Really enjoyed this place! Decor is good, server was nice and there is a view if you want to look out at the tarmac. Prices are a bit high but that seems to be the standard. My beef & mushroom burger was delicious! The best burger I had in Australia! The fries (chips) were fine and my son really enjoyed his fish. Washed it down with a crisp Tooheys from the bar and I'll admit I was torn between 4 and 5 stars on this place. Based on the other options available there is no doubt we made the right choice!

Do you go to an airport for a great meal? No. It's really one of those life compromises that you make with yourself when travelling. You just accept that unless you're living life in the lap of luxury your forgoing exceptional food from the time your transit begins. Yet, on a recent trip from the International terminal, I was pleasantly surprised by Windmill & Co, the newest addition to the departure area for Brisbane International Airport. Sure, maybe previous dining experiences in this area at other establishments have been so sub-par that the fare served within these architecturally designed walls seems that much better, but I'd like to think it's not just that. I ordered a flat white and eggs with bacon and avocado. All was served promptly and for something so simple done better than any airport meal I've had, it was all worth the always slightly inflated airport pricing we have come to know and love.

I had some breakfast at Windmill and Co before my international flight. The place was busy but I was served quickly and the food didn't take long at all. I ordered the Eggs Benedict with spinach and mushroom and a hashbrown. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the hollandaise top notch. My only tip would be to get coffee in a mug because the regular size was a bit small.

Good food, grumpy bar staff. Don't come to find out about the beer on tap. Definitely appears to be not a happy place to work.

We were looking forward to a good breakfast and ordered the Big Breakfast with avocado added and a couple of coffees. When our breakfast arrived it looked good, but as soon as we touched the eggs they were hard and rubbery and our hearts sank. There's not much worse than overcooked poached eggs. Cutting into the eggs, all 4 were hard boiled with an overwhelming smell and taste of vinegar. If the eggs were just hard we would have still eaten them, but all we could taste was vinegar and the whites were rubbery and inedible. The waitress offered to replace them with fried eggs after talking to the cook. She advised that the cook could only make poached eggs with vinegared water and they couldn't guarantee that the same thing wouldn't happen again. We look forward to soft poached eggs with breakfast every Saturday, so we took the chance that if they were cooked properly they wouldn't taste like vinegar...unfortunately that was a very bad mistake. The eggs were replaced with terribly under-cooked poached eggs with raw whites oozing all over the plate. The thin layer of cooked whites on the outside still tasted only like vinegar so we just ate the yolks. The rest of the breakfast was nice, but we left feeling like the cook had no idea how to poach eggs, or had deliberately under cooked the eggs to the point that they were also inedible. Either way, we wouldn't go back.

The joint is unassuming and casual but the service and the food is beyond delightful. Cheery, helpful and kid-friendly. I was thrilled to see a few toddlers already dining there on a Saturday night. Even more thrilled that they were not at all fussed when we asked for a table change away from the cold draft of our original table. The choice of beers (Green Beacon) excited my husband who'd already spied his top two faves in the fridge. We ordered the bacon and blue for him, cheeseburger for me and buffalo wings to share and our companions also ordered the lamb and tatziki burger. We were all extremely happy with our choices. The cheeseburger is always my go to, when trying a new burger joint and this didn't disappoint me. I observed the melted cheese when my waitress brought the dish and I was salivating. The patty was perfectly cooked, the brioche was light and tasty. My taste buds were doing the samba! Joy of joys! The buffalo wings were flavoursome and absolutely divine! I could honestly devour them in one sitting sans the burger. I didn't notice any hot sauce but you didn't need them. It was just the right amount of heat (not overpowering at all). Brew Master's, I'll definitely be back!

