Without fail from lunchtime and into the evening there are hoards of tired, hungry and thirsty individuals packing out the place for cheap pub feeds and drink specials. I have been there with a couple of mates for dinner and my hats off to the chef for being able to maintain a high lever of food. I do only order the steak, salad and chips but it's worth more than what I shell out. This doesn't matter because the remainder of my money is always spent on cheap drink specials they have. In six months I hope this place is still going when the Northern Busway is completed, but I wouldn't be surprised that the owners pack up and leave because of the major change they would have made over the past year.

I remember…read morereading an article in the paper about the Brisbane Airport Link and they had a huge picture of this pub next to the artiicle and I said to myself that I had to go and have a drink here. Well, I can't say that it is one of those trendy inner-city pubs where all the hip and cool people hang out, but it isn't a bad pub, even if it is because of its old style frontage (I like those old style pub frontages). Seriously, it is basically your typical, everyday, suburban pub with a pokies room, sports bar, and restaurant (though it doesn't have a beer garden). Oh, I should mention that the staff were really cool, so if you do like in the area I do recommend it (but then you probably already know about the place anyway).

We got 20 large olives each, so half are going home as a takeaway. For $6, a cheap appetiser for 3-4 while waiting for mains. Mains range in price, but value for money. Would highly recommend, and will be back.

Oh, and they had a pretty awesome selection of beers, and the beer garden was nothing short of awesome.

They serve Campos coffee, one of my top 2 coffees. On top of this, they have the richest small chocolate mud cakes. The cakes and slice from here are amazing. I cannot recommend the chocolate cake enough. I often have meetings with business clients here. There are a couple of cafes along the strip but I find Refulled to have the best seating area. Couple that with great coffee and you have a relaxing, enjoyable meeting. The outdoor seating gets a nice breeze and the interior is simply decorated but with a warm and quirky style. The staff are friendly and take their time to prepare good quality food.

The queue was quick and the menu was large, and easy to read. The service was friendly and prompt, I like that. Once our order was placed we sat down. There was plenty of seating available despite being a busy little spot on a Saturday morning. I felt relaxed and at ease. Plenty of families around. Before we knew it our coffee arrived, followed by our food shortly afterwards. We both ordered avocado on toast with bacon. For what you got, very pricey! The bread was a little bit soggy and not crunchy which is what I was hoping for. However the avocado was thoroughly ripe, creamy, and the bacon was crunchy on the outsides, succulent in the middle. For drinks I ordered an iced latte. It was full bodied and flavoursome, a great ratio between milk, coffee, and ice. Nothing to complain about here! Well done Refueled Café, thumbs up!

The inside is an air-conditioned shelter from the complex's hot expanse, and the decor is modern, unassuming, and relaxing. Kafe Krave seems to offer both table or counter service, depending on what you want to do. You see a lot of people placing takeaway coffee orders at the counter and selecting a piece of cake or a salad from the cabinet, but there are also people who opt to settle in at a table and wait to be brought a menu. I found the staff to be very nice and helpful, and my pot of tea was brought promptly (I hate when restaurants let it set at the service counter until it's brewed to the point of bitterness) and with a smile. My companion enjoyed her coffee and said her piece of cake was very satisfactory. Even though Kafe Krave is the latest in a string of cafes in this spot, I hope they last because they definitely deserve to.
