A cozy coffee shop in Goleta, close to UCSB campus. A great place to study but looks like seats fill up really quickly. I ordered an iced Kozy (pumpkin spice syrup, cinnamon, caramel) with oat milk and it was pretty good -- think Cinnamon Toast Crunch, but in coffee form. This is one of the drinks from their fall menu. There weren't too many people when I visited, so they made my drink pretty quickly. Would visit again!

My friend and I have come back a few times and their vanilla lattes were just not as good as the first time. We came back today and were severely disappointed by the honey vanilla lattes. My friend got one iced and i got mine hot. Mine was not pleasant at all and maybe it was the honey? But my friend's was awful and left such a bad taste in my mouth. Like i literally had to eat something to get it gone. Service was fine and the speed in which they got drinks out was good enough. We won't be going back though. Bleh!

I live for their sweet treats as well as their honey vanilla latte! Also appreciate how their sit down section has chargers :)

Decided to try this place out since me and my roommate have been eying it since it opened! It was really nice inside and had a good amount of seating for groups or individuals. The interior had greenery and would be nice for a study sesh or coffee chat. The baristas are nice and our drinks were made quickly. My roommate ordered a pumpkin munchkin chai and I ordered a raspberry mocha. Both of our drinks were really good, but the chai lacked pumpkin flavor and the mocha lacked raspberry flavor. However, both of the drinks tasted great. The pumpkin munchkin chai had all the spices and was bright and sweet and the raspberry mocha had a really good balance of chocolate and coffee. We just wished the namesake flavors came through. Overall it was a good experience and I totally plan on coming back because the drinks were well made and I am very interested in trying other drinks.

First time here, I got the highly recommended, honey vanilla latte which is absolutely excellent! Definitely would recommend getting this if it's your first time and it's perfect over ice. I did get it with an extra shot of espresso and on Oatmilk. I would definitely come back and honestly get the exact same drink it's that good!! The name says it all. It's very welcoming and friendly no issues at all. FYI The vanilla is made in house. Fantastic!

Got one of the seasonal drinks (blu, a blueberry matcha latte), and it was delicious! Friendly service and nice ambiance. A very pleasant place to spend an early morning.

If you want some cafe time in the evening, looks like you have to come out to Isla Vista. They are open until 8 pm. Yay! Their coffee from Morro Bay light and dark. I had the dark, of course, and it was fresh, excellent. Next time I will try one of those yummy sounding seasons drinks ( will be hard to choose). Great spots outside and inside to study, read, have a meeting, a sweet conversation, etc....very welcoming here. Friendly barista. One of the nicest cafe's....and again, yay! open at night.

I LOVE THIS PLACE. It's so cute and trendy and the outside seating area is so nice. This is my go to spot for a blended matcha, make sure to add some vanilla because by itself it can be bitter. It's a really nice coffee shop with good vibes. The service is always great. Super nice workers here. Id recommend this place over other coffee shops in IV.

I ventured over to Isla Vista to give the newest coffee shop in town a try. Their grand opening was on May 19th, 2023 so I tend be a bit lenient--unlike some of my fellow Yelpers ;). You can't miss it given the white neon sign with "KOZY" in capitalized letters. The outdoor patio is just as large as the inside; in other words, not a lot of seating or space for people to work or study. I am, however, pleased to see a place that is modern and clean within the heart of Isla Vista. The dark grey tile with wood and a pop of greenery from plants = Adorable! When I stepped up the counter, I was in awe at the variety of fun syrups and flavors (.75 cents). Alternative milks are also offered for .75 cents (oat, almond and coconut). The fella at the register was very friendly and patient with my indecisiveness. I ended up going with an Iced Oat Milk Vanilla Honey Latte. It was not overly sweet, thanks to the honey, but extremely enjoyable and well-balanced. Their espresso isn't extremely strong or acidic but mellow. I was tempted by a Salted Caramel Oat Latte, yet thought it may be more enjoyable hot. I'll just have to return for that and their Maple Sea Salt pastry. Gimme sea salt anything and everything! Until next time, Kozy.