I saw a photo of Greaser online of its creepy back area, a concrete and fluroescent light dungeon…read morecovered in menacing graffiti, and made plans with friends to go there immediately. Greaser's shtick is, well, a 50s American greaser bar. Think of the kind of place James Dean and the Fonz would have a beverage. It also serves greasy (hehe) American food like fried chicken, burgers, fries and hot dogs. Greaser's front bar area is not a creepy dungeon at all, and quite elegant and cosy under the dim lighting. Between all of us, my group of friends ordered everything off the menu. I ordered the fried chicken. The coating was KFC-like but with interesting spices in it - I think it may have been dukkah. Unlike KFC, I didn't feel sadness and regrets afterwards - it was really delicious. Our meals came with onion-y "red eye" gravy and smoked chipotle mayonnaise, which I quickly became addicted to and mopped up with chips. There's a few interesting beers on tap but I had the special that night - whisky with freshly-made apple juice, straight from the juicer. PLUS the bar played some fun rockabilly and 80s tunes that got us chair-dancing over our burgers. Greaser is pretty cool. I hope they hold events and gigs in the future because it's a rad little space.

This place is absolutely fantastic. Hands down the best bar in Brisbane I've been to in years…read more Greaser is bang on trend in the way that only a place opened once a trend has settled down can be. Serves generally American food and drinks? Check. Craft beer? Check. Much edgier barstaff than you are? Check? Down an alley? Check. Johnny Cash on the stereo? Check and check. I wanted to go because I wanted to try it but with some recent rock bottom experiences with other bars in this vein I kept expectations set to low. There is nothing particularly original about Greasers. American food stopped being a revelation a while ago, and frankly is starting to grate a little. Bloody Marys and Picklebacks are having a real moment right now so people are slinging them at you anywhere you go. And craft beer? You can now actually get it with breakfast some places. The fact that these are everywhere does not in any way diminish their appeal. I like burgers, I love bloody marys, and I enjoy brine more than is entirely reasonable. And these offerings are made all the more appealing by Greaser. The space itself is lovely with ample couch seating and booths, elegantly low lighting that isn't seedy and the mid-century music that is curated rather than cloying. Special mention must be made of the staff. During our visit they were uniformly incredibly polite, attentive and very very pleasant to deal with. Knowledgeable about the drinks behind them and able to mix an excellent cocktail. These are the sort of staff we should see more of and who should be clutched like rare diamonds by bar owners. Special shout to the woman with the tattoos and undercut. She mixed what is easily the best bloody mary I've had in Brisbane. Served on bourbon with plenty of hot sauce, this was living and this was living well. Greaser also has a top flight tequila selection which is really great to see. It's wonderful that more places are experimenting with tequila and incorporating it into more than shots, which is a really barbaric way to treat a drink of such complexity. One of our group hailed from Mexico City so this was a blessed relief. My ex is Mexican and nothing says 'Australians are completely clueless about soft racism' than taking someone's national drink and letting bogans punch it until they fall over Here the reposada is served in appropriate glassware and all is good. The troubles with on-trend establishments are just like the troubles of any other establishment, poor staff, wrong price point, sub-par offerings etc. The problem is when a venue is also tricked up there can be a gloss over it that keeps people coming back for no particularly great reason other than to be seen to enjoy themselves. Greaser suffers for none of this. This is a bar that is serious about being a bar. All venues need an edge. But as more and more venues in Brisbane slide from creative to kitsch it is deeply refreshing to see a venue like Greaser that maintains an interesting point but does it with a laser like focus on great service, great décor, great drinks and great food. It's a real credit to the group behind this venture. I'll be back. A lot.

I dragged myself outta bed and into the car to get myself some crazy ass fries and a ginger beer. I have learnt that if that won't fix me, nothing will. My date took advantage of the $6.50 wings special and we chatted to the bartender as we worked our way through our food. I need to talk to you about these fries. Perfect thickness of chip with Ze sauce and maple bacon. Maple bacon. Like, come on! I was informed that the wings were perfect. Not too spicy and not at all oily. I was in Australia for 10 days and found this little gem in the airport before my trip back home. I was particularly excited because I don't care for breakfast food (especially eggs, which really creep me out for some reason...). So when I saw that I could have an amazing burger for breakfast I was instantly happy! I ordered the Donald Trump burger. They did have a Mrs. Clinton burger but it was chicken and didn't seem to be as tasty as the Trump burger. Any who, the Trump burger was pulled beef (like shredded pot roast), cheddar cheese, thick-cut bacon, seasoned french fries, BBQ sauce, garlic truffle aioli and thinly sliced Cornichons. The result? DELICIOUS!!! I paired this magnificent burger with their garlic and herb "chips" - which were also fantastically delicious! Overall, great service and a great meal!
