Perfect Little Snack Stop.... After spending the day out on the boat at Crab Island, we stopped by Krispy Kreme around 3pm for a quick snack. The donuts weren't hot and fresh at that time of day, but they were ready to go, which was exactly what we needed. The drive-through was such a nice touch and made it incredibly easy to grab something without having to get out and wait around. The employees were friendly, knowledgeable, and kept the line moving quickly, which we really appreciated. Nothing complicated, just an easy and convenient stop after a day on the water. We don't have Krispy Kreme where we live so I took my boys here for the first time on our Destin vacation. They loved it!!! They let them have a freshly made donut for free, then we bought a dozen glazed plus a few extras. The glazed are 10/10. One of my sons enjoyed the strawberry donut and another the chocolate glazed with white cream inside. The cookie batter wasn't that great though - too sweet. The coffee is good! Service was great. I received an email on July 7th telling me I could buy a dozen Original Glazed donuts for 1/2 price every Thursday night between 6-10 pm through Sept 1st if I mentioned the code "SUMMERNIGHTS." I drove to Destin Fl from my home in Ft Walton Beach (1.5 hours round trip) in holiday traffic) and stood in line for 15 minutes to take advantage of this special. Yes, I like Krispy Kreme! When I asked for the special, the clerk said they would not honor it because they did not send the email. She said others have come in for the special and they told them the same thing. No discount. The store manager said the same thing. "We won't honor it." That will be the LAST time I go to the Destin location. I'm sure they don't care that they lost my business forever. They could have managed the situation differently, but they chose to lose a local's business over $5.00. Duncan Donuts is the winner. read more

They spoke to us so ugly and rude when trying to order donuts. We felt SO uncomfortable and unwelcome. They were rude to the customers they served after us as well. None of the donuts were labeled, so you had to guess what was in them or get yelled out by the employee for not picking fast enough. My family ALWAYS goes to KK when we are on vacation if we see the hot sign on. Over several states and locations we have never had such poor service & it was NOT covid related. We arrived. Q couple outside, 1 car in the drive through and us. There were 5 workers. We were polite but the workers couldn't care to even be nice to us, they only talked among themselves and every thing we asked or needed we were ignored or acted like we were inconvenience them. 7pm on labor day. 9 of my 12 donuts were smooshed or stabbed while being boxed & normally I wouldn't care but we were so excited to go in & see the donuts being made & the cashier didn't even wait around long enough for me to get a receipt. This location does not give a free glazed doughnut when the sign is on. Most locations push a doughnut at you before you have a chance to speak.
