Our got to hand roll sushi. My kids love this place. Great for snacks, air plane snacks, after workout snacks, lunch and takeouts. Our favorites: spam roll, California roll, and chicken Katz roll. They do have a great selection of sushi and sushi platters as well as takeout mini, bowls and regular plates lunch.

Front counter

Very respectable and polite sushi stop, as are all the Kozo Sushi's in town. For delivery they are very prompt.

This was my first time at this location . The sushi was the standard Kozo fair. I'm taking off a star because of poor sevice. I entered the store, and there was a lady working. She looked up at me and continued doing what she was doing. I got closer to the register, and she glanced at me and continued to work, not saying anything to me. Anther customer came in, and she stopped and asked me what I wanted. The other customer that came in did not get any acknowledgment . A couple of minutes later, she finally took his order. Hope this was the exception Enjoy

Sushi my way fast! That's what my OG Kozo Sushi has always been. Gosh it takes me back to the days when I'd visit a family friend who'd always host the ultimate party gathering which was my dad's best friend and would always be so generously kind in every way. Mom would always make somethings that she knows they love but in addition pick up the platter from Kozo Sushi. Fast forward to their insane menu they have as it expanded to bowls, udon and even a make your own plate combo is quite mind boggling though I still do love their classic sushi as it's the nostalgia I've grown to love and is still the same in my opinion and knowing that I can walk in and get my order done the way I like is the best and they are very fast making it all to order. This location is in the Old Stadium Square so parking can be quite a challenge at times but I never really have problems finding a stall if any with a tiny bit of patience. The shop is quite small and nope no seating whatsoever though the vibe here is nice just a grab and go place is really what this locations is. Thank you!

Hardly any ume once again .. location is convenient but service is not the greatest and sushi rice is always hardened rice is not freshly cooked because I go there at 9:30 every time

Handrolls are made super fast. Makis and bowls take a little bit longer but still really fast. Kozo Sushi is ideal for lunch to go when you're short on time. The food tastes fresh and are reasonably priced. Found out today there's restrooms in the building! You can borrow a key in exchange for your ID. Restrooms are on the second floor, accessible from the building entrance that's by Lunar Tea (formerly the hotpot place). The only con about this place is the parking situation. Limited stalls for so many businesses including Lunar Tea, Cocina de Roja, Golden Eagle, L&L, India Bazaar, A Cake Life, and Aloha Vietnamese Cuisine. Parking gets hairy during dinner time. I've seen people disregard the time limits on the parking stalls.

Rotten egg sushi for Easter?

At first I thought it was shoyu in the egg. but when I tasted it it was sour and smelled funny and a little slimy. Uhh never again. Seems like they changed to a Chinese owner . Mouldy egg is not my preferred sushi flavor

Looking for a fast to go bite? Kozo Sushi is the perfect spot for a sushi delight! Waiting for my favorite local Pet Supply Store "Heart of Town" to open, I cruised down King Street looking for a bite to eat! Seeing the friendly Sushi Chef Logo Bowing gracefully over the entrance at 2334 King Street caught my eye and pulling into the parking lot, I decided to check out the menu. Of course The "Don" menu drew me in right away! I decided to go with aSweet Chili Chicken Don Bowl - Great crispy fried chicken with spicy sweet chili covered with green onion & seaweed strips over a bed of sticky rice. Very good (More rice than chicken though) The Udon noodles also looked like a great addition so O got the Udon noodle Sushi Platter with a delightfully arrangement of scrumptious sushi bites. Very good for a quick bite. Counter space seating is small but comfy if you want to dine in. Most orders are placed to go. Call ahead and you will be in and out quickly. Very friendly service. Visa Master Card accepted!

Best deals to order big platters of sushi for family gatherings or for individual indulgence. I had Kozo Sushi platters for two days straight. Oh my. The food tasted better when sharing with others but it was still great when I devoured the (almost) whole platter myself. I ordered this Junior Set plus two pieces of inari through Uber Eats.

I don't know what happened here. It used to be decent around 10 years ago. The quality sucks now. Tasted dry

I usually go to the one on Keeaumoku by Walmart. However, that one went out of business, so I had to come here. This location is across from Stadium Park, next to Home Sweet Cafe. We picked up one of the Aloha sets for a potluck. It contained 42 pieces of assorted sushi, mostly nigiri. The seafood was fresh. I liked the shrimp nigiri and the ahi nigiri. I called the order in. I got there 10 minutes later and the platter was ready to go.

