We stumbled upon Krasa when it immediately popped up as a burger place in the area. I had never even heard of it before! You walk in and place your order with the cashier. They had multiple burger options and other wraps, sides. I opted for the cheeseburger which I felt was very fairly priced at around $9. We also ordered the cheese fries and parmesan truffle fries. Water cups are available as well. The sit down spot is really cute and there's also an outdoor patio area. For the food, I thought it was a good burger but not one that was making me jump for joy. The fries were nice and crispy but I felt there was a touch of an aftertaste. It was overall a good experience with a good priced cheeseburger. The casual atmosphere and ambiance really stood out the most with Krasa for me.

If you're looking for a creative twist on shawarma, you have to try the Chicken Chicago Shawarma at KRASA Craft Restaurant. The chicken is perfectly cooked and the Ukrainian-style garlic mayo sauce is amazing. I love how the honey mustard and cheddar cheese add a sweet and savory touch, while the pickles and cabbage keep everything fresh and crunchy. Highly recommend!

This is a neat little restaurant. The front of it is covered in artifical green foliage. You cant miss it. There is metered street parking out front and within a reasonable walking distance. The woman that took my order was friendly and helpful. They have a small inside dining area and a decent sized patio area. part of the patio can be enclosed and has a fireplace for the cooler days. The other section of the patio is open air. The patio is adorned by a bunch of different green plants that run down the walls. As an added bonus, they have a complimentary water station The restaurant has music playing throughout the patio and dining area and is dimly lit. They serve some unique and exotic burgers including : the Flame Burger, the Blue Burger, the Hawaiian Burger, and the Belly Buster. They also have shawarma (spicy, Chicago, Teriyaki, and UA Classic). And if you looking for an adult beverage, they serve beer and wine here. I ordered the Sweet Burger, which came with fries. It only took a little over 5 minutes for me to get my food. It was fresh and may not have been the best that I have had, but it still was good. I would eat here again, if I ever find myself back in Chi-town. It is a chill/low key restaurant, with decent food.

I never knew a burger could taste this scrumptious!!! This place really popped off with both the vibes and the food. You walk in and pay at an unassuming counter. When you walk further in, you're presented with the coolest vine/plant/wood themed decor with a koi fish pond in the middle. In the back, there is a surrounded outdoor dining space. I got the mushroom burger (which comes with teriyaki sauce, mushrooms, a medium patty, goat cheese and arugula), and my friend got the teriyaki shawarma. The burger was so juicy, and the cheese and arugula paired/cut through perfectly with the saltiness of the patty! The fries were just okay, pretty standard - though the garlic sauce it came with was delicious!

Super delicious and unique. I got the teriyaki wrap which was delicious as well as the cheese fries. The person who took my order was very friendly. They have a great outdoor patio area and a great overall vibe.

Loved this burger. The beef was well-seasoned and juicy, and the bun was soft but not too heavy. The sauce gave it a nice tangy touch, and the cheese was perfectly melted. The portion was generous, and every bite was satisfying. Would definitely come back for another.

#2 Spicy Shawarma and Mushroom Burger with #Truffle Fries

This is the second time I came here and I would say the wrap is delicious. The chicken is well seasoned and the wrap is so thin where you don't get stuff with carb. I got the spicy chicken shawarma and my boyfriend got the mushroom burger. Street parking. There is indoor seating. The employee is very friendly, the first time I order my food to go they even write a note on the bag and pack two gum for us.

Have you ever eaten on a lawn? If not, you can at this restaurant. Lawn has a grass theme. Better to go when it's warmer, then you'll want to be seated outside at the grassy tables and have a burger. There's meaty burgers as well as plant based, along with Philly steaks. A pretty unique kind of restaurant and it kind of reminds me of having a picnic in the park because of the grass. It was a warmer day so we thought to come here. This place specializes in burgers, and they have all kinds. Burgers need to come with a drink. The beer selection is okay. It's pretty basic. The burgers are the main thing. Each of us got the Veggie Burger. It's about $13 for a big one. This came with arugula and sesame teriyaki sauce. Good and filling. The buns are kind of big, which ends up making it feel like you're eating a lot. Cool place to get some beers and burgers. It's not cheap for sure but you'll get good quality in return. There's a ton of burgers to choose from and it even has one for vegans and vegetarians.

