Every visit starts the same for me the fried rice with shrimp, which is always hot, fresh, and packed with flavor. Then I have to follow it up with some fried calamari... crispy, tender, and a perfect appetizer. My go-to sushi roll is the Angry Dragon, and let me tell you, I never stop at just one. If you like bold flavor and great rolls, this one is a must-try. What really keeps us coming back (besides the food) is the service. The staff has always been top-notch friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the menu. They're always happy to answer questions or make recommendations. My sister and I cane for lunch here the other day. It's all you can eat, so it's one flat rate (around $23pp) and you can order anything from the menu throughout the time that you're there. They have a good selection of choices, from things like Sushi, Ramen, Noodles/Rice Dishes, Thai and Japanese meat dishes. It's a lot bigger than I expected, including an outdoor patio. The place had a nice crowd during lunch on the weekday, but we were able to get seated right away. This was our first time, so our server explained how everything worked, then gave us a few minutes to place our first order. Our server was very attentive and came back to check on us often to see if we wanted to order more. My sister and I don't eat sushi, so we focused on the other part of the menu. Some of the dishes we tried were Gyoza, Chicken Karaage, Chicken Katsu, Chicken Curry, Hibachi Steak, Basil Steak, Fried rice, Udon noodles and Pad See Ew. Everything is portioned small, so you can try a large variety. They also told us that if there was something we didn't like, not too worry, just let them know. I liked this because there are some AYCE places that are very strict on leftovers. Luckily for us, we enjoyed it all and finished everything we tried. The ambience and lighting was perfect and the place was intimate, well decorated and smelled amazing! I was greeted by my server, Preston (LOVE THIS GUY! Ask for PRESTON!), who explained to me that it's an "all you can eat" facility with smaller portions where you can order as MANY THINGS as you like! Dinner is around 34 bucks and lunch is only $21! I ended up staying almost two hours! This is a place you go to enjoy and experience FOOD, and atmosphere! The fish is extremely fresh!!!!! Preston took time to ask me questions, knew his menu WELL, and brought me suggestions based on what he could see I was into and even some curiosities that I had! I started with Edamame (a staple!), followed by the Coconut, Corn and Chicken Soup (recommended by Preston), then the Avocado Mango salad, which was followed then by Smoked Salmon Sashimi! Now keep in mind, these are smaller but adequately sized portions; intended for savoring and enjoying! The chef even made me a teddy bear, edible art orange! I also ended up having some seaweed salad, and later, a few rolls that weee perfect for me. Thai N Sushi gives off a very nighttime, evening dinner vibe. There is lots of seating and the service is VERY FAST. I'm talking our food was coming out while we were ordering! Everything we ordered was delicious. The calamari was very chewy and cooked but also crunchy and had a nice kick to it. We also enjoyed the flavor of the fried rice. I have enjoyed shrimp Pad Thai since 1992 and Philadelphia sushi rolls since 1996 at too many restaurants to even try to count. Their Pad Thai to go was so bad I drove it back and asked them to make a Philadelphia roll in exchange. I got it home, gave some to my mom, and it tasted like garbage, so that's where I put it. Inedible. But was well attended. My guess people up here don't know what it is supposed to taste like. I'm from Dallas & Fort Worth and have never experienced such bad food. I will hand it to them, their atmosphere is wonderful. The staff lacked personality. More like zombies. I was very disappointed because I truly wanted to like them so much. But hands down the worst food probably of my life. I will never go back. I did my research since this disappointing experience, twice. I found a place in Sherman that realized that crushed peanuts & bean sprouts are toppings for Pad Thai, with a lime...not lemon AND give you a spicy heat range of 1-3.
