I recently learned that Howard Wright-- a major investor and director of this establishment--was…read morefined for driving "in a dangerous manner" in an incident that involved a 12-year-old boy on an e-bike. A joke of a punishment for the crime. On video you can see this sick man speed up in a Audi, intentionally, to hit a child on a bike on the side of the road out of traffic. He proceeds to scream at the child, while the child pleaded for his life. I hope karma does her magic. Even more concerning is how Mr. Wright seemed to justify his actions by blaming the child's bike as "illegal," rather than genuinely acknowledging the danger and illegality his own driving posed. I expect higher ethical standards and community responsibility from anyone at the helm of a hospitality business. While the restaurant itself may serve somewhat average food or drinks, I personally cannot support an establishment whose leadership shows such disregard for safety and empathy--especially when a young child's wellbeing is at stake. Until clear accountability and genuine remorse are demonstrated, I'll be dining elsewhere. If you care about patronizing businesses that reflect your values, I would encourage you to consider taking your money and support elsewhere, too. The experience at these venues sucked before these events occurred too, every other option nearby provide a way better experience. Terrible for family photos. Terrible lighting

Stumbled across this cafe bar by accident, as we approached the door we didn't know what to expect…read morebut oh my god. This place was gorgeous inside, real leather lounges which were comfy. There are heavy curtains hanging and behind one lot of curtains was the pool table. Tables and chairs a plenty so your sure to get a seat. They have a small nibble menu and the Italian meatballs were full of flavour and came out in this cute cast iron frypan with bread on the side. I ordered a Peroni beer and fell over backwards as it arrived in a 500ml glass. They also had a special going that is you order a pizza and two 300 ml Peroni beers you pay $25. This cafe wine beer bar had friendly staff and is an Italian bar. Definitely worth a visit if you want to meet up with friends over a quiet drink.

What a fantastic surprise The Bavarian was! We did the rounds of the new restaurants at Chermy last…read moreweekend checking the breakfast menus and decided to try out the Bavarian. We were not disappointed, and came back again today for breakfast. First visit: My OH ordered the Big Bavarian Breakfast with avo added and the eggs poached instead of sunny side up; and I ordered the Vegetarian Bene with bacon and avo added. Both meals were delicious and very generous. The Big Bavarian actually also has grilled tomato which isn't listed on the menu. The potato hash was a big hit. My poached eggs were overdone, but when I mentioned it they replaced them with perfect oozy poachies, baby spinach, bacon and tomato! The mushroom was crumbed and fried like a schnitzel. Needless to say I was very impressed and could not finish everything (although I really wanted to lol). Second visit: We ordered the same dishes (as they were that good last week!) but I made some alterations today suit my dietary requirements. I asked them to pan fry the mushroom instead of getting it crumbed and fried, and I asked for no bread, the sauce on the side, and added some avo again (as it's not breakfast without avo). They were extremely accommodating and the meal was delicious yet again. Overall: The food is delicious and the service was great on both our visits. This morning they checked in to see how our meals were and asked again when they cleared the plates. We will definitely be back for breakfast and will also have to come for dinner one night.

I've been coming here fairly regularly for quite a while now. I like a steak, and it was a good…read moreplace to get one while out shopping. Sure, it wasn't sensational, but good enough. Recently the menu has updated. The 400 gram rump I normally got was gone, now a 300 (too small) or 600 (too big, unless you're famished). I went the 600 cos heck, why not. It was a good size, but the salad portion was tiny, as were the chips. I thought maybe because my steak was so big... They've got schnitzels on the menu now too, so I thought I'd try their parma. I tell you what, it's not going to make any 'best parma in Brisbane' lists. When the lady brought it out I felt like checking I'd ordered the normal size parma, because what I got for $20something dollars looked more like the $10 lunch deal you get at some places. It was tiny. And still that tiny serving of salad and chips. The ham was the cheap, nasty discount diced ham you can pick up at the supermarket. You know, not actual ham, just ham-like substance. The sauce, probably the worst I've had on a parma. I think that's it for me. I'm done. I'll be heading over to the rissole anytime I want a steak in future.

Went for Breakfast. Meals were reasonably tasty. Wasn't impressed we had to remind the staff to…read moremake the coffees we ordered long after our meals were finished. What made it worse was watching three staff chat and make coffee for themselves while we were eating our meals wishing we had a cuppa to wash it down with. Room for improvement.
