We knew this place was dealing with some renovations, but: 1) the phone in the room didn't work so when we discovered much of the following you couldn't even call the front desk; 2) the television had very basic cable...but most importantly in AUGUSTA, GA - the home to The Masters...and the week of The Masters...and they have no Golf Channel in this property; 3) it would have been fun to open the blinds and see the sunshine, but those doing the renovation have painted directly over the window!; 4) we were a two-night stay but the room was not cleaned after our first night (see #7 below); 5) we used the sofa-bed, but there were no extra pillows or a blanket in the room...okay, so just call the front desk you might think - but see #1 above; 6) the shower had zero (none!) soap OR shampoo in those little bottles (bone dry); and to make it more fun, 7) I had a late checkout on my last morning and no less than 5 different employees knocked on my door to finally clean the room...when I didn't even want to be disturbed. Now, it would have been way convenient for me to put out the "do not disturb" placard, but NOPE - there was not one. Very disappointing for a property that flies the Hyatt flag. Hyatt is a way better company than this property represented in our stay. read more

Stayed the weekend. Very nice place for its price point. Staff were nice and helped with any questions. The hotel is located in a nice centrally located area. Close to farmhaus burgers, frog and hen (highly recommend/ great nashville hot and deviled eggs), target, movies, and more. The hotel has a nice outdoor sitting area, also cute niches in the lobby to work on business or just sit and converse with others. The computers are also in the lobby, not very private area. Your back is to all guest walking in and out of the lobby to their room. Guest room- I had a king bed, one sofa sleeper. My room, the bathroom, the fridge were clean. The bathroom came w enough towels for my stay. My only complaint would be that my last day (morning of checkout), I could not get hot water from my shower. So I was pleased this happened the morning I was leaving and not an ok going thing & luckily, I took a shower the night before It stated there was grab and go breakfast, but I did not see that. There was coffee and tea provided. There are no microwaves in the room, so I used the one in the breakfast area. read more

Check in was unprofessional.The front desk lady was late. We had to wait 15 minutes. I think she was in the back also serving as a cook. We went outside to wait for our room. The furniture on the patio was torn up. There was pollen everywhere. It looked worse than a Motel 6. The pool was covered with pollen, and it was dirty. The bed was hard, the pillows were not dense and crushed down to a flat pancake , and there were holes in the ceiling. We went down for breakfast in the morning. There were no plates. People were standing around, waiting for them. They said they only bring out five plates at a time. The eggs looked terrible. They were in a pot, the potatoes were dry. They were out of everything and there was no one around to ask for help. So we took off and went to Cracker Barrel. We will never stay at the Hyatt again. read more

Our room didn't have a door to the bathroom. We were given the runaround and told that maintenance would come take a look and there were not any additional rooms available for us to move to. We waited for hours and were never contacted. Finally we decided to go to dinner and were told maintenance gets off at 4:00 pm (we called at 5:00). The maintenance supervisor checked it out while we were at dinner. No one called us. I had to go back again, and the guy at the desk (don't remember his name but he had a small facial tattoo) said there was nothing they could do. We asked "How do you not know that one of your rooms is missing a door to the bathroom?" The answer was that the room was supposed to be marked as unavailable. We have a teenager that was running in the AAU Regional track meet all weekend. He needs his privacy and doesn't want people to see him shower. We were also concerned that if someone had to do #2 the whole room would stink. We were very frustrated and called the customer care line to submit a complaint. The person I spoke with (I didn't get her name) was very helpful and deserves a raise. She apologized, empathized with us, and called another nearby hotel to try to get us in. They didn't have double beds (there are 4 of us) but she did everything she could to try to help us out. She even suggested seeing if we could get the hotel to hang a blanket over the doorway. The staff in the lobby didn't try to offer any accommodation for us. Also, she suggested using the restroom in the lobby to avoid the room stinking if someone did #2. After my abysmal experience at the Choice Hotel, I thought the Hyatt would be an oasis in a town with sketch hotels everywhere, but I had a rough night there and could not sleep. It is aesthetically a nice room but it was so hot in there. If you need a cool room to sleep in, this ain't it, chief. They have control over the thermostat so you can only lower it a certain point. I mean, I get it, energy issues and all but I'm not happy about it. Give me the ac with a knob I can control and let me burrow under the covers for a good night's rest. The other issue was the scratchy sheets. I couldn't believe how horribly uncomfortable these were. These were not acceptable for use other than maybe an army barrack. Two major strikes for having a good night. The third strike were the amount of kids running down the hallways, slamming doors, throwing fits and yelling going on. That's on the parents but the unacceptably hot room snd scratchy sheets are on the hotel. The only bright spot was it's proximity to Farmhaus otherwise I'm so looking forward to sleeping in my own bed. read more

