This was my second visit to this Krispy Kreme location in Oxnard. My first time inside, the last time I was here I went through the drive-thru. I wanted to buy some donuts for some friends and I saw that the sign was lit up that they were still making donuts so it was an easy decision for me. I bought two dozens donuts and got one extra one for myself. And then I was on my way. I know with inflation and everything these donuts are no longer as cheap as it was. I'm so old that I remember when they used to be a lot less. I think I might have not been in the right place in the queue. But one of the workers was super nice and took my order. And I ordered two dozen original glazed donuts and that was it. Inside. There's a good amount of tables where you can sit and when the hot now sign is on, you're able to see the conveyor belt crank out all these amazing donuts Once I checked out I immediately ate my donut right away and it was amazing. I was able to find parking right outside. Where can get congested is right at the entrance where shares and exit with McDonald's. Can't get kind of hectic there if everyone's trying to drive in and out of there. But otherwise it's not too bad read more

In my opinion, there is no donut experience to match a Krispy Kreme plain basic glazed donut. Gone forever I suppose are the days when they would give you a free one fresh off of the conveyor belt. It's been a while, time for an updated review. GETTING HERE: Located next to the McDonald's on the corner of RiverPark and Vineyard right by the 101 North onramp. It's across from Starbucks where the old Wendy's (RIP) used to be REVIEW: Call me old-fashioned. But I miss the good old days. When customer service was even minimally common and it was just the norm. I think it's so terribly sad that I would have to request politeness at a business establishment. Where I am spending my time and effort and giving you my money. I should not be treated as if I'm annoying you. I arrived at the drive-through and the girl that answered was speaking so incredibly fast. I could ^not understand her. I asked her three different times if she could please slow down in speaking. Evidently she was attempting to tell me that they had a limited supply of donuts this morning. But once again, I could ^not understand her. There wasn't anything wrong with the speaker. She just was speaking so incredibly fast that I could not understand her. After my third and final attempt of asking her to please speak slowly -when she was telling me the items that she had-she then said to me "I can't hear you " That's it I'm out. The customer is annoying ^you, which is rich, so I'm out. I won't be back. I understand your mileage may vary, and you may have an outstanding customer service experience on ^your visit. Krispy Kreme...making fresh donuts always! I stopped in and they had the Harry Potter edition of donuts just in time for Halloween! I started off ordering two and then I saw the Harry Potter donut box and with a swipe of my magic wand...added a few more donuts from Gryffendor! The service was great and I noticed they had Frappuccino's and in this very hot day..it hit the spot! I love watching the donuts being made and coming off on the conveyor belt. It's magical to me! We are definitely spoiled to have a Krispy Kreme in the 805. I know so many areas that wish they had a KK and drive far to get their hands on it. Sometimes I'm surprised to see that this place isn't more popping but like anything, overtime the hype does die down. Either way I'm glad we have this spot as for an occasional sweet treat, the donuts are a classic. I love the convenience of the drive thru. That is everything to me and a huge factor of why I choose them in the morning over some of the more local coffee and donut shops. Being able to drive thru and get your donuts is such a special perk that it's kept me choosing this location time and time again. So for convenience it's a 5/5 from me. Staff are also always very nice here! Another 5/5. Everyone that works here has always been professional and kind. Since I drive thru I don't get a lot of an interaction but from getting my order taken and then being given my goodies, it's always been a positive experience that's for sure. The food, quality, and inventory is closer to a 3.5-4 stars. I will say their coffee drinks help when you're in a pinch and are sweet and fun. I liked their iced frosty coffees from time to time. Also their classic glaze donut when warm and fresh is a 5/5 all day long. However the rest of the menu and donuts are middle of the road. Since the glaze is the most popular it's usually warm and fresh. However the other options usually don't taste as good. That's just been my experience every-time I try something new. For example their ghostbuster donut I just tried was a 5/5 visually but taste was like a 2.5. Kind of stale and not that great. Also I add that their inventory for their speciality donuts is kind of inconsistent which is a bummer. I came on an early morning to grab their ghostbuster donuts but they only had 2 out of the 4. I'd understand if I came late in the afternoon but coming in the morning I was hopeful they'd have a fresh batch of each which wasn't the case and I'm sure the one I did get was from the night before which was just ok. All in all this is a pretty good chain donut store to drive by and to get your fix. I'm happy with their donuts when they are fresh and the staff are super nice, an easy 4 stars to end on. read more

Unorganized, rude and unprofessional. My parents and I stopped in for some donuts and coffee. The young lady that helped was rude my dad was due to change his money. She proceeded to tell my dad she couldn't give my dad all the change because she doesn't have it. Although it was only pennies it was the way she said that made feel super rude. The line was unorganized I waited 10 minutes in line only for them to totally skip when approached that I was skipped she gave us attitude. After waiting forever for our donuts and coffee we sat down this young lady then told us the store was closing that we had to wrap up our stuff and go. Not a good experience and will be visiting that store again anytime soon. read more

