I've been coming here for years, and I've always had a great time, this is my last time visiting. The morning after I checked in, the hotel had to do plumbing work in the room next to me. All of a sudden, all of the feces from the toilet next-door starts shooting out of drain of my shower. So what did the hotel do? They've moved me from my very nice room, to an old outdated room with junk yard furniture. When I go to get into bed, I pull back the comforter, and there is a feces stain on the sheet. I just told the front desk, and the lady was very nice, and said she felt sad that I am not enjoying my stay. That was it. She did not even offer to bring me clean sheets for that shit stained bed that they gave me. This is absolutely disgusting. I want to just leave and go home, but they have a three night minimum and money is a lot more important to them than customer service. read more

The room was just OK... not worth the $$ to stay here. Lots of trolls wandering about so if you like to be ignored or hit on by old men by all means come here. The pool was very clean and warm. One of workers at the pool side cafe was totally rude and not friendly at all. Prob wont be back. Wifi wasnt working for 2 days. Just got excuses as to why it was down. read more

I made a reservation and had to cancel our reservation due to a death in our family. I asked if I could get a refund of my deposit due to the funeral arrangements, and this was beyond my control. I have tried to call them and speak to someone for several days and kept getting told they would have to check with the owner. Well, this evening, I finally got an answer and was told "no" that I forfeit my refund and they would not work with me. I understand their 15-day policy; I made this reservation within the 15-day grace period. This just shows me the owner does not care about his clients who visit this resort. Losing a family member due to an awful accident that was beyond anyone's control. If they wanted to have repeat clients they should understand that emergencies do happen. We will never stay at this place ever and I would not recommend it to anyone. read more

This hotel is an older hotel which was taken over and turned into Parliament. They have been working hard to renovate and upgrade as they have funds available and it has improved over the years. If you are looking for a cruisy gated place this is it! Nudity is allowed but it's not a nudist place. The rooms are now equivalent to a mid level hotel like nice red roof inn. They have two bars the edge nightclub and capri lounge if you want to drink. It is a good spot to host gay events. Their only minus is it is rather noisy it's especially noisy if you are near the disco nightclub If you go to bed early aka before 1am - Avoid that side of hotel. It was even miserable with ear plugs I had to sleep with towel over my ears and you still heard base thumping. Their prices are reasonable but no longer cheap. For major events rooms approach $200 night after taxes and their mandatory membership fees. I believe all rooms now have terminal through wall heat pump AC now and rooms now have laminate floors. They have a small cafe for food ( not open everyday). They have an unheated pool and about 6 person hot tub. They also have a steam room with irregular hours. There are two very cruisy play areas. You'll have to call and ask hours. Were it not for the nightclub noise I'd rate it higher read more

The rooms are nice enough & reasonably priced. However, the guests & the staff are super friendly. From the way the staff interacts with you, you might think that u r at a 4 star hotel. They are incredibly hospitable & the manager, Michelle, is a doll. This is my 3rd visit here & it keeps getting better & better. I will definitely be back. The guy that runs the cafe is a bit surly, but I think he thinks it is charming. His partner, on the other hand is the personality of the business. (They operate independent of the hotel.) read more

We have been staying at the Parliament for over 10 yes, the owners have done great on remodeling the hotel with better furniture and bedding. We have always been able to request a room and if it was available we could book the room number and when we got there the room has always been clean and ready. We have always gotten the room requested but we normally stay more then 3 days. This is not a Holiday Inn, but clean, all gay men, close to 2 bars, 2 salt water pools that are always clean, and a hot tub; plus the sex play areas if you are interested or not. Lots of recreational things to do in the area besides golf. We rented kyaks and went down the Savannah. Great day on the river. Holidays are lots of fun. Halloween is lots of fun, and New year's Eve parties are a great way to bring in the New year. read more

When I checked on tonight, i saw the balance and I thought it was for three (3) nights instead of two. When asked, found out that I was charged for a pool party that definitely wouldn't be going to. Also, "this is a special event weekend and your room comes with the party." Had to get a room at the executive suite outside of the resort to avoid the charges. No wifi but the room is very nice Point is, make sure you ask about special event weekends and their extra charges. read more

