I haven't had a krispy kreme donut in probably close to 15 years. As I was driving past Erie, I knew I had to make a stop. I should definitely go to Erie more often. I walked in and there was only a short line but it moves fast. Everyone always loves watching the conveyor belts with the fresh donuts being made. It's such a cool vibe to be able to watch them make each donut from scratch. I got to the front of the line and just ordered a traditional dozen donuts. Then something happened that I NEVER would have expected. The staff member said, "Would you like another dozen for 16 cents?" I was caught so off guard that another dozen was only SIXTEEN CENTS, that I made him repeat it just to make sure I heard him right. I was absolutely floored but I knew I would be dumb to say no to this deal. Long story short, I left with 24 donuts and had no idea how I would eat them all. Luckily, I was heading home to a full house of visitors and family who would help. I know they're just donuts but they feel like a special treat and they are so delicious. I am a frequent visitor of Krispy Kreme!! Usually LOVE it. Today- not so much. We had a coupon for buy one dozen get one glazed dozen for 2$. We had a younger girl employee (high school aged) who was very not pleasant and cold. She looked annoyed that we walked into the store. The glazed donuts were definitely a day old and they were very cold- almost like they were in the refrigerator? Needless to say they weren't fresh and not the best batch :( after a 3 hour drive, we were hoping for more. However their new glazed filled donut was INSANE. I really loved it and it'll be a new go- to. I think their long John needs to be glazed then chocolate frosted- it's lack luster now. Stopped here after one on a Sunday afternoon. Still missing the one in Buffalo. They were making the doughnuts so the kids got to see the process from start to finish. It smelled heavenly inside! We had the coupon for 2 dozen for $20 & left with 5 dozen....doughnuts for everyone. Glazed doughnuts have never been a favorite of mine but theirs are melt in your mouth good. The line was long but went really fast. One person checked you out and another bagged. We were in 2 cars so 2 dozen went in one and 3 in the other. On our way home from a family vacation, we stopped in to grab a dozen donuts. The older woman was very unpleasant. She never greeted us. I told her we wanted to purchase a dozen donuts. She grabbed the box and waited for us to tell her what we wanted. She didn't speak to us at all. I asked her if they were making more cinnamon rolls, and all she could do was nod. "No." My poor son wanted to order more, but was so intimidated by her demeanor that he was afraid to ask. The name on our receipt was Bonnie. We visit here every year on our way home from vacation. It's truly unfortunate that this was our experience. It is something that we look forward to since there are not any locations near our home. The bathrooms were not clean and the lobby floors were sticky. The donuts were yummy as always, and that's the reason for my 3 star rating. read more

