Not well lit at all. However, The front desk staff were pleasantly friendly. The young lady even provided me with a flyers of local places to eat in the area. I arrived late so Many places were closing soon. It was the thought that counted for me. My Room 511 was super spacious. King size bed comfortable. I bit too high but I managed to get in and out without falling. Looks like it's been remodeled. Hard wood laminate flooring. Nice size Flat screen TV. Bathroom and shower were nice. The detail to cleanliness is the missing Star. Floors were clean. I can see the large size stains...Hmmm. It didn't keep me from getting a good nights rest. Breakfast the next morning was rather delightful. I held a great conversation with the female attendant about the city and things to do on my next visit. They offered a variety of food options. I grabbed the egg and cheese Omlette, smothered it with a bit of sausage gravy & headed on my way.

The bathroom was also spacious and and a big and deep jetted tub, which was an unexpected bonus. The room was clean and quiet and the bed was comfortable. The inn is conveniently located to eateries etc. For my solo traveling girlies: + I don't believe the Inn is staffed all night. I was checking in around 5:30pm and the Innkeeper texted me to let me know they had a meeting and wouldn't be there upon arrival. They sent me instructions for how to do a self-check in and gain access to my room. My car was the only car in the parking lot all night. I didn't see anyone else--I believe I was the only one at the inn that night. + My room was accessed from the outside (ie: my room didn't lead to a hallway--it lead to the outdoors). And, there were two doors to access the room (both leading outside). They both did have deadbolts and one had a door chain at the top, +Parking is on site, well lit, and close to entrances +The inn appears to be in a nice area of town I don't know that I'd stay here solo again but would 100% stay with my partner.

This boathouse lodging is situated conveniently on the Augusta marina, so there was no parking issues. The reservation process was very easy, and we had no issues communicating with the owner all through our visit. This houseboat was an older vessel, that was restored and could easily be enough space for 4 adults. On our visit we just had 2 adults, so the full size bed was more than comfortable. They also have two two size bunkbeds that could be used for kids or other adults. This houseboat was very, very cozy and comfortable. It had direct TV and all the other options (microwave, refrigerator, stove, everything a normal hotel would have. Our hostess was very friendly and added special amenities to ensure we had a great experience. Lots to do in walking distance, make sure you go downtown for some great restaurants.

I tried to put the fan on constant, but after a period of inactivity it defaults to 'auto' and a warmer temperature, so it shuts off all airflow to the room making it warm and stuffy. I woke up several times throughout the night because of this. I miss the old days when you could just set the ac unit temperature in the wall and it worked good. In the future I would prefer to stay somewhere else where they let you control the room temperature.

We called back in February to confirm reservations again, only to learn that "the manager had canceled our reservations 3 days" later without any outreach or communication because "they felt like they didn't charge us enough". We would have flown from California to Augusta and had no room. They still had available rooms but would not honor the reservation rate that we booked. Very unethical and dishonest. We spoke with Michelle and she basically said either pay the new sky high rates or stay somewhere else. She confirmed that other people's reservations were also canceled and they will probably show up and need to pay much more (if they even have any more rooms remaining by then). So much for southern hospitality.

My wife was staying at this hotel alone, and shortly after checking in, she had a very frightening…read moreexperience that caused her to feel completely unsafe. The same employee who checked her in and personally handed her the room key later went to her room and began banging aggressively on the door. At the time, my wife was in the shower. She called out through the door that she was in the shower and could not open it. Despite this, the employee--James--continued to bang on the door and demanded that she open it to identify herself and provide her ID. This made no sense, as he already knew who she was and had just checked her in moments earlier. He persisted multiple times, insisting she open the door. This behavior terrified my wife. She felt unsafe, vulnerable, and unsure of what to do, especially as a woman alone in the room. I was on the phone with her during the incident and heard everything unfold in real time. Because of how unsafe she felt, my wife made the decision to leave the hotel and check out immediately. No guest--especially a woman staying alone--should ever be made to feel frightened or pressured like this by hotel staff. This experience was extremely disappointing, and I will be contacting corporate to report this incident. This type of behavior is completely unacceptable, and no one should ever be made to feel this way while staying at a hotel.
