And, second, told me she would have to have the Prisma company give her a quote because they are handmade frames - her answer ... "ummm, I don't..." that was enough. If you are put out by providing the services you are listed to provide : "FRAMING", then maybe you should be in business. You just lost over $5,000 in framing.

THAT alone was a big enough step! Thankfully Bob and Mary helped me with the rest of the way. This is a very sentimental framing project and they were both lovely to work with! Mary was more of the creative mastermind while Bob floated around to give his 2 cents here and there. We started grandiose. Maybe too grandiose for my budget. Custom framing is expensive - Mary explained to me that "fabric goes with fabric". These little Barbie clothes would be sewn onto a fabric background. She herself sewed each piece onto a gorgeous pinstripe silk background that I chose. Bob was great helping pick a frame that was deep enough to showcase the clothing. They both offered several options and allowed me to take my time choosing. I'm so over the moon with how my project turned out. I'm all for local businesses and feel terrible that I ended up going to Hobby Lobby and spending 1/6 of the Framemakers price. But the frame that I ended up with looks super sturdy and professional. I don't know if it's really any different from what they have at Framemakers. And I saved $800. I wish they had competitive, more cost efficient offering beyond their super expensive frames.
