Right off 98 is this grand little outdoor seated ice cream parlor. They have plenty of shade, so you won't get fried as you eat. They have so much to choose from, so I suggest looking at the menu before you get there. It only took a maximum of 10 minutes from when we arrived to when we got our sweet treats. We took our granddaughter there after the beach to get ice creams and we needed to go to the bathroom as well. We asked where is your bathroom please. We were told they had no public restroom. My husband asked where are you supposed to wash your hands to be told we can give you a wet wipe. Walking back to the car I peed my pants trying to get into the car to find a restroom. It was horribly embarrassing. My husband googled it and according to Florida state law if they serve any type of food they are required to provide a public restroom. We always go to Brusters when visiting Destin. Its a favorite for our whole family and we enjoy it so much. Our last visit they mixed up sizing on mine and my husbands icecream, but it wasnt that big of an issue so we let it slide. All of our icecreams were good, and the cones were fresh. My son got a cookie and absolutely loved it. Im so glad they had it as an option, especially a trex dino cookie because its his favorite. We never eat onsite, so i cant really speak for the comfort of eating there. They do have picnic style tables to sit and enjoy your cones. Its usually always highschool or college aged kids running the store, but they seem to do a pretty good job and are quick. read more
