We went to Pinky's for lunch and it was a fun time! The server was very friendly. The food was delicious with an interesting twist to American tavern/bbq. I got the Pinky burger which is a normal burger with chili on top. I never thought I'd love chili on a burger but it was great! Waffle fries were crispy and the chicken tacos were delicious as well. You don't usually see a place that can make a good burger and a good taco but Pinky's can

Great place for burgers. I had the French dip, fried squash appetizer and my co worker had the pinky burger. I didn't get food pics but did get a couple of the outside. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat inside in the ac for a super humid day.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Lemonade and ice tea topped us off.

The service and food was great! The white trash burger was a standout. The pimpin fries were like 50% cheese if that's your thing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There was lots of seating and TVs to watch soccer games.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The only issue I can think of is the burgers were served in a really small container which made it hard to grab, but that's being nitpicky.

Couldn't come to Charlotte without trying Pinky's that we saw on triple D. It's was nice to find a generous sized Pinky's parking lot just around the corner. It's on the street to the left when facing the entrance. As we were walking towards the entrance I overheard one gal in a party of 5 call it a secret hidden gem. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Not much of a secret given how crowded it was when we entered.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Looked as though some people were waiting for an outside table but we were seated quickly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was refreshing to see that our table cleaned and the floor swept around it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was timely starting with water, mocktails, appetizer and sandwich. All the food tasted fresh and properly cooked. There was enough leftovers to satisfy us later that evening when we got back home. The crab balls were flavorful and tartar sauce delicious. Cole slaw was unique and enjoyed. The philly cheese steak sandwich was perfect. The au jus was a nice addition with a slight vinegary bite. We normally don't do specialty drinks but the mocktails were intriguing; the blueberry one tasted like liquid jam. The cream soda had just the right amount of lavender. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was fun to look around at all the memoribilia and notice that the World Cup final pregame show was on above the bar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There are a lot of moving parts to this operation and they all seem well oiled and moving smoothly.

2nd time visiting from California and second time at Pinky's! It's a must when we come to town! Delicious pimp'n fries - tried it with veggie chili but next time I'll try bacon. Serving size was good for sharing. Fried pickles with ranch were the perfect blend of crispy, crunchy, salty and tangy. Ranch was good too. Got the build your own pterodactyl burger with pimento cheese and pepper jack and substituted on Texas toast. Heaven! Also tried the velvet Elvis which is an interesting blend of peanut butter, honey, banana, cream cheese and bacon.. surprisingly good despite our initial hesitation. Service was amazing all around, attentive & quick. Parking lot is small but extra parking was plentiful in the dirt lot a short walk next door. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor is fun and eclectic - inside was not huge but there was a lot of patio seating on a perfect night.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We'll be back again next time we visit North Carolina!

Got to try pinky's west side grill while visiting charlotte ! Featured in dinners ,drive ins and dives ! We had to check it out ! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside is very fun and creative , plenty of seating, and they have a back patio area that is heated during winter which is very nice ![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was fabulous we got seated and served pretty quickly ! I tried the let's get fizzical which was very nice . And the kicker chicken tacos ! The tacos were really good ( obviously they are known for their burgers and I took a bite out of my husbands burger . And hands down go for a burger it was soooo good) but if you want something lighter ( like me ) the tacos (and wraps ) are also an amazing option ! Definitely a good option with amazing tacos and burgers and good drinks ! Also had a variety of vegetarian options as well ! Also for dessert we got the banana pudding which I enjoyed as well !

A fun restaurant with super attentive and friendly service. My friend and I shared the waffle fries with pimento cheese and it was smothered and so tasty! Had their special purple rain but asked for no lavender and it was really good as well. Ordered the Patsy Melt and it was a really good burger, huge meat patty. We then ordered the banana pudding and it is a super big serving. Creamy and plenty of Nilla wafers. Washed it down with an espresso martini and really happy with our visit here. Would definitely be back!

Been years since I been here but had a craving for their pimento cheese fries I remember loving it as they call them "Pimp'n Fries. I could only hope they were all I remembered. Also since I pulled up figured I would also grab something I have never tried so I got the Crab Puppies. I came close to closing around 9:40pm (closing is at 10) but the staff was still very friendly and cool and not annoyed I was ordering but I did order to-go and my food was very good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Pinkys is still a fun spot to sit inside or outside. It definitely gives off a hipster cooler-than-a-diner vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Very busy but always good.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had the fried pickles, cheese waffle fries, a vegan burger (not the best), hot dog, cheeseburger, and tater tots. I had a delicious cider. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a small area but full of character.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The outdid space is enjoyable too.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Met up with some family at Pinky's for dinner. It was a very busy night. When we arrived there was a bit of a wait so we put our names on the list. After waiting for 20 minutes or so we were concerned that we still had not been called to be seated. After checking in with the hostess, it turns out they gave our table to another party. They fixed the mistake as soon as they could and we were seated in the next 10 minutes. We ordered a couple of drinks and some appetizers to start. The bar gave us the incorrect drink sizes at first, but again, the mistake was fixed easily and the waitress was very kind and apologetic about all the mishaps. My drink (the pain killer) was strong and delicious. We ordered crab bites and buffalo shrimp for the table. My recipe would be to skip the crab bites, but the shrimp were good! For dinner I ordered the half cheesesteak which was just okay. If I went back, I would try something else. All in all the customer service really made up for the mishaps here and earned an extra star. If I'm ever back in town I may come back knowing my party would be taken care of well.

