    SAD rangoons.

This place has changed for the worse, there were compromises during covid but these latest ones are about to cost them . The portions are significantly smaller than they once were (for $2 more), the former menu has been reduced and americanized further with run of the mill chinese and worst of all the crab rangoons have changed entirely (and become much smaller, both size wise and portion wise). Now they're greasy little hot pockets. I'm so incredibly disappointed. I had just recommended them to a friend and in good faith I can't do that without warning and adjusted expectations.

The food here is always good! I have been coming here for almost 9 years and have never been disappointed. Large portions, friendly service, clean atmosphere. Last visit I had chicken yakisoba my husband had beef pepper steak and we shared an order of egg rolls, the meals were delicious!

    Ramen Noodle Soup(non spice)

Enjoyed the ramen noodle bowl. It came with a delicious broth, plenty of veggies in it and was so big I took some home. The staff was very nice and checked on us often and the store is clean. Not too much room fr seating, just four tables. I can see me stopping by again.

There's vegan options here!!! Affordable at that!! I got the Yakisoba vegan / veggie dish and a couple of Spring rolls. The portion was worth the money and I got super full before I could finish it. Leftovers, yay! Two meals out of one! The two people I spoke to on the phone were actually happy to help and that was nice! Easy to order and no issues, even while doing pick up! Go give it a try! Pro tip: Order extra sauces on the side!

Great kimchi in Sherman? U bet! Great teriyaki too? Absolutely. Mom and pop restaurant, no frills just great food and service.. Definitely worth a stop when you are in Sherman. They have daily specials too

The Teriyaki Jar is a small Japanese restaurant run by a Korean family. We had the Teriyaki and it was excellent. We will have to try some of the other menu items on our next visit. Restaurant is very clean. The only negative is that the plate and utensils are disposable. But that did not seem important after casing the food.

Great food! Our favorite Teriyaki place. Generous servings, friendly service. Not the fanciest place in town, but it is neat & clean!

The food was even more fantastic than it was before. We started with the buratta which was sooo good. I had the chicken with asparagus and she had the salmon on risotto. I am not normally one to eat salmon but I tried a bite of hers and it was amazing. The chicken was juicy and so good with the garlic sauce. For dessert we had the 3 flight with the lemon Bundt, crème brûlée, and chocolate tart. All three were unbelievable. We will be back many times.

I visited on a Saturday evening for an early dinner with my parents and sister. (Side note for Dallas residents: If you're familiar with the Katy Trail, it's worth the drive to see where it all began. When the Katy railroad tracks were removed in Dallas, the trail was born. While Denison doesn't have a trail today, the original depot remains, and it's a lovely place to explore.) The atmosphere at Stafford House is calm and refined, with deep burgundy tones, and brown leather accents lending it a warm, intimate feel. Service was quick, friendly, and attentive. We started with the steak carpaccio appetizer, which was savory and full of flavor. For dinner, the ladies each had the Airline chicken with mushroom risotto, while my father and I ordered the lamb T-bones. I swapped the vegetable medley for sweet potato grits, which were decent but lacked any noticeable sweet potato flavor. Definitely put Stafford House on your must-visit list. It's a beautiful little spot for a quiet, intimate dinner. And don't miss their adjacent bar--it's equally charming and perfect for a pre- or post-dinner cocktai

Inside, the atmosphere is small-town comfort at its best -- casual, welcoming, and the kind of place that instantly makes you feel at home. I ordered the Chicken Bennie, and it was absolutely outstanding. A homemade biscuit served as the base, soft and fluffy on the inside with just the right touch of crisp on the outside. On top of that came perfectly fried chicken tenders, a runny egg that tied everything together, and a generous pour of rich, savory sausage gravy. It all came with a side of crispy fried potatoes that were cooked just right -- golden and flavorful without being greasy. Every bite was pure comfort food perfection. The coffee was smooth and satisfying, the kind that pairs perfectly with a hearty breakfast. Service was excellent as well -- friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind, which made the whole experience even better. You can tell the staff really cares about their customers and their food. Overall, 1836 Café is exactly what you hope to find in a small-town spot: great food, great people, and an atmosphere that keeps you wanting to come back. I'll definitely be returning, and I highly recommend it to anyone passing through or nearby.
