I wasn't sure how to rate this because some of the other reviews seem to be about Koss products or their customer service in general. There is a big sign visible from the North-South Freeway (43) that says "KOSS WORLD HEADQUARTERS". Some of the older reviews indicate that this was a location with retail (outlet) sales available. It still says Outlet Store on the door but it seems they are only doing warrantee dropoffs. The paper sign on the door says "The Koss Factory Store is now open for Warranty only. For purchases, please visit us at www.koss.com. Thank you." Oh well :-( Pro tip: It can be hard to find. Put "4155 N Port Washington Rd, Milwaukee, WI 53212" into your GPS and look for the Home depot. Across the parking lot is the Koss building. read more

Sadly my wireless porta pros stopped working after 3 years of ownership using them daily as I do house chores. I called KOSS and explained that I needed a replacement for them and that I needed another older set replaced as well. I was told to come in the next afternoon for replacement and they replace my old discontinued headphones with a with a current replacement model and a new set of wireless porta pros. It was an easy exchange cementing in my mind why KOSS is a fantastic Milwaukee institution. read more

I was so impressed with this company, I promised my first Yelp review would have to be for them, and here it is: About a year ago I dug my Koss Pro4AA studio headphones out of the closet where they had lain in darkness through several presidential administrations due to a blown speaker. Dehydrated foam dust shook loose from both speakers. But I loved the sound quality from those headphones (now considered "retro") and I recalled that they supposedly had a "lifetime warranty," but I lost my sales receipt many, many moons ago, so normally I'd be s.o.l., correct? Wrong. I called Koss and they were awesome! I sent my poor dead headphones back to them with $12 for return shipping and they sent me a completely brand new pair! I was truly blown away. Imagine if other American companies demonstrated as much integrity and class as Koss! Wouldn't you be willing to pay an additional 30-to-50% for a product up front knowing that the manufacturer would stand behind it for years just because it had its name on the product versus some cheap Chinese made plastic crap whose only "guarantee" was that it would die within a couple of years (and the components can't even be recycled)? If only more American companies were like Koss. So Koss made me proud to be an American. And I love the sound of my replacement studio headphones. I just wish they weren't located in Packer territory. :( read more

I love my Koss Portapros. It takes some cajones for a company to sell the exact same headphones for 25 years, but Koss realized that they had perfection and they haven't messed with it. the look good, the fold up nice and small, and most importantly, they sound great. But I have plenty of electronics that I am perfectly happy with, so why is it that I find it necessary to review Koss? Their No Questions Asked Guarantee. I feel like everything I buy today is junk. Meant to be thrown out after a year of use and upgraded. My home is filled with obsolete or nonfunctional phones, cameras and mp3 players. From now on anyway, it is no longer going to be filled with obsolete headphones. My $30 lasted for a year of heavy use, probably about right for a pair of headphones, before a wire snagged and was pulled from the earphone. Rather than throwing them away, I am sending them to Koss for free repair. Who does that anymore? Koss does, that is why they have a new customer for life now. read more

Koss has some of the best headphones made. Bar none. I've used Pro3AAs for the past few years. These sound great for about $70, and sound better than many headphones costing quite a bit more. My Dad has used them as in studio headphones in radio since the 70s. Their lifetime warranty and customer service are awesome. My Pro3AAs broke at the hinge, and they replaced them, no problem. read more

Koss has great product and moreover a great little store and warranty center. The store isn't as big as it used to be, but they have very good prices. Their headphones have a generous lifetime warranty, which is especially convenient if you're here in town. You can call in your warranty claim to (414) 964-5000 a business day ahead of when you want to pick up, usually you can come the next business day after 1pm to trade out your broken headphones for a new or refurbished replacement, otherwise if you don't call ahead you have to drop them off one day and come back the next. The only times I've had to buy new headphones was for upgrading to their KTCs which have a built in mic and because I lost my pair. read more

These are the guys who invented stereophones; they have always made the best products in their field, and their Lifetime, No Questions Asked guarantee is the best guarantee you're going to find, anywhere; there are precious few companies who take care of you the way the Koss Corporation does. I have used their earphones from the beginning...late '50s. I also invest in their stock, which for some reason hasn't been doing very well, lately, but that's OK; I believe in supporting the businesses that take good care of me. It's the least I can do for a company that really, really stands behind their products. In the world of earphones, I've never been able to understand why anybody would buy any other brand. Koss Corporation maufactures stereo devices including wireless devices and headphones. Koss advertises on their web site a "No Questions Asked" warranty. Don't believe it. I purchased a Koss infared wireless headset. After only a few weeks one side of the headset broke. Two weeks later the other side broke. The plastic headset is poorly engineered, and cheaply made. I returned the headset to Koss under their "No Questions Asked" warranty policy. Koss denied receipt of the package, then in a return message told me that I could purchase another headset, at twice the price. Instead of adhering to their stated warranty policy, repairing or replacing the $20.00 headset, Koss wanted me to purchase another instead. Their customer service department staff is rude and intransigent. Koss obviously don't stand behind their cheaply made products or their obviously deceitful warranty statement. Koss products are very poorly made and the warranty is worthless. Their customer service department is advesarial and beligerent. If you want a good headset, look elsewhere, don't buy one from Koss, and if you do, don't expect it to last very long, and don't try to return it under their untruthful warranty.. read more
