    Tie wrapped curtains in 317
    Vee L.

The hotel is marketed as having "upscale accommodations and elevated experiences" but it is far from that. The nicest thing you will enjoy here is the view from the rooftop and the style of the lobby. The complementary coffee is watered down, the bathroom floor and floor showers in the actual rooms are filthy. The tilt wand in my room(317) was actually attached by a tie wrap and severely bent making it difficult to open the curtains. Also, there were straight strands of hair everywhere. I currently have braids. Additionally it was to my knowledge that we would receive housekeeping every three days. However, they entered our room everyday to replace the towels and one day(still not the third day), they turned back the bed, only because nothing was on it, missing a sock under the sheet and didn't even bother to fix the flat sheet under the blanket with crumbs left on the bed and in between the sheets from my toddlers doing. Coming in the room daily, without my knowledge really violates security and privacy. The entire time I was there, I never heard a vacuum or seen one and noticed in my room, as well as other family members, the floor was filthy as well as the couch with stains. To make matters worst their bar opens at 5 pm or whenever they feel like it as if their only priority is to accommodate the stadium crowd across the street and not their actual guests throughout the day. Furthermore, finding someone who can make a well crafted drink is out of the picture. They charge literally whatever they want and as a bartender I can tell no one is a bartender. I literally watched Amelia pour liqueur before the actual liquor in attempt to make a mai tai and then put mint in the Mai tai, which is actually crazy. Also after every drink she would repeat "you wanna start a tab" which delivers a dive bar experience, instead of asking if we'd like to put it to the room or waiting until we finished. If this part was actually "elevated" with real bartenders and mixologists, the experience could have been two stars. Additionally my family opted for a ballroom with catering and a cash bar. I have never been to any event like such that charged $13 for a glass of wine and seated at a set table with no table cloth. That's literally like wearing sneakers with no socks. With that said their number one priority isn't to deliver a great customer experience but to Price Gouge. To make matters worse, my mother enjoyed breakfast at Salt +Marrow and paid with her card and when I received the checkout bill it was still added to her room with the tip she wrote on the receipt included in the price. Good thing she keeps her receipts. Also, the front desk seriously lack area knowledge and hotel knowledge. For example, we stayed 4 nights and was told we have to pay for parking, which is $12/day. Everyday we came to our car, the garage gate was up. Then I had a family member who never parked in the garage but was still charged daily by the hotel for parking on the street. The street isn't owned by the hotel but the city. Again, PRICE GOUGING!. I will never return and am going to call and ask for a refund for the holiday inn club vacation package I ordered that has nothing to do with this hotel. If the IHG brand is like this, I don't even want to try any other location.

The Crowne Plaza Salt+Marrow Parlor Bar Is, for all intense and purposes, the lobby bar. I have to tell you, it's a beautiful bar. What you need to understand is the bartenders are amazing, very attentive, quick and you will love your cocktails!!! My bartender was Brittany and she makes amazing drinks, she's quick witted, funny and very professional! Quanta, Lindsey, and Adrian all kept the customers happy and coming back for more!!! If you're ever in the North Augusta area, especially for a Green-jackets game stop by the Crowne Plaza and see Brittany and her co-workers and you will not be disappointed, but if you are charge it to room 546...feel sorry for those people! Beautiful hotel near the SRP park. There are many restaurants near by for eating and one in the hotel . There is always events going on around there so you will be entertained . The rooftop bar and the inside bar are really nice . The only downside with these type of hotels are no microwaves in the rooms . Beds were super comfy and I love the TV that rotates . Will return again .

Beautful hotel in a very beautiful area. The hotel staff are extremely kind, accommodating, and helpful. I feel bad that I didn't get the names of the girls this morning who took time out of cleaning up (breakfast service was over) and got me a large cup of coffee. Nathaniel, the front desk supervisor, was very nice and accommodating, he took time out of his busy schedule to take me on a tour of the hotel. There's a baseball stadium, restaurants, and cute little shop across the street. If you like to run or exercise there's a beautiful park and trail in walking distance from the hotel. Last but not least, the cleaning staff were amazing, friendly, and accommodating!

The room was clean, no smell, or issues during my stay. Fairly quiet despite being near a major road. No issues with neighbors or other guests. Like most hotels, this location also had a small gym and their equipment is pretty modern, especially their treadmills. If you're a diamond elite member, there are designated parking spots available on the side outside to use. Among the top hotels in the area, I highly recommend this holiday inn express.

Stayed here for 1 night in July 2025…read more TL;DR: way more good than bad here. Clean, comfortable, spacious room (mine was a king so your mileage may vary). Great staff. Would have no issue booking here again. The Good: *The staff is incredibly friendly. Everyone I had the pleasure to interact with was wonderful! *The water pressure was great *The bed was comfortable, not the best, but better than most hotel beds I've slept in. *The king bed room had a chaise, and it wasn't uncomfortable for the hour I used it to watch the GIANT television * microwave and refrigerator! The okay: *Breakfast was your typical included hot hotel breakfast. Nothing spectacular but does its job. The bad: The windows lack a way to block out sunlight during the day. It had a pull down translucent white shade and a heavier, opaque pull down shade. The issue is way too much light bleeds in around the edges. Made my attempted nap be just that, attempted. *The tub was a little damaged and chipped. The floor of the tub felt a bit unstable, but I didn't feel unsafe. It just "gives" a little, if that makes sense. While I'm not rating as good or bad, but there were some weird pieces of wood in the corner by the door that seemed like a contractor didn't clean up and neither did anyone else (pic provided).

There's the main house (which I honestly don't know if there are guest rooms in the main house, but I would think so) and then there are additional rooms around the back. I stayed in one of the rooms out back. The room was on the ground floor and was spacious and beautifully appointed in period appropriate furnishings. The bathroom was also spacious and and a big and deep jetted tub, which was an unexpected bonus. The room was clean and quiet and the bed was comfortable. The inn is conveniently located to eateries etc. For my solo traveling girlies: + I don't believe the Inn is staffed all night. I was checking in around 5:30pm and the Innkeeper texted me to let me know they had a meeting and wouldn't be there upon arrival. They sent me instructions for how to do a self-check in and gain access to my room. My car was the only car in the parking lot all night. I didn't see anyone else--I believe I was the only one at the inn that night. + My room was accessed from the outside (ie: my room didn't lead to a hallway--it lead to the outdoors). And, there were two doors to access the room (both leading outside). They both did have deadbolts and one had a door chain at the top, +Parking is on site, well lit, and close to entrances +The inn appears to be in a nice area of town I don't know that I'd stay here solo again but would 100% stay with my partner.

High ceilings, Rooms are like a very nice guest room in a good friend's or family's home. Very cozy, nice size room, easy access to main floor rooms from the parking lot. There is a set of stairs (no elevator) to the 2nd floor. Nice courtyard off main floor rooms to sit and relax. Bathrooms have soft, black makeup remover washcloth for us women and makeup remover towelettes plus all needed shower amenities. TV and lights turned on, water bottles included. Just like coming home, much nicer than a hotel. John and Mary are great hosts and very accomodating to our schedule. One of the BEST parts is the awesome included breakfast, made to order eggs, sausage, etc. fresh various bread types, fresh fruits, all set in their main hotel formal dining room with china plates and silverware. Don't worry dress is casual in this room :) The price is AWESOME for all that is included. You cannot beat it. Easy access to expressways. Could not ask for more. We will definately return when we head back down south toward the beach area. We stayed at Lookaway Inn coming and going from our trip to Hilton Head. A nice halfway point for us to relax. They have also built a very nice event venue building on the property. There was a wedding right before we arrived and more wedding events planned.
