Extremely pleasant service and awesome food. However l don't like that I need to have a certain amount of words to describe my experience.

In the early days, they had several selections imported from England on draft. They still have Old Speckled Hen and Guinness but many of the other taps are occupied by great local craft beers. They have a full bar and make nice drinks. They also have a decent wine list. The food is very good featuring some dishes you wouldn't expect to find in a British Pub such as Jamaican Jerk Quesadilla (highly recommended!). Another dish I am fond of is the Lemon Chicken. They also have fantastic wings and burgers! Now for the traditional Pub dishes: *They have the best Fish & Chips in town!* Their Guinness Stew is authentic and very tasty! Their Bangers and Mash (Mild English sausages and mashed potatoes) is authentic and quite tasty too. Many people really like the Shepherds Pie and it is a good representation of the dish but not the best I've had. Of course, the best that I've ever had was in a small family owned pub in Ireland so that's not all that surprising! In the traditional British pub style, this place is very chill and is a great place to talk with friends over good food and drink. This place has been around for years and has stature in the evolving craft beer market in Charlotte. The service has always been great every time! It is a Charlotte legend and is NOT to be missed! Cheers!

You can never go wrong with boneless chicken thighs, Shepard's Pie, Bangers and Mash and their burger is one of the better ones in Charlotte! It is a great place to watch an NFL game on Sunday if you are looking for a more low-key place that isn't rowdy. Although they do get packed in the evenings.

I thought it would be a good spot for my mentee and I got spend time with each other. Upon walking in, I realized it wasn't the best idea but we stuck it out and sat upstairs where it was quieter. The bartender had us order from the bar as well as our drinks and told us it would be brought up once finished. We both ordered burgers but they never asked us temp preferences. So minutes into then preparing our meals, I ran back down to ask if we could choose the temp. It disappointed me to see not one server came to check on us yet they stopped at the other tables multiple times. Not to mention for what you pay, no one even came to check on us or get us a refill. While I understand we chose upstairs, you would think at least pass thru once. But besides dropping off the plates, we never saw anyone again until we went downstairs to pay. Truthfully as good as the burger was I don't think I'd be back. That was the only reason this place gets 3 stars.

Standout server, Ashley, was fabulous and accommodated my request for iced coffee, even though it wasn't on the menu. Seeing her hustle and serve several tables, it was clear she goes out of her way to make customers happy. Loved her! Tables were clean and spacious and my breakfast sandwiches with egg, bacon and gouda was really tasty. It was a lot of food for one person, with the potatoes side too. A solid meal before flying home. I didn't try any of their brews because it was early and I was working...but next time!

The German biers are some of the best I've tried. Both the Cooper altbier and Hornets Nest were excellent while their porter was a little too heavy for me. There's a full bar for the non beer drinkers . OMB features a huge selection of food items including German classics like pork schnitzel, wursts and the Bavarian or classic Jumbo pretzels. I'd recommend the sampler plate with the Jalapeño Cheddar Bratwurst as one choice ( you get three) and Jumbo Pretzel with Cooper Bier cheese & Düsseldorf mustard. The sides, such as their German potato salad, red cabbage and sauerkraut are very good. In addition theres a good selection of sandwiches, burgers, salads to choose from. The outside venue is amazing with ample outside seating featuring a fire pit, corn hole ( collect bags at the bar), children's playground and a water station for pets. Overall a great place to grab a beer and enjoy some authentic German style food at reasonable pricing. In addition OMB features private rooms for special events. One note parking could be problematic when it gets busy on weekends or special occasions but if you're willing to walk you'll find parking somewhere .

My husband ordered the homemade meatloaf sandwich with coleslaw. We shared a hummus appetizer. Overall, the food was good. My husband really liked his meatloaf sandwich. My classic turkey sandwich was a bit underwhelming for the price. I think $17.99 for an ordinary turkey sandwich is a lot since the cheese wasn't even melted, nor was the bread toasted. My husband's meatloaf sandwich was $19.99 and his sweet tea was $3.99. The hummus appetizer, which was a few mouthfuls for two people to share, was $5.00. Our bill was a whopping $59.00 and some change, including tip. We skipped dessert. I think a little piece of cake was around $15.99. If we choose to return I'd order something else to justify the price. The atmosphere is nice and our server was pleasant. I'd say try it out if you're in the neighborhood.