Went to krispy kreme at 720 on a Friday morning hoping to get hot fresh glaze doughnuts, the sign out front was lit, when I got to the pickup window employee was handing me the doughnuts seemed to quick for boxing the doughnuts. I asked him if they were hot and fresh he replied yes sir got home doughnuts were cold and not fresh at all. Last two times going there were not a good experience either . Sunday afternoon 3:00 pm. Very limited donuts left. Appears the location is a factory too for other venues as Kristy Kreme trucks outside and multiple carts filled with donuts being shipped into the trucks. Half the inside dining area was blocked off for the carts. Everyone walking in decided not to get the few leftover donuts in the store and left. Obviously the store favors their commercial orders than their walk in customers. They were not stocking donuts for the counter. I was so sad when this chain left the Buffalo area . The donuts are light and fluffy but still full of flavor . They still have the conveyor belt running , ensuring you get a fresh hot one ! I was interested in their pumpkin spice dozen with 4 different varieties , pumpkin glazed , pumpkin pecan , pumpkin cake and pumpkin cheesecake . They were all delicious! I won't lie- Krispy Kreme donuts aren't too shabby for a chain store option. Indy's Long's Donuts will always be number one in my book but this was a good alternative when we were craving fresh and hot donuts on a recent road trip. The drive thru process was smooth and our classic glazed donuts hit the spot. Note- iced coffee here is ridiculously sugared- not just "iced coffee". Not surprising but figured its worth mentioning. Coming back from Cleveland and saw the Hot Sign on, had to take that exit and pick me up some Original Glazed Krispy Kreme. Upon entering a few patrons were ahead of me. Everyone behind the counter was working hard jamming out boxes of doughnuts so the line went pretty fast. Welp, when you're driving by a stand-alone Krispy Kreme store on a roadtrip on New Years Day, you press the pause button on those resolutions. ;-) We're Buffalo NY natives, a fantastic donut town no doubt, but one where Krispy Kreme closed all of its doors many years ago. And to pour salt in those wounds, the last-standing former Krispy Kreme building here turned into a vitamin store! Oh, the blasphemy! :-P But only about an hour and a half from Buffalo NY ... the Erie PA Krispy Kreme still stands, and still shines on, like a beacon of sprinkles-and-glaze-covered-hope. :-D We recently passed through Erie on our way to Cleveland, and made a New Year's Eve stop at this Krispy Kreme. It sits in a large shopping complex, with easy-in from a traffic light, and plenty of lot parking. The store itself was bright and clean. Krispy Kreme is definitely my favorite chain-store donut. They still make them here fresh daily. You can surely taste the difference between these super-fresh babies, and what you get trucked in at Dunkin' or Tims. Krispy Kreme donuts are airy, springy, and light, with a soft dough that is so fresh it bounces back with each bite. They are so fluffy and soft, it is definitely easy to slide down one, or five, they just go down that smooth. So be warned. There are about a couple dozen flavors to choose from. The signature glazed Krispy Kreme donut is their most well-known, and if you are lucky enough to be in the store when they are coming off of the assembly line warm, GET A GLAZED. A warm Krispy Kreme glazed is an experience unto itself! Other flavors include various frosted with sprinkles, various frosted and filled with creme or custard, sugared with jelly fillings, and some cake donuts. They have regular and mini-sized donuts, too. Krispy Kreme also does an assortment of coffee beverages and teas, both hot and cold, and other basics like sodas and waters. Regarding beverages and some room for improvement, please include a dairy-free milk option. Krispy Kreme currently doesn't offer any plant-based milks. A vegan donut is probably a tall order since they are making these fresh in store, and use the same dough on the same line to make a variety of different options. I don't expect that. But if the coffee drinks could have a dairy-free option, that would be a nice offering to plant-based folks dragged in by their dairy-families, haha. We loved our New Year's Eve stop so much at this Krispy Kreme, we stopped again on the way home on New Years Day to sweeten our teeth one more time, and bring a dozen home for my parents. This time, the donut conveyor belt was running! It is MESMERIZING to see the donuts go up and down the donut elevator, dive into the oil vat, swim onto the conveyor belt, and go through the waterfall of milky white glaze. It is one of my favorite forms of entertainment. :-D If you are in the Erie PA area, and have no sugar or dairy dietary restrictions, Krispy Kreme is well worth the stop for a satisfying sweet treat. I'd say to Krispy Kreme please move back to Buffalo NY, but it is probably best we keep an hour and a half buffer between us. I've been going to this location for many years, stopping in on my way to Pittsburgh or to Ohio. These folks know how to make a good hot glazed donut. The flavor is always perfect as well as the outside crispiness. The creme filled glazed donut as well as the chocolate cake donut are also my favorites. The place is pretty clean, though their restrooms are looking a bit rundown now. The hand soap dispenser wouldn't even work when I was there this weekend. We need lots of soap when we have sticky fingers from eating your donuts! I decided to get a coffee which I deep down knew how it would end- and here I sit with a 3 piece and a large coffee. I picked a chocolate Kreme pie, strawberry sprinkle (Simpson's donut), and a blueberry hard frosted. As far as the coffee- they didn't have bold made and ready- which sucks. I have been to this location four different times in the last three months, attempting to use a gift card that I purchased. Each time, I was denied the opportunity to use it. The excuse is, "The system is down." Um, no. Not for three months. Sorry, that's a lie. What happened essentially is that I have made a donation to Krispy Kreme. I live about an 1 1/2 away but we come to this Krispy Kreme about once a month or so as we don't have one at home and every time we do...bad attitudes abound from the employees. I understand it gets busy and stuff but if you don't have customers you can't have a business. The attitudes were so bad when we visited yesterday afternoon (9/11/22) that it was uncomfortable to be in there. One girl was getting the donuts for customers and was rolling her eyes at everyone, unacceptable. This isn't a one time thing though, as I stated the employees are always miserable, from the looks on their faces to how they speak to customers. I hate it bad. read more

My donut lover friends and I paid a visit to this location from Buffalo. We talked about it all year and finally got a chance to go this summer. We were so entertained by the conveyer belt of dough proving, frying, glazing, and packaging. We also got free and (fresh!) samples straight from the machine. We intended to just get 3 dozen but after our initial purchase, the bottom of the receipt had a survey to get a BOGO original dozen, so of course we filled out the survey. Alas, the four of us took home 5 dozen assorted + original, fluffy, soft donuts. The employee who assisted us were so patient as we decided on what to pick. No regrets. If you're in the area, you must pay a visit to Krispy Kreme and taking home the signature Krispy Kreme paper hats as a souvenir- it's a tourist attraction in itself. read more

Wonderful to watch the fresh hot donuts coming down the line, getting glazed, some continuing on to filling stations, some getting boxed for shipment to stores, and the final happiness of getting a warm glazed delicious, melt-in-your mouth Krispy Kreme original glazed donut, one per day free of charge with COVID-19 vaccine proof, until 12/31/2021. When you order one doughnut and a drink you would think it would be easy to get the simple order correct. But apparently my assumption was wrong. I ordered a Diet Coke with no ice and an original glazed. When I got my items, I had a regular Pepsi chock full of ice and a doughnut with chocolate glaze and sprinkles. The person was unapologetic when I made them aware of the mistake. In fact, they asked what I would like them to do so I said "give me the doughnut that I ordered". The prices are also pretty steep for fairly small doughnuts. I enjoyed my doughnut, but would hope for something a little more substantial for almost $1.50. Overall, a bit of a disappointment and probably someplace I won't return to. read more

Like come on now it's krispy kreme for the amount of damn sugar that goes on those donuts don't you think your size medium drinks should be a bit larger. I think so- And it also doesn't help that i asked for EXTRA napkins and they gave me about 5 when i ordered a big ass order. Overall, dunkin on top. Of course the doughnuts are delicious. But the staff is majorly inconvenienced by having guests. And do not even bother ordering a drink- they are out of ice. So if you instead order a hot latte it's served with attitude and huffing. It was such a massive inconvenience that I ended up just cancelling the latte portion of my order.
