Hi guys,
Matt and Mitch here, back at KFC again this week. Here's the low down on our weekly chicken hoedown.
Matt
Large Chicken Tendies Box - Pepsi Max
Mitch
Large Zinger Boxed Meal - Pepsi Max
Initial thoughts
Wow, bit of a line guys?! That's okay, it'll probably move pretty fast... oh wait, they've only got one person on the counter during peak hour. Gee willickers haha. Anyway... The wait was very long, there were only 3 people in front of us and it took about 10 minutes to be served. "Fast food"? More like, "Could be Faster Food".
The Food Review
Matt:
Look, you've gotta hand it to KFC. They know how to cook chicken. I got the chicken tendies box again (if it ain't broke, don't fix it) and it was even better than I remember from last time. My chicken tendies were tender (geddit?) and my chips were perfect and fresh. My popcorn chicken was delicious and there was even an aioli satchet in the box this week-- I couldn't quite figure out if I liked it, however I appreciated the addition. My Pepsi Max was cold and refreshing. Overall I'd rate this meal a 4.5 out of 5 stars. Just get some more peeps on the registers.
Mitch:
Once again, I failed to remove the perforated section of my boxed meal in one swift motion. Look, this isn't a go at KFC, this is simply a continual error of mine. Perhaps instructions are required? Regardless, being greeted by the delightful gold food that lied beneath quickly shifted my disappointment from testy to zesty. The Zinger™ chicken fillet burger was fantastic - crunchy lettuce, fresh chicken, not too much mayo but just enough, and ripe plump buns. To accompany it, the chips were also crisp and well salted. Just the way I like it guys! The Wicked Wings™ I received however weren't quite as satisfying as what I've come to expect. More moist than crunchy - not something people often enjoy when biting into fried chicken.
Outcome:
Mitch - 3/5. Would be a 4 if the wait time was reduced. read more