At the spur of the moment, I visited 'Lawn Craft Hamburger' while in the area in search of a place for eats. I initially discovered Lawn Craft off of Upside application which offered a 6% cash back offer for purchases. Other than that, it was its outdoor lawn dining feature with tables consisting of actual growing grass that intrigued me to visit. Options for parking are either along N Ashland Ave or within the neighborhood. During this visit, I was fortunate enough to find a parking spot right outside of the restaurant along N Ashland Ave which was pay by the plate. And it costs no more than $1.87 for no more than 45 minutes which I did not use entirely because I was in-and-out. Likely on a different date when in an extroverted mood, I will dine-in to get the full outdoor lawn experience. Other than the group ordering ahead of me, Lawn Craft Hamburger was near empty! Per, Google, I noted that it typically picks up business during the mid-evening hours which I have no interest in visiting during. And for your information, Lawn Craft appears more as a fast casual style of a restaurant. Atmosphere: 4 (Good) I was acknowledged to order as soon as the employee was finished with the group ahead of me. I ended up ordering a Cheeseburger replaced with an Impossible veggie patty w/ Sprite. On the menu, there were only three burgers replaceable with the 'Impossible' veggie patty which were the Cheeseburger, the Mushroom Burger, and the Blue Burger. No more than 10 minutes, I was alerted via a buzzing/vibrating pager given that my order was completed which worked out well. Service: 5 (Great) I enjoyed each bite until the last of the "Impossible" veggie patty which could have passed as a real hamburger. Along with the veggie patty, I enjoyed the Truffle parmesan fries as well. Speaking of the Truffle parmesan fries, I was shocked to find them inside of my bag because all I ordered was the "Impossible" veggie patty w/ Sprite. Likely, the next time I visit Lawn Craft, I will order them now that I have an idea what they taste like, which was far from a disappointment. Food: 4 (Good) Being that I had a good experience, I would gladly order from Lawn Craft Hamburger again whenever in Wicker Park or Ukrainian Village area which I do frequently visit. I went to this place just based on the photos I saw online and I'm so glad I judged a book by its cover because this burger was ! The seating area is fun and refreshing and quirky, giving you a fun option to sit at a table with a grass growing tabletop. There is a clawfoot bath tub with fish swimming around and the ambience makes for a lovely experience while trying not to look like an animal eating the most delicious and messy burger ever! They let you BYOB which is awesome, and they do offer non-alcoholic beverages. One of thr best burgers I've ever had came from here and I cannot wait to go back. read more

Burgers were incredibly tasty. Eating on grassy tables was a unique experience. There were no bug issues while we were there, but I could see that being a problem. All in all, this is cute hidden spot with very good food and welcoming staff. The kids loved it, so we'll be back. There's a ping pong table in the back too. read more

The rating of 3 is because of the burger but I do recommend the patio for some drinks and fries. Keep reading for details. Vibe (5/5): this is a small, cute, order at the counter restaurant. There is a super small indoor section with a fish tank made out of a bath tub. The best park is this hidden outdoor patio. Menu (3/5): if you are someone who reads the menu before arriving a few things to be aware of. Online it states they are BYOB but this is no longer true. Additionally all prices are incorrect on the menu online. For the food- we got two different burgers with the truffle Parmesan fries and cheese fries. The fries are the double fried French fries and they were great! The burgers were over cooked and had too many toppings to mask the flavorless patty. This place is cute but the food wasn't the best. I do recommend coming for the patio and fries. read more

The most unique and delicious burger place in Chicago has to go to @lawn.craft.hamburger . You will enjoy burgers on a table that's actually a lawn of grasses and be surrounded by plants and a living wall of greens! UA wrap had good crunch from pickled cabbage combined with generous sauce and chicken. Various seating options including indoor or courtyard. They must have had a change in management or something because I had heard so many good things about this place. When we finally tried it this weekend, our pickup order was ready when we walked in; we noted the new Shwarma sign outside and the new 'Test Menu' with schwarma at the counter. Just like the other person mentioned, the burger was wrapped in foil paper, which wouldn't be a problem if my burger had any flavor at all. The patty was akin to some cheap patty from a random grocery store with some okay toppings on top. The fries were $4 and $5 for small bag of them with some sauce. read more

