It was around 4:30 on October 11th. The sweetest lady took my order via the intercom in the drive thru. I placed my order and sat in line, but not for very long. Pulled up to the window, she repeated my order back to me and rang up my order. She was just so sweet and pleasant. I've previously only dealt with manager and unfortunately he is usually working alone. Staffing issues in Texomaland is stressful. 3 restaurants closed forever last week due to non staff. The manager here is very pleasant and extremely dedicated. He continues to keep this establishment open regardless of staffing. When I returned to the lake home in Oklahoma, the chicken and sides were still extremely hot. Chicken was crispy and delicious. Spouse said, the sides were good. I could smell the gravy, and wanted it with the mashed potatoes, but I am still on a never ending diet. Please patronize this local Church's and help keep the doors open. My order was correct and extremely hot, which was a win win. I will continue to support this location in Denison, Texas.

So hot, thin enough to not be squishy but thick enough to taste the fish and not just the batter. Large servings of the catfish, the shrimp, and the chicken strips. Jason ordered the Lava #1 (2 mild strips) and I got the Lava #2 (2 hot chicken sliders). The "hot" was more of a medium kick, while the mild still had great flavor without much heat--so definitely approachable for anyone easing into spice. I also helped myself get some mac & cheese since it was a cold and rainy day, but to be honest I probably would've gotten some mac & cheese anyways. Delicious! Also have to shout out Alex--super patient, helpful with the menu, and honestly just great service all around. He anticipated what we needed before we even had to ask, which you don't see often. Really made the experience even better. And I have to add--I'm usually not a fan of crinkle fries, but these were actually spot on. We'll definitely be back!