This is probably one of the worse hotels I've been to as far at total experience. First be aware that these room don't have a microwave. I think that is like a basic for hotel the only microwave that is available is on the first floor and you have to share it with the whole hotel then you have to walk your food all the way back during a PANDEMIC that's just gross if I wanna eat I shouldn't have to walk my food around a hotel and on top of that the microwave was dirty! Also this hotel doesn't know how to preform a basic room service we left our room I asked for room service and when we came back all that was done was they dropped off more towels. The beds were not made and trash wasn't taken out. I called up to the front desk and let them know that the beds weren't made and I requested new sheets. Came back for the SECOND TIME and it still wasn't done. I called and spoke to a lady at the front desk named ASHLEY and she was very rude and acted like she didn't care she literally said "I only work at the front desk I can only tell the cleaning people what to do but I don't control them" ITS NOT MY JOB TO MAKE SURE THE CLEANING STAFF DOES THEIR JOB ITS YOURS! It's ridiculous for them to claim to be an upscale hotel and they can't just do the basics. HOW HARD IS IT TO MAKE THE BEDS I shouldn't have to ask multiple times and even still NOT GET IT DONE. I even tried to talk to a manager HEATHER and she offered no help to the situation not even an apology for the poor service! I'm completely DISAPPOINTED with the service at the TRASH HOTEL. The positive first...this place is very convenient off the interstate with several restaurants close by. I was greeted immediately and check in was fast. The lobby area as well as our room was very clean. The negative...we had been in our room maybe an hour when someone knocked on our door. I'm not comfortable answering the door for a stranger, but I looked out the peek hole and the person was wearing a hotel shirt. Turns out it was the maintenance man because the bathroom doors strip that goes down the door needed replacing. I guess the occupants before us called because it was torn. Next time, it would have been nice if the front desk could have called and told us he was coming by. The morning we were leaving I went downstairs to get a cup of coffee. It was 8:50 and the regular coffee was gone. I told one of the ladies working breakfast and she said they wouldn't be making anymore. I'm not even sure what breakfast hours were, but there was still a line of people waiting to get breakfast. Seems like coffee should be available until breakfast is over. Went back up to my room and around 9:00, there was another knock on our door. ‍. It was housekeeping. I guess she wanted to know if we were gone or when we were leaving. Checkout isn't until 11:00. I could have still been sleeping. Next time, I guess I'll put the Do Not Disturb sign out, I've just never had this happen before. I do want to leave this review on a positive note. The night before, we had settled down for the night and were watching tv. Not sure what was going on in the room above us, but it sounded like kids running around the room playing. After hearing the noise for an hour I called the front desk and told them about the noise. She said they would take care of it. And they did. The noise stopped. We did appreciate that. So not the worse hotel, but there are several things that could be improved. read more

I stayed here for a weekend stay and i definitely would recommend anyone staying here. The Hotel customer service was phenomenal. The staff was always attentive to all my needs to ensure I had a good stay. I felt safe that there was always someone at the front desk. The rooms were modern and clean. There is a ton of parking for free. They have breakfast every morning consisting of the norm lite breakfast options ie bacon, eggs, pancakes or French toast cereal, toast, nothing extravagant but it was decent. This hotel also has a pool outside and a really cute patio area. I also loved the fact there was a bar to enjoy a cocktail in the evening they served bar food as well. All in all I would def go stay there again! read more

If you're interested in going to Augusta, GA DO NOT STAY AT THE HYATT PLACE HOTEL located at160 Mason McKnight Jr. Pkwy., you will regret it. Our stay was the most unpleasant and terrible experience we ever endured. We've stayed in many hotels throughout the U.S. and Europe, and by far this hotel made the lowest hotels look like a palace. From the beginning, our stay was unpleasant. We needed a handicap room and reserved the room two months in advance for a handicap access and shower. When we checked in we asked if this request was honored, instead they said no handicap room was available because weren't there ar a certain time and the room was given away to another guest. Mind you we were there according to their policy. We checked in after 3PM. But they gave me a portable shower seat. When we went to the other room, the front door was BROKEN, and did not lock. We notified the front desk and they sent a maintenance man up to our room, but it was not fixed. Because of the pandemic, we were told no room would be cleaned, only every 3 days. Well the third day arrived and out room still wasen't cleaned. We needed fresh towels, toilet paper, garbage removal, soap & bed linen changed. We notified housekeeping staff and they sent a supervisor up to the room and that was settled. The general staff was pleasant & courteous, but the general manager was rude & inconsiderate. We notified corporate of our complaints and were useless, they believed the lies the manager told them. We were told check out of the hotel by 12 noon, or she would have to call the police and be escorted out of the hotel. We were treated like criminals. Corporate, instead of protecting the guests conspired with the manager to have us removed because we complained legitimately as it is our right as paying guests. We left on our own and thankfully, we stayed the rest of the week with our relatives at their house. We were taught in business classes that "the customer is always right". We guess corporate and hotel management go by their own rules. If you complain about problems in the hotel you will be treated like a criminal and be evicted from the premises by a police escort. Don't let this happen to you!! read more