I've been to this street address for four different restaurants: Authentaco, Flip, Wilson's Dogs, and now Lawn Hamburger. The food is always great, and with Lawn I think this Philly Cheesesteak really nails it. The burger was good--we tried the Handsome Burger, which was fine--but the Cheesesteak was soaked in meat juices, cheese, and happiness. Just looking at it added a pound or two, and that was before I put it in my mouth...what little I could get down, because the half that I got from my wife barely held together. That isn't a bad thing. The fries were great, and the space really is unique--tables with an actual patch of grass. That isn't for me, but it's cool looking; I opted to sit inside. $30.31 for two sandwiches and a combo on one of those makes Lawn a tough price proposition--you are thinking this should be a quick round of burgers and fries, but everything costs more nowadays so be ready for that moment when you drop a credit card. Good stuff. Hoping this one stays in business...of course, I've said that before, so milk it while you can people! read more

I've been wanting to go here for a while and decided to finally stop in. The woman who took my order was so friendly and helpful with my questions. The dining area was pretty quiet as it was a Sunday evening which was nice. It didn't take more than 10 minutes for the burger to be prepared. The burger was cooked well and everything was correct, but I can't say that it was outstanding like all the other reviews say. It was good, but not great. I had been wanting to try Lawn for quite some time. I'm glad I finally did. I ordered online and found it to be super easy. The menu is straightforward and simple to scroll through their offerings. Online sandwich orders are required to purchase the meal option only. No problem, the meal comes with french fries and a soda. They offer truffle and cheese fries also. Once you place your order it gives you regular updates like "business has received the order" and gives a pick up time to the exact minute. The place is much smaller and darker than I expected. The happy greenery on the outside turns dark and sultry as you walk in. Black walls, tons of plants and pink lights create a unique atmosphere. You can see the guy making burgers and smell the grilling onions. It felt like a diner and a nightclub had a baby and created Lawn! The young girl at the counter was so sweet and helpful. She was friendly and very gracious. My order was ready as I walked in but I had to wait for a few customers to place their orders. Since I took my food to go I'm only guessing but it looked like counter service and then you go grab yourself a table. The back patio looked really nice. I would enjoy sitting outside if I were eating my meal there. The cheese sauce was great but very unique, so be prepared. The Simply Burger has tarasa sauce. There is a hint of seasoning on the burgers too. I usually prefer my burger simple but it still tasted great. It was fantastic to see they offer veggie burgers too! The food portions are huge. A big burger and tons of fries - big enough to share. The decent price point makes a great value. I would definitely recommend! read more

The French fries alone are reason for 5 stars! They have perfectly cooked, crispy outside/soft inside, hot, flavorful fries! Though the chicken Philly isn't authentic, it tastes delish! We also really loved the vegan burger with onions, arugula & herb Mayo! The veggie burger definitely has a teriyaki sauce, so if you don't like sweet teriyaki then sub or avoid. This building has overturned owners way too many times. I love seeing a great concept move in. When we went, they had indoor and outdoor patio dining. read more

We were going to hit up our third taco place on our NYE pregame but they were closed and we pulled over to restrategize. We park in front of this place, look up the menu and reviews and say "change of plans". Noice options for burgers at a decent price. Loved the option of the impossible burger! The place is super cute and the music was bumpin. I could see the back patio area being really cool in the summer. Food came out very quick and was AMAZING!! I got the Hi Honey, and the man's got the Flame burger. Every aspect of each burger was phenomenal. Big here! read more

I went here with a friend on Monday for the first time. It started off really well because I walked in and there was a bowl of candy (the good kind) LoL. I ordered a cheeseburger and my friend order the mushroom burger with the impossible patty--both with fries. She also added pickles to her burger. Upon receiving the burgers we noticed there were no pickles. Instead of just giving us the pickles (keep in mind that's only 3-4 circle size slices) the woman taking the order pulled up my receipt to make sure I paid for them (which I did) and asked me multiple times if I was sure there were no pickles on the burger--I answered "yes, I'm sure". Unfortunately, that was not enough. She had me go back to the table and bring the burger so I could prove it to her--I did. Even as I write this, I realize just how humiliating that was because I KNOW it had everything to do with the color of my skin. She thought I was lying about having pickles (that I paid to add) on my burger. Pickles, guys--pickles!!! That was the first problem. Fast forward, we're eating our food. My friend states that the texture of her burger seems "weird". Keep in mind, I asked more than once if they (the restaurant) were sure they got the orders correct because she was vegan. They said yes. Well, they DID NOT!!! My friend had not eaten beef in over 15 years and the one times she does it's not even HER CHOICE! So, I went to take the burgers back to the front and the cashier apologized and blamed the chef. She said he wasn't focused--which I saw for myself so I knew she was not lying because he was too busy socializing. She then stated and I quote, "I can make you new burgers free of charge." I truly did not understand that line of thinking because why on GOD's green earth would I pay YOU to FIX a mistake that I did not make. That made no sense. I requested a refund but she still had the burgers remade. She was honestly more remorseful than the chef and he was the one cooking the food. On the way out, he was at the front so I stated to him, " Big mistake man, she hadn't eaten beef in over 15 years." He looked us dead in the eyes with a goofy sarcastic grin on his face, threw up his hands and shrugged his shoulders. He SHRUGGED his shoulders! I could not believe it. As a foodie, this was one of the WORST EXPERIENCES I've ever had. If I could give negative stars, I would. And to top it all off, the burger wasn't even good. It was extremely dry. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Very disappointing first experience with Lawn Restaurant. I ordered online for pickup and my food was ready 20-25 minutes after the estimated time. When my son entered to pickup our food, the cashier mistakenly told him that he had not paid for our order. They made him pay for someone else's order. Fortunately, the cashier later realized that my son paid for the other person's order and the other customer ended up paying my son back. The food was okay, but not worth the extra wait and poor customer experience. When we arrived home with the food, I realized that they put American cheese on my cheesesteak even though I paid extra for provolone. Of course, any restaurant makes mistakes. But, my experience certainly doesn't give me any incentive to return. I even included a 10% tip when I placed my order...maybe I didn't tip enough? read more

