I have only been to two Home2Suites and here are the pros and cons of this particular location…read more.. Specific Location (Pro) -The fitness center is a lot bigger and has more equipment than another Home2Suites location I have stayed in -The pool is outdoors -Decent space size within the suite (not too crazy about the cabinets or the closeness of the rooms across the hall) -Requesting a hot plate and rice cooker was a lot easier than another Home2Suites location I stayed in -Staff was friendly, courteous and accomodating -Bathrooms have a shampoo & conditioner dispenser instead of the bottles (my personal favorite feature) -Decent amount of parking space that goes around the entire building Specific location (Con) They are doing some work on the front entrance so it looks kinda bad and takes away from the appeal of the hotel, Im assuming they are in the process of getting that fixed. -Not a lot of space to park your car at the front when you are checking in if you have an SUV or a truck Overall Pro -Overall on the inside it looks great, modern design very welcoming and spacious at a pretty affordable rate. Overall Con -I am not a big fan of the open concept "business center" it's not even really a center its just an area with two computers and a printer (they all work which is good because not all Hilton computers work at the locations I have been in) but the lack of privacy when conducting business is a big problem especially if you have a business or career where you need privacy to exchange sensitive information that is not for everyone's ears and there is nowhere to have a private room on the first floor unless you go outside and hope there is no one out there.

The price - even on a weekend makes this even more inviting. There is no restaurant in the hotel, but pretty much there is a restaurant of your liking within 10 miles of this location. Many places within 5 miles that you can enjoy. Whether your taste is fast food or sit down enjoyment. There is always the voice of having food delivered. I'll be staying here when in the area for sure.

The room was clean, no smell, or issues during my stay. Fairly quiet despite being near a major road. No issues with neighbors or other guests. Like most hotels, this location also had a small gym and their equipment is pretty modern, especially their treadmills. If you're a diamond elite member, there are designated parking spots available on the side outside to use. Among the top hotels in the area, I highly recommend this holiday inn express.

Now, it would have been way convenient for me to put out the "do not disturb" placard, but NOPE - there was not one. Very disappointing for a property that flies the Hyatt flag. Hyatt is a way better company than this property represented in our stay.

I thought it was a museum, which it kind of is. Our room was on the ground floor behind the main mansion. We arrived in the evening so they left us information on how to get into our room. The room was big and stunning. I loved the wood floors and everything inside the room. Everything was spotless. The beds were two queens and they were very comfortable. In the morning we went to the mansion for breakfast. The hosts were extremely friendly and made us feel at home while they cooked us some fresh eggs. The price was very reasonable and this was way better than staying at a hotel, it just was way more relaxing. I highly recommend the Lookaway Inn!

There's the main house (which I honestly don't know if there are guest rooms in the main house, but I would think so) and then there are additional rooms around the back. I stayed in one of the rooms out back. The room was on the ground floor and was spacious and beautifully appointed in period appropriate furnishings. The bathroom was also spacious and and a big and deep jetted tub, which was an unexpected bonus. The room was clean and quiet and the bed was comfortable. The inn is conveniently located to eateries etc. For my solo traveling girlies: + I don't believe the Inn is staffed all night. I was checking in around 5:30pm and the Innkeeper texted me to let me know they had a meeting and wouldn't be there upon arrival. They sent me instructions for how to do a self-check in and gain access to my room. My car was the only car in the parking lot all night. I didn't see anyone else--I believe I was the only one at the inn that night. + My room was accessed from the outside (ie: my room didn't lead to a hallway--it lead to the outdoors). And, there were two doors to access the room (both leading outside). They both did have deadbolts and one had a door chain at the top, +Parking is on site, well lit, and close to entrances +The inn appears to be in a nice area of town I don't know that I'd stay here solo again but would 100% stay with my partner.

I was…read moregetting tired and sore so I pulled over a few hours out from the hotel, pulled up my Marriott Bonvoy App (I'm platinum) and found them online. I actually called the front desk to advise them that I was making a late reservation but was fully intending to come. At NO time did she indicate they were under construction. I arrived at about 0200 and found that the entire lobby was a construction zone. Significantly, I am handicap. They were in the middle of renovating and it was litterally treacherous. I spoke to the front desk clerk (really the night auditor) and she offered to cancel my reservation so I could go elsewhere but I was a ZOMBIE and she assured me the floor in which she was assigning me (3rd floor) was newly renovated. I took the room. The floor/room was fine. The air quality and rest of the hotel was a construction nightmare. Dust, dangerous walking paths and by the time I woke up, I was having a hard time breathing and need to use my inhaler for the first time in almost 1 year. I am NOT a Karen. I used Marriott Bonvoy points (19k if I recall correctly) and was very disappointed with my stay. I wrote in to ask for a replenishment of my points at Bonvoy Customer Service and fully expected to be replenished. Shockingly, the hotel's response was that I was advised of the construction and basically flipped me the bird with a Caveat Emptor and refused to return my points. Suffice to say, I was pissed. I escalated the issue with Marriott Bonvoy and as one would expect from an awards program like Marriott, they immediately replenished my points. In the meantime, beware of this property. It is a franchise location and the owners seemingly lack the commitment to excellence and top customer service one usually associates with Marriott properties. Everyone I encountered while I was on property was kind, professional and highly apologetic. They had apparently been forced to master that behavior. Now that construction is done, I wanted to share this story and make sure that my Bonvoy colleagues realize that leopards never change there spots and that, if requiring accomodations in the Augusta airport area, give careful consideration about choosing another Marriott property.

Two of my dance mom friends also booked there , and because I am a gold Hilton honors member, I was able to put all of our rooms on my account and get us a $30 credit for dinner or breakfast each day of our stay. The front desk staff was always available and ready to assist and when we got breakfast, the lovely women were so kind especially to our girls, they engaged in conversation, and was great with service. The lobby was clean and nicely maintained. We stayed on the 4th floor, and the room itself was quite spacious. Nice touches included complimentary water bottles and cookies at check-in, plus a coffee maker with free pods in the room. We also tried their breakfast, which was filling and reasonably priced at $19. Free parking was a big plus, and the hotel is conveniently located about 20 minutes from downtown. Overall, a comfortable stay with friendly service, though the rooms could use some updates.
