I must say overall my experience here was positive but could have been better. The front desk staff was outstanding. They were courteous and accommodating. Gave a lot of helpful tips of navigating the city and good places to eat. I even had an accident while checking out and the front desk staff jumped into action to help be gather all my things that scatter all over the lobby. Let's start with the location of the Home2. It's centrally located to lots of restaurants and shopping and about a 10-15 minute drive to Augustus depend on where you are going. There is a lot of construction in the area and a hotel being built right next door do there is a lot of heavy machinery present but I was nuanced by any of the noise so that's a plus. The room was spacious and modern and semi clean. And I only say semi because the shower wasn't really that clean. There was some leftover hair in the shower from a previous guest. I did not love that at all. But luckily I only trust my cleaning and travel with cleaning supplies. The bed was hard, like park bench. LAWDDD if these hotel chains don't believe we care about the comfort of our beds, they are WRONGGG. I couldn't get comfortable to save my life and I was there for 4 whole days. The AC unit was spotty i.e. worked when it damn well pleased and I wasn't going to tell it anything different but it wasn't the quietest thing when it did decide to work. And you can hear the people walking above you, similar to living in apartment and you hear your neighbors walking about all day and night. I loved the tiny kitchen it was so cute. That area was spotless. Parking lot is too small for such a large hotel. And they have a large number of guest due to the heavy construction in the area.

Over my stay here I had somebody do a hit and run on my car in the hotel parking lot and the hotel could care less about the hundreds of dollars of damage I endured while my property was on the property while being a PAY CUSTOMER. After I noticed my car was DAMAGED, I immediately go to the front desk to ask if I could see the camera footage so I could report the crime of the person hitting my car and doing a hit and run on my vehicle. Immediately general manager Tim working on July 4th 2025 was very rude and unprofessional about the situation and could've cared less about the crime that was committed in the parking lot. Made statements talking about "he could see my car" and then the next minute "he can't see it or who hit my and I need to call the police". Like sir if you can see my car on camera you CAN see who hit my car and I really didn't want to call the police and press charges about the property damage really just wanted it for my insurance company. Then employees stated" we can see your car so i don't know why Tim said that, the issue is we don't have access to the footage". So I called the police thinking that would help the General manager Tim realize the person who hit my car and left was wrong and he needed to get on the phone with his bosses to rectify the situation by giving me or the police the license plate number and description of the person and vehicle. Nope he still done nothing and wouldn't speak to them and could've cared less the one of his customers cars just got damaged in the parking lot. Customer service is HORRIBLE from corporate, to management and 50% of employees at the hotel. This hotel has been having issue with the safety of customers and customers property and general manager Tim, owner and corporate couldn't care less. This hotel allows non paying customers to come there and do whatever they please, party's in the parking lot, reckless driving through the parking lot, and are allowed to come in and out of the hotel like they are guest. Pool wasn't opening on time, things like (towels) will be locked and only provide at certain times, if your staying multiple days they won't do the bare minimum of taking trash out and bring trash bags or fresh towels to the room. I've spent weeks on the phone with corporate and the hotel try to resolve this in the best way for them, and myself. But unfortunately I have received no help or response from them and they couldn't care less about the damages people are doing to customers at the hotel. This hotel does have security camera that do work but Tim, the owner and cooperate office "don't have access to it" which is very concerning "They don't have access to it and after weeks they still couldn't get access " which is very concerning seeing as crimes are happening to customers staying at the hotel. Best Western Plus Augusta is NOT the family friendly hotel you'd think you're staying at. I have reported them to the better business bureau and have chosen to take legal action against as well as the person who damaged my property because. Yes I understand the hotel didn't grow legs and hit my car BUT the hotel is withholding evidence of a crime by refusing to go speak to the officer that came that day and turn over at least the license plate of the person who left the the scene of a accident, the hotel and corporate have refused to respond to me or my insurance company so my insurance could deal with the person who committed the crime of a hit and run on my vehicle and now the hotel is playing into the emotional and Financial damages this situation has caused me. It sucks the hotel wants go through all of this for somebody else other then them to be held accountable for the damages they caused to me.

WiFi worked for 10 seconds every ~8 mins or so from the first floor. Ran speed tests over a 10 min window with download speeds at 6.76, 1.52, and 5.77 Mb p/s and upload speeds at 4.87, 1.72, 5.69 Mb p/s. Average 4.68 Mbps DL and 4.07 Mbps UL. Buddy on the second floor had the same experience with A/C and WiFi. Could not use my laptop to do work/check emails at all due to this.
