Got grossed out so my wife and baby and I left. We told one of the workers what happened and they said it wasn't licked. I told her to watch the surveillance footage. Hard pass today. Kilwin's is the only place I get caramel apples from as their caramel is consistently great no matter where in the country I stop. I would have typically given this location at least 4 stars based on my last visit but the last few apples were very mushy. Both were bought at the same time and eaten 1 day apart. At first, I thought it was just an old apple as it didn't have the usual sweet and sour crispness of the traditional Granny Smith. For some reason they used Golden Delicious apples. Please don't do that ever again! It's just not the same and this is the only Kilwin's I have been to that did this. Having said that the store is big, bright and smells like heaven! read more

Incredibly poor customer service. I've been a loyal Rehoboth Beach Kilwin's customer for over 10 years. After checking the Destin location closing time (9pm) online, we rushed to get to Kilwin's before they closed. Our group of 12 arrived at 8:34 and the store manager immediately turned off the lights. We knocked on the door and the manager told us the store closed at 8:30. We told her that the Kilwin's website, google, and Yelp all have the closing time as 9:00pm. The manager refused to open for us. We were all incredibly disappointed as we were chanting "Kilwin's, Kilwins..." in the car on the way. This situation could have been handled much better. The manager could have honored the time on the website or the website could have been updated. Turning off the lights and turning us away was the worst way to handle the situation. read more

That's probably bc I only get it on vacation so that's my excuse, lol. Not only do they have ice cream, they also have a ton of other goodies. ICE CREAM: 5 I tried two different flavors before settling on the New Orleans Pecan Praline ice cream. The contrast between the cream and the crunch (of the pecan pralines) made the experience so balanced. The taste resembles the pralines from River Street in Savannah, so I would say it was pretty spot on! SERVICE: 5++ I don't recollect the name of our server, and it was probably because he made the experience all about us that all so remember is how well he took care of us! He started out by introducing the special sales they were having, and then gave us a chance to try all the ice cream flavors we wanted to! I recommend toasted coconut. It's my personal favorite. I get it on top of their s'mores ice cream. It is delectable. In a cone or in a bowl it doesn't matter. Additionally, they sell handmade candies, corns and novelties. I'm always tempted to buy a caramel apple but my hands are full with ice cream!
