It was to my great surprise, when I found out about this great burger restaurant, tucked away in…read morethe Northside suburbs of Brisbane. I did a take away order, and the lineup and the stacks of hungry patrons waiting for their meal was enormous. This means that they are either heavily understaffed, or their food is awesome! Luckily it was the latter. The counter staff took my order, and told me it was a 30 minute wait (which turned out to be pretty accurate). We ordered a Getta Boss burger (beef brisket, bacon, cheese, pickle, jalapeños and special bbq sauce), Getta Pulled Pork (pulled pork and coleslaw with bbq sauce) and a serve of chips. The burgers were big. Big enough that we didn't really need the chips (which were huge too). They were quite tasty, and very filling. I will definitely be back again, that's for sure. The chips were so large, that I would definitely recommend 1 serve between 2-3 people, if you are all ordering a burger. I have rated this a 4 star meal. It is not the best burger I have ever had, but it was far from the worst. I would rate this burger as better than grilled, and burger urge. But probably not as good as da burger.

I only eat red meat once per week so went the vegan burger way. I don't know if it was because I suffer IBS or if it was food poisoning but I won't be having a vegan option again. I'm now sceptical about trying a chicken burger as most fast food chicken doesn't agree with me. I may have more beef burgers in the future.

But this lovely young couple have pulled it off. A nice selection of burgers with some great basics through to some fancy options including chicken and salmon. However... Some basic burgers should stay just that. Basic. Great chips. Great selection of drinks (soft) Nice cold fridge and some specialist ginger beer and sarsaparilla from Cascade. Support this local burger joint because it would be a shame to lose such quality burgers from so close to my home!

Requested rum and got red rum, got johnny walker when asked for something else. Food was nice. Especially for burger price compared to specialist places like Urge or Grilled. I had americano, mum a mushroom and gf a pulled pork. Mine was great, mums good, gf's terrible. Pulled pork had caramelised onion with tonnes of balsamic vinegar then burger covered with aioli. Too strong and tasted yucky. Will go back again to try other burgers next time. But may just get take away.

We saw the Ramekins sign from the street and quickly looked it up to find several very favourable reviews. Sold! We ordered at the counter inside (very cute decor) and took our table number outside to sit in the sunshine while we waited. I had: Eggs Benedict with bacon. Served on a thick piece of toasted Turkish bread and drizzled with tangy hollandaise. It was delicious. He had: breakfast burger. I didn't get a chance to try it before it was demolished but the review was definitely positive. After we devoured our savoury breakfasts, sweets were on the brain so we ordered a butterscotch muffin. You have a choice of butter or cream - we chose cream. Our muffin arrived piping hot with a miniature mug of heavy whipped cream on the side. It was absolutely sinful. Ramekins Cafe is definitely a must-try if in the area!

It is fresh, plentiful, and always leaves me satisfied. The menu is likewise large, there is always something else to try, I don't feel constricted to get the same thing every visit like a lot of places with that 'One hit wonder'. It's got something everyone is looking for from the health freaks, calorie conscious eaters, to the protein lovers who enjoy a heaping meat and eggs for breakfast.. or lunch! The price is more than reasonable for the amount and quality that is placed in front of you, and not only is it a pleasure to consume the food, the atmosphere created by the upbeat, friendly staff (even at 7am) makes a trip to Ramekins even better. This locally eatery cannot be passed up and I recommend every local try it, if you haven't already.