So while me and R were the candlelight concert for Bridgerton. My husband had passed this gem and stopped in for a bit. He brought me back the next day. In such a great location an old Volkswagen repair garage. This grill was featured two different times on Guy Fieri's Diners drive-in and dives Friday night J got the corn dog shrimp the night before and later that night even cold out the fridge they were just so good while we were here Saturday, we ended up getting an adult Capri Sun and my husband got a corpse survivor that Sam herself made. Everyone there had a smile and a warm welcome. The vibe was eclectic and its funky feel was just what we needed this hot afternoon We chose the crab balls done in hush puppie batter.. sweet Lorraine, these were amazing and the homemade Tartar sauce was such a perfect compliment to them.

Finally got to try this restaurant with a few friends and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. The staff were upbeat and genuinely seemed happy to be there! There was always someone there to take our order, trash or grab anything we could have needed which I really appreciate. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance of the restaurant was playful and edgy but still a great place to bring kids.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I loved all the menu options, our food was top tier and the drinks were excellent as well. Our food came out quickly and everything was fresh! The kinda fried turkey wrap I had is one of the best meals I've ever had. Our crab puppies were a unique appetizer that was fried to perfection and even the waffle fries were just the right amount of crispy and fluffy. Prices were also unbeatable and I still had leftovers to take back home! Pinky's is definitely high on my list of favorites in Charlotte, it's a must have from now on any time I visit the area!

When we decided to come to charlotte our main focus was all the food. This place came up and knew I wanted to stop by while we were in town. Such a fun place. The decor is interesting. The employees working together so you're never waiting around for refills or if you have questions. Prices were reasonable and the food tasted amazing. We tried the cheese wontons. My husband got the flounder plate and I had the corndog shrimp. We definitely didn't leave hungry and actually had to take a to go container with us. Would definitely recommend.

Plenty of Starters to tempt to your Tummy!

Ask the Community - Pinky's Westside Grill

What do they fry their stuff in?

We use vegetable oil, in a shared fryer.

Is this business open for indoor or outdoor dining?

My wife & I were at Pinky's a few weeks ago. They were open regular hours for indoor and outdoor seating. The staff all wore masks as well.

Can they make the hotdog well done?

    Of course! Just ask.

Is the outdoor area open for dining?

I don't think it is at this time. We did take out.

Are they still in business? The website is down. The number doesn't work.

According to their Facebook, their Spectrum cable/internet and phone services are all down. I'm confident that this is temporary and they're still in business!

Do you have to tip here?

    Yes.

Set in a charming old home, the aesthetic is incredibly welcoming with a quaint downstairs bar, a gorgeous outdoor patio, and cozy seating upstairs--there truly isn't a bad seat in the house. The staff and service are always exceptional, which only adds to the amazing experience. They offer daily specials alongside a rotating and standing menu, making every visit unique. There are so many standout dishes that it can be hard to choose, but my ultimate go-to is the seared ahi tuna salad. I don't know how they make that sesame and shoyu dressing, but it is one of a kind! I also highly recommend the hummus, the baked marinated Vermont goat cheese, "The Usual," and any of their steak options. Definitely don't skip dessert! On my last trip, I tried the strawberry shortcake, and it was divine. The goat cheese and cherry cheesecake and the rotating sorbets are also phenomenal. They have always had, in my estimation, the best French onion soup around and I was craving it, so off I went. The restaurant off East Boulevard is an eclectic sort of place, and in my memory the interior hasn't ever changed. The wood is dark, the tables a bit worn and packed together to give a slightly claustrophobic feel, and the decor is always vaguely counterculture. For people who like NoDa and Plaza Midwood (before its recent transformation), it's homey as can be. I enjoyed the familiarity of its unpretentious surroundings as I took a seat in a tiny corner booth. Delighted to note that the French onion soup is as delicious as ever, with a richly flavored broth and a generous amount of bread and cheese baked in. While the quality hasn't diminished, thank heavens, the size has gone from a bowl to a cup. As it was my upcharged side I didn't mind terribly but still. Alas. Kudos to the kitchen for letting me have my soup before my sandwich was delivered, but here is where things went a little south. I had ordered The Usual, one of their trademark dishes, a hot open-faced chicken salad sandwich on a baguette topped with asparagus, mushrooms and cheese. It too has been the victim of shrinkflation, about 2/3 as big as once it was. Again, didn't mind terribly much but the toppings themselves were scant: three small strips of jarred or canned asparagus, four slices of mushroom. Okay, everything is expensive these days, but the edges of the sandwich were burned and the filling was cool, meaning the salamander setting was off and no one checked it before sending it out or putting it down. I might have considered sending it back but that's when my server disappeared. My water glass sat empty for half my meal and was never refilled. Even paying the check was sluggish. So I give the current state 300 East a solid three with a disappointed sigh because they seem to be phoning it in. Really great French onion soup, though.

The first time was in November 2025 and 2nd time March 2026 where the bartenders were professional, welcoming, knowledgeable, and made some of the best Bloody Marys we've had in Charlotte. The food was excellent, and we left both times excited to come back. Unfortunately, this Sunday's visit (around 2 p.m.) felt like a different restaurant. It was much busier, and service was noticeably lacking. We waited quite a while just to be acknowledged, our drinks weren't nearly the quality they had been before, and the Bloody Mary tasted like it came straight from a mix instead of being handcrafted like our previous visits. The food was also disappointing. It was much saltier than we remembered, and we never received the Caesar salad with steak we ordered. To the staff's credit, it wasn't on our bill, so we didn't mention it. Overall, no one was rude, but the attention to detail, professionalism, and overall experience that earned our previous five-star reviews just wasn't there this time. We're hoping this was simply an off day because we genuinely loved this place and would like to see it return to the high standard that made us regular customers.