I have only gone through their drive thru, so I can't speak about what the inside is like, but I haven't had any issues. The line wasn't long on a Monday afternoon. I placed my oder without a problem. The person taking my order seemed polite and helpful. The donuts were delicious. My family and I have tried a couple of different of their donuts but I love their simply glazed donuts. My husband loves their lemon glazed donut and my kids love any of their donuts. I went to Krispy Kreme on my birthday, expecting a fun and pleasant visit... but it ended up being stressful from start to finish. The staff member seemed like he was in a rush to leave and barely cared about helping. I ordered the special Pac-Man combo, paid for it, and only afterward he told me one of the donuts was unavailable. I had to go back, pick a different one, and deal with his total lack of interest. To make things worse, he barely spoke proper English, using lots of slang and making communication difficult. Instead of being helpful, he acted like he was doing me a favor. Bad service is annoying on any day -- but on your birthday, it's just plain disappointing. What was supposed to be a cool little birthday treat turned into a hassle. Placed an online order 7 days in advance so you know, the order would be ready? Right? WRONG. I showed up about 30 minutes before hand because I figured I would have to wait a little bit, no big deal. The answer from the 'manager' (she couldn't manage a box of rocks) was 'oh we dont have them do you want a refund or something else?' .... no. I'd like what I ordered a week ago, you've had plenty of time to make sure it's made and on time. I get back this bewildered look of confusion and then again, well we can have them ready by noon. Again, no. I placed an order for a 9am pickup so I could get on with my day, the order was for a birthday party so noon was definitely not going to work. As a manager, this person should have reviewed the orders that were due that day but nope, like many others say - this place is just a straight up MISS. Not sure what all of the fuss is about, have had much better donuts many other places. Also super expensive, was charged $2.89 for a single super small sprinkle doughnut. Service at this place is a hit or miss. I highly recommend teaching these kids to do what's best for the customers. I ordered three doughnuts and instead of charging me for the pack of three doughnuts which is an option, I got charged for each doughnut individually. Who doesn't enjoy a doughnut from time to time? This Oxnard location is one of my favorite customer service experiences in the local food industry. So, doughnuts and good service? Yes, please! The shop is remarkably clean. You enter to a hand sanitizer station. It always smells and feels like it was just cleaned. The employees always greet me within seconds. They also give me great guidance on their products. My favorite is the birthday cake doughnut that an associate recommended. They have coffee and iced/frozen drink treats too. There is also bottled water and sodas. The doughnuts are delicious. They are very sweet but so fresh. They are made throughout the day, so a hot doughnut is routinely available. I'm not one for negative reviews but dang Krispy Kreme you have zero idea on how to run this location. Nasty donuts all over the floor. The hot and fresh conveyor belt was running and half the donuts coming down the line were an absolute disaster! At the end of the line they were just falling off the belt onto the floor and no one seemed to care. There were old donuts sitting on top of the machines and glaze everywhere on the floor. The employees had zero care of the upkeep or outlook it carried to the customers. I have to say this is easily one of the worst coffee experiences I've ever had. I decided to go through drive-thru and grab a quick breakfast (donuts) with a cup of coffee, but that turned into a bigger headache than needed. First off, I ordered a large iced coffee and the server kept questioning why I didn't want anything in the coffee. I had to literally repeat I just wanted a "iced black coffee" with no sugar, no sweetener, no flavor and for whatever reason she kept pushing for me to add flavors to the coffee. I then attempted to order a couple of different flavors for donuts, but my first couple of choices they were out at 7 AM! Eventually I was able to select two choices. Despite no one being in the store and no one ahead of me, it seemed like a while before the cashier even made it up to the drive-thru window. I've worked in service industries and I understand you sometimes get distracted, but there are literally no customers anywhere and yet it seemed like a huge inconvenience. They hand me my "large coffee" that looks like a grande at 99% of all coffee places. Apparently if you want iced coffee they shortchange you because I've definitely ordered large hot coffees from them in the past and it was a typical Venti/20 Oz/ Large size. I pre-ordered the special Easter donuts 12 days before Easter. When I picked them up Saturday night, the night before Easter, I was not informed that they ran out of the specialty donuts. Had I known that, I would not have driven from Moorpark to Oxnard at 10pm. I also should have been told when I picked them up because what I ordered wasn't in the boxes. I think there were 4 different donuts included in the spring/ Easter mix but I only received one of the Easter themed donuts and just regular donuts to fulfill the number of donuts. I know it's not the end of the world, but the kids were looking forward to cute donuts. This is exactly why chains restaurants should move to automated systems... the staff (all kids) here -are absolutely pointless. They all walk around like they're lost, don't communicate and then have an attitude when asked to do work. They start on walk in and drive thru orders prior to completing pre orders. Change out the trash with the same gloves they move the loaded trays and work the register. We cam here for the Reese's filled donuts.. Both were kinda blah. Check out the pictures and you'll see why. There was practically no peanut buttery filling inside the donut. We also tried the original filled donuts, and those seemed better with the filling. The Reese's donuts were our prime reason for coming here and we were disappointed. The doughnuts here are way overrated and overpriced. They often feature promotions involving special donuts that are only available on a select date. You can sign up on their website and you will get emails letting you know about these specials. You might luck out and get something nice, but my general experience is that if you're in the mood for a donut, you can do much better elsewhere. The one nice thing here is that they do have a drive through, so you don't have to go inside and worry about people sneezing and coughing on you. That is especially welcome right now during the pandemic. I don't know of any other donut places that do that. read more