On a Sunday afternoon, they seemed to be busy. My order was ahi lovers and ahi poke bowl deluxe $9.99. The ahi fish that is served for poke bowl is the not best quality fish because the fish could be the scrap part that is the grainy gristle hard to chew. Only 2 pieces are good. Employee serves the the good ahi fish probably for sashimi. Sushi roll like dragon roll are the better choice

I decided to finally go out of my usual choices and try Ginza out. Ginza is located in the main ward building (the one with the theater), on the side, between Men's Warehouse and L&L. We got seated fairly quickly and was given water. Upon ordering we were also given edamame to nom on while we waited. We also decided to order two rolls, an AAB combo set to try a variety of things and fried calamari for food measure. We got: * Jen's Paradise: 9.7/10, heavily recommend. I was really craving sear salmon and it definitely helped to satisfy that craving. I didn't realize that the roll part itself ONLY has shrimp tempura within the nori (no crab salad, avo, etc). * Bomb: 8/10, clearly I lacked my reading comprehension skills this day because I didn't realize that this was baked... so when it came out and the entire roll was fully cooked I was heart broken. It tasted good, just not what I particular want at a sushi restaurant. * Chicken Karaage: 5/10. I do NOT recommend this. They remined me of mochiko chicken, but these were not very meaty or flavorful. * Fried Calamari: 10/10, fried to perfectly in my opinion, each piece was plump and delicious. * Miso Butterfish: 8.9/10, it was good, flaky and flavorful. Just not something I would order again, but it was good to try esp it is something they're supposedly known for. * Mixed Tempura: 10/10, yum I love mixed tempura, no notes, it was hot and crunchy. I would like to mention that our wait was quite long. I don't know why because they weren't like SUPER busy. It took 10-15 for us to get the miso soup and salad for the combo. +5 for the calamari, +5 for the first roll then a few minutes after for the rest. I feel like 15-20 minutes for our first actual item (calamari) to come is kind of crazy, it kept being brought to the wrong table (2-3 times). Our server apologized so its not a huge deal. Otherwise, I still enjoyed our experience. I would definitely come back again to try the rolls I would enjoy more (utilizing my reading skills a bit better LOL).

There is something deeply confusing about Mitch's Fish Market & Sushi Bar…read more Not bad confusing.Worse. Identity-crisis confusing. Because the fish?Excellent. Cold, clean, glistening with that dangerous little shimmer that tells you somebody in the supply chain actually cared. You can taste the quality immediately. The kind of quality that silences a table for half a second. And credit where it is due: almost everything I tried ranged from very good to genuinely great. But then the room begins speaking. And suddenly the spell breaks. The atmosphere feels like someone took a serious sushi counter, stripped away all sensuality, all elegance, all ritual, then dropped it inside a fluorescent island diner where exhausted civilians came to discuss parking validation and Costco receipts. It is the culinary equivalent of wearing a Rolex with orthopedic sneakers. The contradiction never stops humming beneath the experience. You sit there eating beautiful fish while surrounded by an energy that feels strangely... transactional. Heavy. Casual in the least flattering way. A room with no mystery. No seduction. No gravity. Like Zippy's accidentally wandered into the tuna trade and struck gold. And on an island like Oahu, where atmosphere matters almost as much as the fish itself that becomes a real problem. Because sushi is not merely consumption. It is theater.Restraint.Texture.Whispered precision. The best sushi spots on Oahu understand this instinctively. They understand that exceptional fish alone is not enough. You are paying for transportive experience. For mood. For elegance. For the feeling that the evening exists slightly outside ordinary life. At Mitch's, the fish reaches for Tokyo while the room drags you back toward a tired strip mall off the freeway. And then there's the crowd. Not evil people. Not rude people. Just an oddly low-rent energy orbiting genuinely premium seafood. The kind of room where one table is eating remarkable otoro while another feels one argument away from discussing used-car financing over soy sauce packets. It creates dissonance. Especially considering the prices. Because at those prices, you begin comparing the full experience not merely the fish quality and that is where Mitch's stumbles hard. There are multiple sushi spots across Oahu that equal or surpass the seafood while also delivering beauty, atmosphere, intimacy, and actual emotional texture. So what remains is this strange contradiction: Mitch's serves fish far above the dignity of its own ambience Which almost makes it fascinating. Would I be back - no . You can get same and better quality fish, much better vine, better part of town for the same Price.

My fiance won a gift card actually 2 of them (from his coworker whom could not get a reservation secured), we knew we had to make the trip over before they officially close. We ordered the short ribs, lobster appetizer, hamachi crudo and lastly sashimi moriawase to finish food palate. Lukki lemon dessert was great way to end to night. Ordered the Milk tea bouquet cocktail while my better half had water ( either way the food coma knock him out cold the rest of the night lol). To be honest, it was difficult to determine which dish was the best because the staff kept quality there despite it being busy every night since they announce the closure. Sashimi moriawase, fish was so fresh, reminded me of my time spent in Hokkaido and Sapporo. Short ribs was soft and rich in flavor. Both me and my fiance liked the lukki lemon dessert, like lemon meringue pie but broken down version. Other things we got were: Nigiri flight (5 piece sampler of there premium nigiri,) various nigiri...Aji, Kampachi, Tai, and Hamachi. The sampler was a good starting point while the others were ok. The chefs and staff also had a good sense of humor.