This. is. the. spot. for. burgers. Go, just go. Its BYOB so remember your beer. The staff is amazing and super friendly. The burgers are delicious hamburgers and their truffle fries are a must. Its better than Au Cheval, Kumas, or Fatso's. SERIOUSLY. Its a very chill, patio space with everything you want to hang out and have a solid good FRESH burger. You also get to choose your buns. I was hungry and hadn't had any breakfast. Stopped here after picking up something at the nearby Lowe's. Holy sh#t did I make a great decision. Definitely the best burger I have had in Chicago. The best veggie burger I've had in this city so far! What makes this place stand out is the flexibility to swap any burger patty on the menu with an Impossible Meat option. This thoughtful approach not only caters to those like me who don't eat meat but also ensures that I get to taste the same flavor as anyone else who eats here. Food: I tried the Sweet Burger and added caramelized onions, paired with the Truffle Parmesan Fries. The combination was a flavor explosion--absolutely a 5/5. Atmosphere: The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between modern and natural, with a foresty vibe that I really appreciated. There's ample seating both indoors and outdoors, plus easily accessible complimentary water. Another 5/5. This place doesn't mess around... they produce some tasty juicy burgers! The size of the burgers was big enough to fill us up for lunch. I ordered the cheeseburger with extra pickle. The pickles were huge and I loved the sauce that came on the burger. The truffle parmesan fries were perfectly cooked and very flavorful. I had to get an Allagash White to wash it all down with because I just can't pass up Allagash when I see it. The seating area is very eclectic; grass covered tables in the back and a bathtub full of koi fish. They have great food and atmosphere in spades!!! read more

I recently tried the burger at Lawn in Chicago, and I have to say it was one of the best burgers I've ever had. The patty was cooked to perfection, juicy and flavorful. The bun was soft and held together well, and the toppings were fresh and added great taste to the burger. The cheese was melted perfectly and the bacon was crispy. The fries were also delicious and perfectly seasoned. All in all, I highly recommend the burger at Lawn, it's definitely worth a try. read more

One of the great burger I've ever had gets a thumbs up. I really enjoyed my Flame Burger Combo. Every time I eat it, I get a taste that is quite fulfilling. Such a lovely flavor. It has a ton of flavor, and the burger was cooked through. My mouth is already watering just thinking about casual dining for burgers. My appetites will be satisfied at this location. Also delicious were the sauces. Amazing burger variety. a substantial serving for a fair price. read more

Superrrrrrrrr I mean so juicy and delicious burgers! They are a little pricier than other places but SOOOOOO worth the money! Like the beef has to be lawn fed too I mean it's too good to be true. Super cute in the patio seating! Have never seen anything like it before. Paid $35 for these two burger combos. 10/10 would recommend anytime. THE BEST tasting burgers I have ever eaten. Will be coming back for sure!!!! read more

I stopped by Krasa and grabbed the spicy shawarma to go -- wow. It was fantastic, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. You can really taste the quality and the Ukrainian influence in every bite. Even though I took it to go, it was still fresh and delicious by the time I got home. I would highly recommend Krasa to anyone looking for something tasty, comforting, and unique.
