I went about 8 months ago and the waiter that took my order, brought me the wrong ramen bowl. It was still delicious, just unfortunate that he wasn't really listening. And then I went a few months ago and was disappointed because the waitress had just received multiple to go orders and she told me I would have to come back. At the time I was a bit frustrated and decided I wouldn't go back. I'll be honest I was a bit hangry. I just got in town and gave it another chance! So glad I did! I ordered the Tonkatsu ramen. Delicious. Savory. Exactly what I wanted on a rainy dark day! I've also had the Ford Ranch Filet mignon ramen, which was also savory and warming. I didn't have the experience of too much chimichurri. I always get the spice bomb. I'm glad I went back! Still my favorite place to go to when I get into town! Thank you!!!

We were blessed with the first of their new beef dish they haven't launched on their menu quite yet and it was perfection. The beef melted and was savory and absolutely delicious. Veggies were hot and cooked perfectly. - Steak pho - broth was delightful, clean and fresh tasting, with thin slices of tender meat. Noodles were a nice consistency and not mushy. I loved it even more with the bean sprouts, jalapeno, basil and a touch of lime. Everything was timed perfectly, spring rolls came out first for us to enjoy. Other people tell me it is their favorite Clearlake restaurant. There have been fewer and fewer restaurants in town since many of my favorite places shut down due to the COVID shutdown a few years back. I recently went back there with a few friends. I decided to avoid the eggplant dish, just in case. Most of the time I eat vegetarian. One friend had a shrimp walnut dish that looked really good. The shrimp was properly cooked and seasoned. My one friend also ordered an appetizer with fried wontons and little cream puffs and some other things. I would normally not order deep fried things because they tend to be greasy and hard for me to digest. These appetizers were not greasy and were tasty. The portion size was good for all our meals. The cost per meal was reasonable compared with other local restaurants. The vegetables were ample and very fresh. What I ordered was the Vegetable Egg Foo Young. It came piled with fresh vegetables atop the egg. I think of egg foo young as a Chinese omelette. The amount and quality of the vegetables makes this dish special for me. I have now been back 3 times, making sure to order that dish each time. One time I also ordered Mu Shu Vegetables which is akin to Chinese tacos with a plum sauce condiment. Yummy also. My sweetheart ordered cashew broccoli and liked that so much that is what they always order now. She also especially loved the abundant of properly cooked fresh broccoli. We always eat our fill and still have another full meal at home with our leftovers. Magic Wok and Kour Thai are my two favorite restaurants in Clearlakes. We also like certain Mexican restaurant across from Food etc. but that is in slot #3 because the Mexican restaurant does not serve many vegetables. It is otherwise hard to be a vegetarian in ClearLake. Lucky we sometimes eat fish. The only complaints I have about Magic Wok recently is that sometimes the tables are sticky, but the Lady proprietor usually wipes down the table before you order. I don't recommend touching the table before that. The other complaint I have is that the path to the toilets are obstructed with boxes and supplies which makes it impossible to get back to the facilities with my walker. Because of the bathroom access problem we have elected to order takeout if I need to use the facilities.
