I wanted this place to be great. I really did.
I've seen it before, tucked away in a side street, it's not actually on Sandgate Road.
If you want to eat in, you eat on the tiny deck; it's pretty intimate, and quite pretty at night, or you can get takeaway of course.
Well, the prices are pretty decent, although serving sizes are a little small, so that balances it out. But why two stars?
I ordered honey chicken and fried rice. It's about the only Chinese food i'll eat, but sometimes I really crave it. The honey chicken was not great. Pretty bland really. The fried rice... well you could taste the lashings of MSG, and not much else.
I now feel sick, and will be throwing out the leftovers I had planned to take for lunch tomorrow. It gets more than one star because I think the balcony is pretty at night. read more