The courteous, professional staff that goes out of their way to help is what sets them apart. The property itself is clean, modern, efficient and elegant. Special kudos to Housekeeping Manager Ashley for insisting on digging through the trash until she found my wife's pearl earrings! Hotel is pretty good. Lots of things were above expectations: - Huge room with separate bedroom and sofa bed in living area. Could be easily confused with regular 1-bedroom apartment. - Ceiling lights, including bedroom! Someone has finally understood that not everyone in US enjoy life in the dark. - Surprisingly good breakfast. In addition to standard waffles and bacon, they had very tasty sausages with potatoes under melted cheese. A rare thing even for much more expensive hotels. - Somfy roller shades with blackouts. - Two big TVs. - Powerful USB chargers. My major complaint is a weak water pressure in the shower. Not a huge problem for an adult, but I wouldn't try to wash a kid. Another issue is a temperature in the lobby & breakfast area. Most of the people were sitting in hoodies or sweaters (it was end of May). And there was a weird smell in the room, but we got used to it. Still, a very good hotel for its money. I recently spent nearly 1 month in Augusta, GA while my mother was in the Doctors Hospital Burn Unit. I tried a couple of hotels before finding Hyatt Place and unfortunately encountered many of the nightmares that frequent travelers and hotel guests experience while on the road. Not at Hyatt Place though! This little gem of a hotel is brand new, modern and spotless. The rooms are spacious, well appointment and the beds are super comfortable. The staff is amazing and were always there to greet me with a smile every morning as I left and a kind inquiry as to my mother's progress each night as I returned. I had to extend my stay 3 times and they were completely accommodating, going out of their way to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. Thank you Hyatt Place for giving me a great home-away-from-home during what could have been a very stressful month. You made all the difference! read more

I had a really positive stay here overall. The hotel is brand new, and it still smells that way. It's nice staying someplace when you know that few people have tread there before you. Naturally, everything in the rooms is new and works well. The hotel is well organized--when I arrived, during busy Masters Week, I was handed my room key and was in my room within a minute of entering the property. Free parking is abundant. The location is on the outskirts of Augusta, but this means it is quiet and laid back. Anyone familiar with Augusta knows the Washington Road area is a complete zoo during Masters week, so staying a ways away was actually a nice treat. There's also a delicious and entirely reasonable restaurant, FarmHaus, right across the street, so that does afford patrons of this hotel the opportunity to get a meal and a drink without having to drive/take a ride someplace. My only critique is I wish that housekeeping would be slightly more conscientious when entering and exiting rooms. I found that they used the door jam and would allow the door to slam very, very loudly over and over as they entered and exited the rooms to access their stocking carts. I would hope in the future that housekeeping would be more mindful of the fact that not all guests are up and out of their rooms by 8 AM. Some people, especially in town for the lead up to the Masters, are out late and would like to sleep in. read more

The amenities and decor here are great. They have a wonderful breakfast included with your stay that's more than just the normal carb overload that other hotels offer. The only negative is that it could've been cleaner in my room. There were hand prints on the wall that could've been cleaned off with a washcloth and the housekeeping service did the bare minimum when cleaning the room. The beds are plush but a they have great pillows. I'll definitely come back here to give it another try when in Augusta. read more

Booked a room October 15 in the AM to stay the same night. Arrived at 10 PM that night with my son to check in. First off the girl at the front desk was more interested in the guy that was trying to pick her up that had wandered over from the bar than she was about taken care of the guests. When she finally did acknowledge me she let me know that she was sorry but they had given my room away, but not to worry, I wouldn't be charged for the room. Gee thanks, great to know that late at night I had to try to find another place to stay, but don't worry I wasn't going to be charged for the room I had a reservation for and was not given. And to top things off the manager calls me two hours later at midnight to inform me they had given my room away. I told her thanks for the heads up I found out two hours ago when I went to check in. Breakfast is from 6am - 9am which is a little short if you're like me and like to sleep in but checkout isn't until 12 which is a big plus if you're up in time for breakfast. The breakfast was pretty good, and the view from the dining area is breathtaking.
