shredded pot roast), cheddar cheese, thick-cut bacon, seasoned french fries, BBQ sauce, garlic truffle aioli and thinly sliced Cornichons. The result? DELICIOUS!!! I paired this magnificent burger with their garlic and herb "chips" - which were also fantastically delicious! Overall, great service and a great meal! The perfect way to say goodbye to Australia :-)