AMAZING! Might be my favorite coffee shop in the Santa Barbara area. The inside of modern and a nicer vibe than most IV businesses. I love the matcha. It is high quality, earthy matcha. Nice alternative from pre-sweetened Starbucks matcha. They do the matcha lattes here with an oat milk base. I had it one day with a shot of espresso, which enhanced the earthiness and was a great way to caffeinate. This week, I treated myself to their mango matcha! Now this was 12/10. Not too sweet, and that note of tropical sweetness really made the matcha flavor pop. They also have great pastries here. I had a kouign amann, which they warmed up for me and it was so gooey and buttery. I will keep coming here because I work nearby! Kozy is a great addition to the IV area.

Isla Vista has gotten a new coffee spot and Kozy... I am so impressed! Kozy is right on the money with their name as it was so cute and cozy for everyone inside. This is such an amazing find and I have to shout-out my student Adryanna for showing me this amazing spot and I will definitely be coming back in the future! Kozy has recently opened up and wow what an impression! I walked in to find such a great aesthetic as well as a clean and friendly environment. We were immediately greeted and helped and it was packed inside as well. Our Barista answered all our questions and was extremely helpful and kind! I went with one of their seasonal drinks which was a Raspberry Mocha and it was to die for! The coffee was a little on the bitter side which is perfect for my flavor profile, but for others I wanted to add that note in. Overall it was flavorful, bold and a perfect balance of flavors for me. My student ordered a blended Matcha with sweetener and confirmed how delightful and tasty it was! Overall this is such an amazing spot and if you are early enough a great study spot for students! They had a variety of baked goods and treats which I want to try next time I am in. Overall I was so happy to try this spot and had an amazing experience. As this is in IV, parking is little to none so biking or walking would be best. There are limited tables and seats as well so be on the lookout when coming to check it out. Best of luck Kozy and cannot wait to come back to try the other seasonal and regular menu items!

This is a gem in IV. Giving third wave cafe vibes in the heart of "downtown" Isla Vista, it's a refreshing sight amidst the dated feel of many other places in town. The feel of the place is definitely reminiscent to CAJÉ on Haley. Tried the plain latte to get an accurate gauge of the taste and quality of coffee and latte making at this establishment. I asked about the origin of the coffee beans used in the espresso but it seemed that they weren't too sure regarding the origin of the beans themselves. From my untrained tongue I could tell that it was likely a medium dark roast, likely from central/South America. The milk was steamed a little fast and didn't have the routine natural sweetness that arises from a properly textured milk, however service was friendly and quick. Will be coming back to try some of their sweetened drinks.

Stopped by during finals week, short line but moved to the quickly. I hoped to study there, but every table was full. The interior had a a few tables and they have a nice outdoor seating area as well! I got an unsweetened matcha and I was very pleasantly surprised by the strong matcha taste. I always order unsweetened matcha at cafes and they come back milky or still too sweet, but my drink was a good ratio of matcha to milk! Next time I come I look forward to trying their syrups with the matcha.

Barely any matcha in the matcha latte, I asked for vanilla which costed me like $.70 and the drink was still bland and flavorless.

The strawberry matcha is soooo good, and it's definitely the best matcha I've had from a coffee shop.

The young lady up front was very welcoming and provided amazing service! This place has been so popular on social media and they are known for their matcha specials. If you follow them on instagram they post their daily specials and provide great updates of their inventory and wait times (a genius idea may I add). My personal favorites were the matcha einspanner and their strawberry matcha latte. For mochi donuts I especially enjoyed their lemon blueberry ricotta and brown butter turon specials. Inside they have nice seating and some stools but it gets very busy so the seating area can fill up. They also provide umbrellas if there is a long line and a hot sun outside. I highly recommend this place so be sure to check it out!

We got the regular matcha latte and the strawberry matcha latte which were both delicious and had lots of matcha in it which we appreciated. We also liked that the drinks weren't too sweet. We also tried the mochi donuts, mango cheesecake was good but Thai tea Oreo was weird. Ube muffin was decent but overpriced for the size. Wish we could've tried the brioche but they don't sell them until noon. Overall solid spot for matcha and pastries!
