Shower was roomy enough even for a larger guy like myself.

It's an older hotel sir, but it checks out. I was pleasantly surprised on my two night stay at this conveniently located hotel right smack dab in downtown Augusta. I wasn't there for the Masters or anything, so the price of the hotel was very affordable, and put me within walking distance of a lot of great restaurant and sightseeing options downtown on Broad street. From check in to check out, all staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was kept very clean, from my room that was spotless on arrival, to the common areas, and even the complimentary breakfast in the morning. Speaking of that breakfast, one of the best I have had in quite some time for an included breakfast, especially in the post pandemic era! I am very picky about eggs, and was happy to see they were being changed out often. Bacon was crispy, sausage savory, even the biscuits and gravy were pretty good (this is Georgia after all)! Even with it being downtown and somewhat close to a main thoroughfare, I had no issues with noise outside or within the hotel. I slept comfortably on the bed which was a nice balance of soft and firm. The wifi was fast enough to get my work done within my room, and there was plenty of room to move around for a solo traveler. All in all, a very pleasant experience, and I would stay here again!

upon arrival i figured this was a typical Holiday Inn. Seemed tidy an such but when i got up to my room and went into the bathroom there was a half smoked cigarette stuck in the toilet paper which fell to the floor when I tried to use it. Gross! What else is lurking beneath the surface here? Cleaning crew needs to get it together a little bit more. Room smells like smoke. yuck! The woman at the front desk however (I think her name was Roweesha) was very sweet.

Poor condition, dirty carpet in elevators, minimal breakfast. I left my room and removed my do not disturb sign from my room at 10:45 am and this is what I came back to in the evening. See pictures. No cleaning. Sad...

Lovely lovely place. Great staff! Very clean room, toilet, shower area, no bad odors. Great breakfast: Thanks to Kim. Sweetest staff ever. Too kind. Wish I was rich enough to leave them all a $100 tip each. High recommend. I check beds and baseboards. All was cleaned. Carpet clean. All is well. Great two nights sleep and I have a bad case of OCD, lol.

This was a very nice stay. We checked in around 11:00 pm and felt right at home. The rooms were very clean and the breakfast was delicious. We will definitely stay here again. Right Downtown and close to everything. Really nice and helpful staff.

The room was clean, no smell, or issues during my stay. Fairly quiet despite being near a major road. No issues with neighbors or other guests. Like most hotels, this location also had a small gym and their equipment is pretty modern, especially their treadmills. If you're a diamond elite member, there are designated parking spots available on the side outside to use. Among the top hotels in the area, I highly recommend this holiday inn express.

Stayed here for 1 night in July 2025…read more TL;DR: way more good than bad here. Clean, comfortable, spacious room (mine was a king so your mileage may vary). Great staff. Would have no issue booking here again. The Good: *The staff is incredibly friendly. Everyone I had the pleasure to interact with was wonderful! *The water pressure was great *The bed was comfortable, not the best, but better than most hotel beds I've slept in. *The king bed room had a chaise, and it wasn't uncomfortable for the hour I used it to watch the GIANT television * microwave and refrigerator! The okay: *Breakfast was your typical included hot hotel breakfast. Nothing spectacular but does its job. The bad: The windows lack a way to block out sunlight during the day. It had a pull down translucent white shade and a heavier, opaque pull down shade. The issue is way too much light bleeds in around the edges. Made my attempted nap be just that, attempted. *The tub was a little damaged and chipped. The floor of the tub felt a bit unstable, but I didn't feel unsafe. It just "gives" a little, if that makes sense. While I'm not rating as good or bad, but there were some weird pieces of wood in the corner by the door that seemed like a contractor didn't clean up and neither did anyone else (pic provided).

There's the main house (which I honestly don't know if there are guest rooms in the main house, but I would think so) and then there are additional rooms around the back. I stayed in one of the rooms out back. The room was on the ground floor and was spacious and beautifully appointed in period appropriate furnishings. The bathroom was also spacious and and a big and deep jetted tub, which was an unexpected bonus. The room was clean and quiet and the bed was comfortable. The inn is conveniently located to eateries etc. For my solo traveling girlies: + I don't believe the Inn is staffed all night. I was checking in around 5:30pm and the Innkeeper texted me to let me know they had a meeting and wouldn't be there upon arrival. They sent me instructions for how to do a self-check in and gain access to my room. My car was the only car in the parking lot all night. I didn't see anyone else--I believe I was the only one at the inn that night. + My room was accessed from the outside (ie: my room didn't lead to a hallway--it lead to the outdoors). And, there were two doors to access the room (both leading outside). They both did have deadbolts and one had a door chain at the top, +Parking is on site, well lit, and close to entrances +The inn appears to be in a nice area of town I don't know that I'd stay here solo again but would 100% stay with my partner.

Just like coming home, much nicer than a hotel. John and Mary are great hosts and very accomodating to our schedule. One of the BEST parts is the awesome included breakfast, made to order eggs, sausage, etc. fresh various bread types, fresh fruits, all set in their main hotel formal dining room with china plates and silverware. Don't worry dress is casual in this room :) The price is AWESOME for all that is included. You cannot beat it. Easy access to expressways. Could not ask for more. We will definately return when we head back down south toward the beach area. We stayed at Lookaway Inn coming and going from our trip to Hilton Head. A nice halfway point for us to relax. They have also built a very nice event venue building on the property. There was a wedding right before we arrived and more wedding events planned.

I was…read moregetting tired and sore so I pulled over a few hours out from the hotel, pulled up my Marriott Bonvoy App (I'm platinum) and found them online. I actually called the front desk to advise them that I was making a late reservation but was fully intending to come. At NO time did she indicate they were under construction. I arrived at about 0200 and found that the entire lobby was a construction zone. Significantly, I am handicap. They were in the middle of renovating and it was litterally treacherous. I spoke to the front desk clerk (really the night auditor) and she offered to cancel my reservation so I could go elsewhere but I was a ZOMBIE and she assured me the floor in which she was assigning me (3rd floor) was newly renovated. I took the room. The floor/room was fine. The air quality and rest of the hotel was a construction nightmare. Dust, dangerous walking paths and by the time I woke up, I was having a hard time breathing and need to use my inhaler for the first time in almost 1 year. I am NOT a Karen. I used Marriott Bonvoy points (19k if I recall correctly) and was very disappointed with my stay. I wrote in to ask for a replenishment of my points at Bonvoy Customer Service and fully expected to be replenished. Shockingly, the hotel's response was that I was advised of the construction and basically flipped me the bird with a Caveat Emptor and refused to return my points. Suffice to say, I was pissed. I escalated the issue with Marriott Bonvoy and as one would expect from an awards program like Marriott, they immediately replenished my points. In the meantime, beware of this property. It is a franchise location and the owners seemingly lack the commitment to excellence and top customer service one usually associates with Marriott properties. Everyone I encountered while I was on property was kind, professional and highly apologetic. They had apparently been forced to master that behavior. Now that construction is done, I wanted to share this story and make sure that my Bonvoy colleagues realize that leopards never change there spots and that, if requiring accomodations in the Augusta airport area, give careful consideration about choosing another Marriott property.
