Perfect for a quick getaway, as well as for those who don't want to pay for an overnight stay. I've visited this establishment before. However, due to unfortunately due to car trouble, my 4 hr. stay turned into an extended stay. The staff was phenomenal. From the management to the housekeepers; they made me feel welcome and were eager to make sure I had everything I needed. A staff member even volunteered to go to store for me. At no time was I disturbed and was able to get some much needed rest. The grounds are well kept, it's located in the woods, so you're surrounded by nature. And it's surprisingly quiet. The highlight of my visit: Not realizing that I'd dropped my ring until housekeeping returned it to me. Wow! I'd highly recommend the Ashley.

The detail to cleanliness is the missing Star. Floors were clean. I can see the large size stains...Hmmm. It didn't keep me from getting a good nights rest. Breakfast the next morning was rather delightful. I held a great conversation with the female attendant about the city and things to do on my next visit. They offered a variety of food options. The room was big and stunning. I loved the wood floors and everything inside the room. Everything was spotless. The beds were two queens and they were very comfortable. There's the main house (which I honestly don't know if there are guest rooms in the main house, but I would think so) and then there are additional rooms around the back. The bathroom was also spacious and and a big and deep jetted tub, which was an unexpected bonus. The room was clean and quiet and the bed was comfortable. The reservation process was very easy, and we had no issues communicating with the owner all through our visit. We would have flown from California to Augusta and had no room. They still had available rooms but would not honor the reservation rate that we booked. Very unethical and dishonest. We spoke with Michelle and she basically said either pay the new sky high rates or stay somewhere else. The same employee who checked her in and personally handed her the room key later went to her room and began banging aggressively on the door. At the time, my wife was in the shower. She called out through the door that she was in the shower and could not open it. Despite this, the employee--James--continued to bang on the door and demanded that she open it to identify herself and provide her ID. This made no sense, as he already knew who she was and had just checked her in moments earlier. He persisted multiple times, insisting she open the door. This behavior terrified my wife. She felt unsafe, vulnerable, and unsure of what to do, especially as a woman alone in the room. I was on the phone with her during the incident and heard everything unfold in real time. Because of how unsafe she felt, my wife made the decision to leave the hotel and check out immediately. No guest--especially a woman staying alone--should ever be made to feel frightened or pressured like this by hotel staff. This experience was extremely disappointing, and I will be contacting corporate to report this incident. This type of behavior is completely unacceptable, and no one should ever be made to feel this way while staying at a hotel.