Every time I go the experience improves. I have been coming here for the past few years, and it has definitely changed for the better. When I first started going there were some issues with things like how clean some of the place was, the lack of food option, the fact that you had to walk through the lobby and beside the road to reach the bar next door. They fixed some of that; they listen to guests' suggestions, they reopened the gate to the bar, and they even bought the hotel next door and annexed it to create more options. The Options Cafe, located both "in" and "outside" the resort (two separate dining rooms) caters to some of your food needs. It isn't always open, but there are some decent options nearby.... The reservation system is still a little strange, in that there are no online booking options but the staff does send confirmation emails and can be pretty easily reached at any time. Also, not every set of rooms has the same amenities - some have DVD players, some fridge and microwave, and others have central air. Each set of rooms has its own appeal (price, location or proximity to specialty areas). The complex is private and requires a yearly membership fee, but it's only $10.... All in all, it's a decent place to come if you want to get away or have some *fun* with new friends.... read more

First time every going after hearing about it for years. Much closer than I ever would have imagined. I had a very relaxing weekend. Liked my room, liked the bars, liked the guests. Very clean place. I'd take extra pillow next time to prop up and watch tv. It is clear that Room is basically for sleeping which is fine. I would stay for days if possible. Fortunately I stayed for two (2), but would have done a couple more if I had the time off. Hated to leave and get back to real world. Food was good, but not sure why they ask how you want your eggs if they are only willing to serve them one way....kinda fried. I think the cafe in general is a bit arrogant about that part knowing there aren't other options for eating on site. Might want to avoid that part is you're up for eating off site. read more

We always have a great time when we come to the Parliament Resort! The staff is welcoming and helpful and the guests are always friendly. They also have great amenities such as the saltwater pool, the Edge nightclub and the retro Capri Lounge. When we were there for the weekend of the 4th, they had a packed crowd, and a great cookout by both pools! I travel over four hours to stay here two times a year to attend the Inappropriate Pool Party. Always a great time to be had. The rooms are comfortable, clean and for the price of an average of $69.00 what more could you want. Of course always brings your amenities from home including shampoo and special soap for shower if you require it. Also bring your own hair dryer. This weekend I brought my own floor fan which came in handy. Certain rooms have a central air condition that feeds into a row of rooms, all set to a certain temp. The fan helped immensely with the circulation. Staff are always friendly. Food tasty at the café. Pool is great in size, cleanliness and activity during this weekend. So this is an awesome place to get away from reality. It's for guys only and it's a place with no judgement. Yes, it is a hook up place, but it's so much more. The pool alone is work the visit. It's 9 foot deep and salt water. Beautiful plant life throughout the compound. The staff are the friendliest I have ever come across. They truly love working there, they are helpful and very respectful. We always try to stay in room 77 and 80 because of the beautiful creature that cleans those rooms. (I cannot remember her name but she is a queen!!!) The cafe is amazing, Jose is one of the guys who runs it. They do an amazing job, friendly helpful and the food is amazing. Everything is home cooked, and the sweet tea is to die for!!! It is very well priced. It's open for breakfast and late night snacks from 12am-3am. Make you you tip them well!!! Then next door you have the edge night club which is amazing. One of the homes of the famous Carla Cox!! Daniel is one of the bartender. He so beautiful and makes an awesome sex on the beach and vodka and soda water!!! Please don't let others out bad thoughts in your head and give this place a try. There is also a hot tub, steam room and much much more!!!!! read more

A great gay resort. With clean rooms, nice pool, and hot tub, it was a great place to relax. It also had a great on-site restaurant with awesome food and a great host in Joe, who can brighten the darkest day. Try out their sweet Ice tea. Rooms are comfortable for the price, staff is excellent. If you ever have any issues Shannon will get them squared away pronto. The rest of the staff at the establishment is the bomb and the best part is get as wasted as you want (drinking wise) and both hotels are within walking distance of the complex. I have been visiting the Parliament Resort of Augusta since 2005. It is a gay sanctuary in the conservative south. Over the years I have made many friends during my visits. I went last weekend for Augusta Pride. I was able to reconnect with friends I had not seen in a long time. This trip my partner and I stayed at the Executive next door which is part of the Metropolis Resort. The oversized room was clean and faced the pool area. The Capri Lounge is part it the Executive and has Happy Hour between four and seven. A nice place to get together with old friends and make new ones. I have been visiting The Parliament Resort for many years and will surely return again. read more
